Evelyn Indochine Chic in Central Hanoi

This is an absolutely perfect guesthouse in the heart of Hanoi, within walking distance to the Old Quarter and all major attractions. It's incredibly clean, cozy, and safe, making you feel right at home.

I stayed at this guesthouse with colleagues for a trade show, and it was super convenient. The owner even hung the key card on the door for us in advance. The room looked exactly like the pictures and was very clean. The guesthouse doesn't offer breakfast, but the owner recommended a lot of great local eateries and always greeted us warmly whenever we saw them. We tried the rice noodle shop the owner recommended, and the owner there was also very friendly, asking in Chinese, 'Do my rice noodles taste good?' They were good, but everyone thought they were a little too salty. For the next few days, we were too lazy to go far, so we tried a different rice noodle shop across the street in Alley #23. It's open for both breakfast and lunch, and we were pleasantly surprised by how delicious it was! For our last dinner, we had the grilled chicken rice that the owner recommended. It was decent, nothing special. However, when paying, the old man at the counter shortchanged me 200,000 dong, only giving me 20,000 dong back. If you go to this place, definitely double-check your change!

The location is fantastic! It's great value for money, and the owner even provides a food guide, so you don't have to do any research yourself. The room was very clean. This place is excellent; the owner even helped me with my dry cleaning. So grateful! Next time I'm in Hanoi, I'll definitely stay here again!

The environment here is great, and the room smells lovely. It has a fridge, microwave, and induction hob, which was super convenient for heating up food. We arrived in Hanoi at 5:30 AM, long before check-in, so we walked around for a while. The landlord was really nice and let us check in early. There's also a secure entry system, which made us feel safe. We could do laundry and dry our clothes on the 8th floor. We didn't realize someone was staying in the 8th-floor room at the time, whether it was the landlord or another guest. We ended up doing laundry quite late and made a lot of noise, possibly waking up that lady. We're really sorry about that 😩. There's a 7-Eleven and lots of great food near the hotel. The pho at the corner shop, right turn out of the hotel and at the end of the street, was pretty good (P1). However, the owner was very impatient and unfriendly. The second time we went, I was getting my change ready to pay, and she was so impatient she tried to snatch the money from my hand. I didn't let her, and she basically kicked us out. So, if you plan to go there, have your money ready beforehand. The dim sum at P2 was delicious, and the Saigon iced tea was great too. We spotted it on the way to Pho 10 from the hotel and just popped in – so glad we did, it was unexpectedly good! P3 is a small alley opposite the hotel entrance; the lady there makes amazing noodles and is always so sweet and smiling. All in all, we were very satisfied with this trip! ^_^

Seeing all the positive reviews, I was a bit skeptical and worried they might be fake, but I decided to give it a try. The hotel's location is excellent, tucked away in an alley right after you get off the transportation. The check-in process is quite unique; we arrived late and had to open the metal gate ourselves. The ground floor is pretty basic, but once we got into our room, we were all very impressed. It offers great value for money, and the window view was a pleasant surprise.

The room was clean and tidy, with great natural light and a beautiful view. It was very pleasant and comfortable. I'd definitely book this place again next time. The facilities were clean and well-maintained. The owner was also very kind and recommended some great local snacks and food. Excellent service!

No complaints, the room was big and clean. Most importantly, the location is great, very convenient for visiting Hoan Kiem Lake, and it's not noisy.
