Amber Lombok Beach Resort

This was the worst hotel experience I've ever had. The lobby was bare and had no air conditioning; sometimes they didn't even bother to turn on the fans. The toiletries were counterfeit, using branded bottles that were so old they looked like antiques, filled with fake liquid – did they think we'd never used the real thing? The toilet in my room seemed older than me. The water pressure was so low that it often wouldn't flush. The shower pressure was also terrible, making showers take forever. We asked staff to fix it, but it remained the same. The most complained-about aspect was breakfast. It was worse than a three-star hotel's breakfast, serving the same food every day. The owner is incredibly stingy. Even the plates were dirty. I suspect there's a problem with the hotel's management. I deeply regret booking this hotel. It was so bad that we decided to cancel our fourth night's stay. To this day, they still haven't refunded the cancellation fee they promised, denying they ever received the money. We called our bank, and they confirmed the hotel received the payment, but they still refuse to refund us. I actually feel sorry for the hotel staff. They seem exploited by the hotel; there's no shuttle service, so they have to drag luggage themselves. The staff all looked unhappy and seemed to carry the burden of their jobs. I totally understand why! Who would be happy working for such a stingy boss? After we switched to another hotel, the staff there were incredibly happy and provided excellent service, telling me how wonderful their boss was! See, that's the difference between a good boss and a bad one. Don't stay at this hotel, or you'll regret it!

Overall, it was decent but nothing extraordinary. The hotel's architectural style has a simple, natural beauty. The location is just okay; there aren't many shops or restaurants nearby. If you need to, you can rent a scooter and ride about 20 minutes to the next town. For families with kids, there's definitely room for improvement in terms of hotel cleanliness, dining, and facilities.
