The deposit is either cash or your passport. Leaving your passport as a deposit is unthinkable! 😲 Definitely do not do it! ⚠ Since I didn't have cash on hand, I paid in JPY. The room wasn't thoroughly cleaned; there were still cotton swabs left from the previous guest, and from the second day onwards, I was surprised to receive extremely tattered, rag-like towels (please see the photos). Also, Trip.com states that there's a bathtub, but be aware that this room type does not have one! ⚠ There are no spare toilet paper rolls either. The location is convenient, and I could see the ocean from the balcony. ◎ The breakfast was also decent and tasty. There are 5 hotel-exclusive sun loungers on the beach, which you can reserve in the morning. Note that towels are not provided at the beach, so you need to pick them up at the front desk before heading down. That's quite inconvenient.

This hotel is below average. The cleaning is poor. The toilet has very low water pressure; they tried to fix it, but it didn't work. The staff promised to sort it out with the manager, but no one did anything further. I didn't want to waste time arguing. Beach towels are only issued until 11 AM, so if you want to go to the beach in the evening, you won't get one. They take a deposit at check-in, even though the room actually has a dirty armchair and everything is run down, including dirty bathrobes and towels. No one there cleans or even sweeps.

A decent hotel. Very convenient location with a pool on the 22nd floor. Large balconies overlooking the sea.

The hotel staff were very welcoming, and the front desk agent was handsome and could even speak Chinese! They upgraded our room to one with a sea view, and it was clean and tidy. Overall, I'm very satisfied.

The room didn't have a balcony, and the plumbing was in terrible condition – everything was leaking and spraying. You can't even call the cleaning 'cleaning'; there was hair everywhere. Overall, it's okay for one night, but definitely not for an entire vacation.

The hotel is very cozy, with good breakfasts and polite staff. Excellent location. We recommend it.

We really liked the hotel. We had two rooms on the 14th floor, which were great. The balconies were large, and we even had a partial sea view (though we booked city view rooms). There were no insects, and the cleaning was good; everything was spotless. The staff was excellent – they fulfilled all our requests for the rooms (high floor, two rooms next to each other, large balcony, good view). The hotel's location is wonderful. It was my husband's birthday, and they came to congratulate him without us even asking or reminding them, which was a lovely touch. The only thing we didn't like was a damp smell. Overall, it's 100% value for money. A big thank you to the staff for our wonderful stay at Hotel Nagar. We will definitely be back!
