This was my 4th time in Ubud but first time in Krisna House aka Khrisna House .Location: Excellent about 100M off Jalan Ubud. There are some nice places to eat nearby. The street is one way but not busy at all. No noise from nearby properties was discerned. The property is well maintained, and the grounds and buildings look well maintained in a Balinese way. Only 4 daybeds are around the pool for 12 rooms, but we never had an issue getting a space at the time of our stay. The pool is pleasantly cool though elderly/less mobile people may have difficulties with access but ten again Ubud is not suited to less mobile people. Wi-Fi - excellent speed test was 10mbs Staff: The staff were helpful without being too strong in western-style hospitality. The reception area is simple and not staffed like a high-level hotel and for the price why expect that level? Probably a little shy but they were fine. Breakfast: Included only two options Omelets or pancakes with banana, both underwhelming. Both were rudimentary and again fine considering the price. Coffee is powdered. Go instead to Herb Library, Pisah (close and really nice food and coffee fit for an Aussie), Runs Warung or Moon by Sun. The rooms. We had 2 during our stay as they needed a twin for new guests. Room1: overlooked the pool. The bed is excellent, AC is good. the bedding was of a high class. Issues where the floor in the bathroom was tiled with a shiny tile that was obviously beyond their control but felt slippery. The stopper in the sink was broken/missing, we actually bought a plug to shave etc. (see staff above). Additional towels and pillows were not a problem. Room2: overlooked the rear of the valley behind the property, it was a later build and some of the design issues were addressed. The floor in the bathroom was with a non-slip tile etc. but the light switch is in the stairwell outside the room. No biggie as lamps were plentiful. There is no safe in either room. There are safes in some of the rooms but not all. Also no ability to leave passports at reception. That said, it felt quite secure but it did not give piece of mind. There are no toiletries other than a wrapped sliver of soap. Bring your own shampoo etc. Would I go again? Yes though we love exploring new places.
