Valora Residence West Lake - 31 Xuan Dieu

An excellent choice for exploring Hanoi! I really loved the location – just a few minutes from West Lake, making it perfect for a morning stroll or enjoying coffee with a view of the water. The self-check-in was another huge plus. Everything was quick and hassle-free, which is especially convenient after a late flight or a long journey. The room was clean, quiet, and comfortable for relaxing. The neighborhood is peaceful, yet there are plenty of cafes and restaurants nearby. It's a great combination of convenient location, comfort, and value for money. I would happily stay here again. Oh, and the view of the rooftops from the window was also lovely!

The hotel is cozy, although it looks a bit different from the photos. Getting there isn't super convenient, but the staff are incredibly welcoming and friendly. We communicated via WhatsApp, which was handy. It was great being able to get the keys without any physical interaction. It saved time and made check-in much smoother. They were also very accommodating and let us leave our luggage there after check-out, so we could explore the city without extra baggage. We're very grateful for that!

First off, the owner's hospitality was amazing! She let me check in early with no extra charge. She even helped me find a great deal on a high-quality scooter rental. The room was cozy, clean, and fully equipped with everything I needed, including a hairdryer and an iron. Whenever I needed assistance, the home was super quick to help. I'm extremely satisfied with this place. 10/10!

This guesthouse offers excellent value for money. It's located right by West Lake, and there's a convenience store and a bistro downstairs, making it easy to grab groceries or breakfast. The entire check-in process is self-service; after booking, the guesthouse sends you the codes for the main door and the room key box, making everything super smooth. If you have any questions during your stay, you can directly message the owner on the platform, and they are always responsive and quick to reply. Highly recommended!

I stayed for 3 nights. The hotel is located on a quiet side street, but it was surprisingly easy to find, and I didn't get lost. The surrounding area offered many dining and cafe options. It was an attractive location with a calm atmosphere, yet you could still catch glimpses of local life. What was particularly helpful during my stay was being able to communicate with the host via LINE. For a Japanese person, this was incredibly smooth and reassuring. They readily accommodated requests for toilet paper refills and towel changes. Furthermore, there were many instances where I felt their hospitality, such as free snacks and water service, and free-to-use washing machines and dryers (one of each). The closet was also large, so I had no trouble organizing my luggage. Above all, I felt that the quietness at this location and the price made it extremely good value for money. However, there were a few concerns regarding hygiene and security. First, the inside of the refrigerator was dirty and had a strong, unpleasant odor, so I ended up not using it at all. Also, there was water left in the electric kettle, presumably from the previous guest, which gave me the impression that the cleaning of the wet areas was not thorough, and that was disappointing. Regarding security, the master card was left next to the door without a lock, which made me uneasy. For safety, I kept the master card inside my room during my stay. Overall, it was a comfortable stay with excellent cost performance. I feel that if the cleaning and other issues were improved, I would be able to recommend it to others with more confidence.
