This time I chose a larger room and was very satisfied with everything. The breakfast was actually quite good and plentiful. However, I noticed a lot of changes since my last stay; for example, there's no longer a shuttle bus, and you now need to book the Donan Bus in advance. The hot springs, though, are still as satisfying as ever, with many pools of varying temperatures to choose from, including outdoor rotenburo.

The hotel is located right next to Jigokudani Monkey Park. It has a large indoor onsen and an outdoor hot spring for guests to enjoy.
We stayed in a Japanese-style room in the main building. While a bit dated, it was very clean. Staff would come in the evening to set up the futons, and we slept very comfortably.
The hotel's buffet dinner was excellent, with great food.

Right by Noboribetsu's Jigokudani (Hell Valley) volcano, our room had a sulfurous volcanic smell. You gradually get used to it – but if you absolutely can't stand the rotten egg smell of sulfur, be warned! Overall, it was a great experience. The sulfur hot spring water was very authentic, and there was a good variety of baths. We happened to visit during New Year's and the hotel even had a magic show 🎭 which added to the fun atmosphere! I'd definitely come again!

Room is spacious. The onsen is the biggest I have ever been with two floors and up to five different free flowing hot springs. Fascinating experience & comfort.👍🏼

The room was spacious, and the East Wing facilities felt quite new. The view from the window in the morning was beautiful. The service was good, though the hot springs were a bit crowded. The outdoor hot spring views were just so-so and not very clear at night.
The front desk staff were very attentive; they gave detailed directions, including bus schedules for going to Noboribetsu Station. There was even one staff member who spoke Chinese.
The restaurant was decent. The roasted beef was quite tasty, but the duck soba was very average. It wasn't expensive.
There's a shop in the hotel selling snacks and local specialties, which was very convenient, and the staff there were excellent. I left my room key at the hot springs, and the staff helped me retrieve it – much appreciated!

Very nice hotel location is a bit far from the bus stop which is a bit tricky to navigate during winter quite hard to book a taxi as well tho from the hotel the staff were able to book a taxi for us to the station within minutes

Great Stay!!! The hotel is just walking distance to Jigokudani, many restaurants and mini markets. We had a fabulous experiences at the Onsen as well.
