I paid for one room for two nights twice. First, I booked online, but my flight was delayed because of the recent war situation. I contacted the hotel and asked whether I should change the booking date myself or if they could adjust it manually. They told me not to worry and said they would change it for me.
When I arrived, they ask more I paid another 5,000 in cash for the same room . That was my mistake — I trusted them instead of changing or cancelling the booking myself when I had the option. I chose the lazy option, and now I regret it.
But the next part is even more shocking.
On the last day, I called a friend to help me because I had three very heavy pieces of luggage and could not manage them alone. My friend lives in Dhaka with his own family, and he only came to help me. He was not staying permanently, just resting in the room for a while.
The hotel staff never mentioned even once that a king room was only for one person. We went past reception around five times during the day, and nobody said anything. Then suddenly at 3 AM they told me I had to pay an extra 2,000 if my friend stayed.
Think about that: after already paying 5,000 for a king-size room, they still demand extra money just because one more person is there. It felt like they were trying to take more money from my pocket.
If they had told me earlier, I could have sent my friend home during the day. But saying it at 3 AM is unacceptable and unsafe — how dangerous would it be to send someone out that late at night? Later one reception staff said, “It’s okay, I will manage it,” but in the morning they again demanded the extra 2,000. Very unprofessional and unreasonable. No option have to give
The room itself also made the whole experience worse:
• TV was not smart, only local channels
• Picture quality felt like the 90s
• Wi-Fi was extremely slow, almost like 2G 📶
• Bed was not very comfortable
• Toilet smelled bad, maybe because the room had not been used for a long time
• Shower was fixed above the bathtub, with no removable shower head, so you had to stand awkwardly in one corner
• Bathroom fittings felt old and inconvenient
Overall, this journey became a horrible experience because of this all incident.
Horrible, horrible, horrible.
Please reconsider before booking here — there are many better options available for less money
