Mitsui Garden Hotel Kumamoto

Really nice hotel room, at a prime location. Walking distance to the Main Street and the castle, really recommend this hotel.

Unfortunately, we didn’t manage to get the Kumamon-themed room, but the excellent service more than made up for it! From check-in to parking and the front counter, the staff were consistently helpful and attentive. I even received assistance with parking our car in their container lot, which requires some pretty precise manoeuvring. When they found out it was my husband’s birthday, they kindly offered us a Kumamon pin to keep - such a thoughtful little gesture! They were also happy to provide a luggage trolley when we returned our rental car with our many pieces of luggage. Another lovely touch is their free postage service when using the hotel’s free postcard. I had my own postcard with a stamp ready, and they even gladly helped me post it! These little gestures really made us feel well taken care of, and we had a very pleasant stay at Mitsui Garden Hotel Kumamoto.

Good location near the center shopping street. Car parking is available for a fee, and public parking is also available nearby. Hotel is clean and well kept, although it is starting to show its age. Good service and overall good value for money.

The rooms were clean and comfortable, the staff friendly and helpful, and the location is perfect for exploring the city. A special mention goes to the lovely entrance area featuring Kumamon — the giant bear mascot at the lobby is adorable and makes for a fun photo spot right when you walk in!

good hotel can sleep with kuma👍🏻Sadly to say earthquake was happened the next day after. Hope the tourists will choose this hotel for Kumamoto recovery

Very nice hotel with good location, friendly staff and good breakfast.

Great seevice! Very clean! Nevertheless, breakfast was too expensive, so we had ours outside. Location was walking distance to the main touristic attractions, Sakura Machi mall and airport bus terminal also inside the mall.
