This will be my worst review ever on Trip.com. Avoid this place at all costs!!
When booking, it showed that standard rooms were full, so I booked a suite. I specifically chose this hotel for the sea view after looking at the rankings. Upon check-in, they put me on the lowest floor. I figured maybe it was fully booked since I arrived late, so I didn't say anything. But when I got to the room, I found some liquid, either water or oil, not wiped clean on the table. I went to the front desk, showed them photos, and asked to switch rooms. They even wanted to come and check it out with us. It was my first time seeing such a reaction – no apology, just this. ☺️☺️ Is this what they call "service"?
After they saw it, they did move us to a higher floor. So, it wasn't that there weren't high floors available; they intentionally gave us a lower one, right? I even specifically requested a room with a better view when I booked, haha. Later, I checked Xiaohongshu (Little Red Book) and found out this hotel *prioritizes* assigning "tail rooms" (less desirable rooms) to tourists with Chinese passports.
I didn't ask for housekeeping the first day, so on the second night, I left the 'change sheets' sign on the bed. When I came back, the sheets were even more crumpled than a squeezed pickled vegetable, and they didn't even refill the water. I looked up and saw a large tear in the wallpaper. And *this* is a recommended hotel? Seriously, it just made me laugh. I've given Trip.com a long feedback session, hoping it can help filter out such places and provide more accurate information. Thank you.
