I'd call this unbeatable. First off, the front desk service was truly above and beyond my expectations. It was snowing heavily, and the bellhop was still waiting outside for guests to arrive, helping with luggage. The outdoor private onsen in the room was also exceptional; the view and atmosphere were incredible. The breakfast, with its unbeatable ocean view, topped it all off. I had a wonderful day in Hakodate!

Unfortunately, my recent stay fell well short of expectations and was simply not worth the price paid. The property's facilities are noticeably outdated, and our room had a strong smoke odor that made it difficult to relax. Staff insisted on charging for an additional person's dinner, even explained would not be eating with us. highly disappointing experience and a poor overall value.

Nice service and buffet from the hotel. Nice room with the sea view and nice onsen next to the sea. Only one bad thing is onsen facility is closed during the morning. Was disappointed because as an onsen hotel but they don’t provide the onsen during morning.

Our stay was amazing! Even though we had the city view, from our window we were still able to see the ocean view slightly and it was beautiful! Nearby there are two convenience stores and a ramen restaurant that was delicious. The breakfast buffet was great as well, we were able to sit by the window with the ocean view as well as the onsen. Wish it was better weather!

The staff doesn't try to hide the unequal service offered to foreign guests compared to that of the locals. No staff member offered to help us with our luggage. The rooms have poor sound isolation and you can hear your neighbours and the room above very clearly, particularly foot steps, which make sleeping difficult.
