Peninsula Hotel Danang

The ocean view room offered a truly beautiful scenery. Breakfast was served on the 3rd and 28th floors (the 28th floor was halal-friendly; you take the elevator to the 27th floor and then a spiral staircase to the 28th). The 3rd-floor breakfast area also offered Japanese food. The toilet was a TOTO with a bidet, and the shower had a bathtub, making for a very comfortable stay. What's more, the hotel is right in front of the sea, which was great for being able to return to the hotel immediately after playing in the ocean. Although it was the furthest from the cluster of hotels along the coast, that meant the beach was less crowded, which was a plus.

The hotel itself isn't huge, but it's very clean and the staff's attentive and personalized service to each guest left a great impression. The optional afternoon tea was also a delightful experience.

The hotel is super close to My Khe Beach, just a three-minute walk away. It's also very near the city center, only about a ten-minute Grab ride. The hotel's pool and breakfast are also quite good, offering great value for money. Definitely recommend!

Wonderful hotel with excellent service and cleanliness. The room offered a magnificent view of the sea and the morning sunrise. In the evening, you could watch the sunset from the bar next to the pool. Highly recommend, 10/10. A pleasant surprise was that, in addition to breakfast, afternoon tea with snacks, pastries, and fruits was also included.

The hotel's location is a bit far from the bustling areas, and there are fewer dining options nearby. It's more suitable for couples who prefer to dine at the hotel's own restaurants or other nearby hotel restaurants. The room cleaning service was subpar. We had to call every day to request cleaning, and they would only arrive late in the afternoon, almost at dusk. However, the room itself was indeed spacious, faced the sea, and had new, clean decor, making it feel very comfortable.

I booked a month and a half in advance and was able to stay on the 20th floor (the highest guest room floor is 26th) for 13,000 yen for two people! You can drop off your luggage before check-in. If you check in after 2 PM, they offer a sweet lime tea (TRA CHANH) which is absolutely delicious! The staff also bring your luggage to your room, making it super easy. We also got complimentary afternoon tea from 2 PM to 5 PM (I think?) and breakfast from 6 AM to 10 AM. I only stayed for one night this time, but they informed me that I could enjoy the afternoon tea I missed on check-in day from 2 PM to 5 PM on my check-out day! How lovely! ✨ Plus, complimentary foot care, which required a reservation, was also included, making my stay incredibly satisfying! I'd love to stay here again! ❤️

Check-in is at 2 PM, with a deposit of 1 million VND or $100. Our room on the 9th floor had a large, comfortable bed, nice linens, two big mirrors, a panoramic window, and a shower with good toiletries. No iron, but bathrobes are provided. Breakfast was excellent, with a great variety. Afternoon tea was a nice bonus. The pool on the 27th floor is super. There are two seafood restaurants and a small supermarket nearby. The beach is just across the road. To the right of the hotel entrance, there's a foot wash station for after the beach. I definitely recommend this hotel.

I stayed for 4 nights, in two different room types. Here's my feedback: For breakfast, I highly recommend going to the 28th floor. The 3rd floor is too noisy. The complimentary foot bath and afternoon tea are nice if you have time, but you won't miss much if you skip them. When checking in, make sure to request a room facing Son Tra Peninsula, otherwise, you'll be looking directly at the adjacent building. The hotel pool has a great view, but it gets very crowded, and there are only 4 loungers. On our first night, we found there was no hairdryer in the room. Luckily, we called the front desk, and they quickly brought one. This was especially concerning because we saw a book in the room listing prices for all items – loss or damage would be charged accordingly. A hairdryer was 1.2 million dong! Another afternoon, the toilet got clogged. However, the front desk responded fairly quickly. Only the front desk staff had acceptable English proficiency. The restaurant staff didn't even understand 'over hard' or 'hard boiled' for eggs. During this trip, I stayed at two 5-star hotels in Da Nang: Hoiana New World Beach Resort and The Peninsula. If I had to compare the two, overall, The Peninsula's staff, dining, and room amenities (both soft and hard goods) did not meet true 5-star hotel standards. The New World was much better.
