Hotel Nikko Kumamoto

This stay exceeded my expectations, and the check-in process was smooth and effortless. What touched me most were the service details—every time I returned to the room and met the staff, they would greet me warmly, proactively help press the elevator button, and were both polite and thoughtful. The room was impeccably clean and tidy, offering a very comfortable environment. Planning to go to an izakaya in the evening, I consulted the concierge; they patiently asked about our preferences, recommended a few great local spots, and even helped us make a reservation by phone. The recommended izakaya was amazing. Overall, the experience was fantastic, highly recommended!

The hotel is located in Kumamoto's most bustling area, and overall, it has a vibe of rising economic prosperity. Even when returning late at night, there's always someone by the elevator waiting to press the button for you. All staff members proactively greet guests, and the breakfast is abundant and delicious. The toiletries and hair dryer on this floor are all Refa, which are very pleasant to use.

The hotel is conveniently located near the tram station and a shopping street, making it highly recommended. The service is excellent, and the environment is very pleasant, ensuring a great stay.

The Japanese-style room was very quiet and spacious. I highly recommend staying here if you're visiting Kumamoto. The Kumamoto Prefectural Museum of Art is right downstairs. I always stay at Nikko hotels when I travel to Japan because their service is consistently reliable.

The staff were very polite, and the hotel's location was excellent, right next to a shopping street and within walking distance of Kumamoto Castle. I just heard about the earthquake in Kumamoto today; I hope everyone is safe!

I stayed in Fukuoka for three nights in total on this trip. Two nights in Fukuoka, then one night in Beppu after checking out, and then back to Fukuoka for another night. To avoid bringing luggage to Beppu, I booked the same hotel, but with two different room types. The standard double room was actually better than the larger room type; there was no strange odor in the bathroom, and while it was a bit smaller (though relatively spacious for Japan), the layout was more functional and didn't hinder luggage placement. The hotel offers self-service luggage storage, but it's not for overnight. After discussing my situation with the front desk, they agreed to store my suitcase there overnight.

This is an established five-star hotel. I've stayed at Nikko hotels in several locations, and they've all been great. The staff member was very kind, personally escorting me to my room and explaining all the facilities and how to use them. It was a very satisfying trip.
