Lotte Hotel Jeju

This hotel has a fantastic resort vibe! Joking aside, it really combines several key features found around Seogwipo: Jungmun Beach, an orange grove view, and even a columnar joint formation. The lobby even has pink muhly grass. The overall facilities in the room felt a bit dated, but thankfully they were well-maintained. However, the door lock broke while I was staying there (it was fixed). Some staff at the front desk spoke a little Chinese, and the service was decent (mainly communicating in English). The heated pool was excellent, and the kids had a great time. The on-site kids' play area is quite small, differing significantly in scale from what you'd find in a family-friendly hotel in China, making it more suitable for children under 2. It's quite convenient for shopping and dining nearby (though not for serious retail therapy, haha).

This hotel is located in Seogwipo. From the airport, you can take bus 600 or 601 directly to the hotel entrance, which takes less than an hour, making it quite convenient. It's within walking distance of the most beautiful Starbucks, and there's an Olive Young nearby that's much less crowded than the ones in the city center. It's also very close to the Jusangjeolli Cliff. Right next to the hotel, there's a small commercial area with a few restaurants and a convenience store, which is very handy. While it might not be as convenient as hotels in the city center, it definitely offers a stronger resort vibe. The hotel pool even has evening performances, creating a wonderful atmosphere.

The hotel environment is excellent, the service is attentive, and there's a wide variety of breakfast options.

The hotel's location is truly excellent, and the balcony view is beautiful. The hotel's decor and room furnishings are standard; nothing spectacular, but also nothing uncomfortable. The room isn't huge, but it doesn't feel cramped for two people. The hotel breakfast is good, but it's not cheap, so the value for money feels just average. Setting aside the breakfast price, the hotel still offers good value.

Even though star-rated hotels on Jeju Island are generally pricey, Lotte still offers good value for money. The Hello Kitty room was dreamy and beautiful, and quite spacious too. I really loved the pool.

The room itself was great, and the swimming pool was right downstairs. However, you have to pay 30,000 Korean Won for two hours to use the lounge chairs, which was a bit much. The beach wasn't far, but you had to go down a very steep wooden staircase to get there. Also, you couldn't go near the sea to dig in the sand if there was a strong typhoon. The Teddy Bear Museum was within walking distance, and the 7-Eleven right outside the hotel was really convenient. For over 2,000 a night, no breakfast was a bit shocking, but everything else was good. The kids' play area is suitable for children under 5; older kids might find it a bit childish.

Excellent! The swimming pool is fantastic and my baby loved it. The breakfast spread is amazing, with a huge variety of fruits, cold dishes, hot dishes, and desserts. We were so full after breakfast that we didn't even need lunch. Plus, you can walk directly to the beach along the boardwalk, which is great!

I booked this two months in advance, and the front desk gave me a room at the very end of the hall, about a 10-minute walk from the lobby. Everything else was fine. The outdoor pool is huge, but the Koreans are super rigid – they wouldn't let anyone in until exactly 9 AM. The hotel's buffet breakfast is 409 per person, and dinner is 800 per person, which isn't great value for money. However, there's only one convenience store nearby, so cup noodles are the only option for breakfast. The hotel has bowling, a kids' club, and an arcade, which are all nice. You can walk to the beach, but it's a very tiring uphill climb, and you can't swim in the sea.
