Youli Hotel is THE BEST! The staff are helpful and friendly, and they can speak English. Also, the room’s very clean and smells good. For the location, it’s not far from People’s Square Station (Exit 15), making everything’s super convenient for us. We’ll go back to stay there for sure and will definitely recommend the hotel to everyone we know. Thank you!

We spent 5 days at this hotel, and we really enjoyed it. The room had a window, the bathroom was in good condition, and everything was clean. The hotel staff was very friendly and responsive; they even gave us a souvenir and a postcard, which was very nice. Overall, I really liked this hotel, and I would recommend it.

Optimal location near the Bund and other popular attractions. The room was very clean with a comfy bed and suited our needs perfectly, it was also cleaned daily. The hotel had a nice overall smell. For very light sleepers I would advise getting a room that isn’t directly facing the road, as you’d otherwise be near the Family Mart and could potentially hear the chime. The staff was very friendly and helpful and always smiling.

Three years later, I'm back in Shanghai and staying at the same hotel. The location is unbeatable, very close to People's Square subway station and not far from Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street. The price is reasonable, and it's relatively quiet, away from the bustling city, offering excellent value for money. There's a FamilyMart convenience store right at the entrance and Shen Dacheng across the street. The service is excellent; the staff even gave me a fridge magnet and water when I checked out. They offer free luggage storage, so I could check out at noon and then explore a bit more before coming back for my bags. However, the air conditioning vent blew directly, and some room types don't have windows, which made them feel stuffy.

The Youli is by far the best hotel I stayed in over my 30 days in China. The staff were so welcoming and kind. It was my birthday the day I checked in and when I got back to my room the staff had left my a beautiful little birthday cake and gift, I was overwhelmed with joy. The staff were helpful with all enquiries and politely greeting me every time I went in or out. The room was exceptionally clean and well serviced. The bedding was comfortable and very clean. The location is fantastic with easy access to all of the sights. Overall my best hotel experience this trip. Highly recommend and I would absolutely stay again if I’m in Shanghai. High praise for the fantastic Youli team!!!!
