It is beautiful onsen hotel and very close to the boat cruise cruise pier.  The onsen is big with 3 big ponds and one cold water pond.  The buffet dinner and breakfast are just OK.

The hotel lobby features many unique wood carvings, which is quite special. The staff are warm and welcoming. The room size is just right, and the bedding is comfortable. There are three hot springs, all of which are excellent and very relaxing. Both breakfast and dinner are buffet style with a rich and varied selection. Highly recommended.

The room was fantastic! I felt like I got my money's worth just from the buffet – I stayed for 4 days and gained 1kg! Soaking in the hot springs twice a day was incredibly relaxing. The ice activities on Lake Akan were a lot of fun. There's a free shuttle to the Lake Akan Ski Resort, where I skied for 3 days and finally got the hang of it.
