Wombat's City Hostel Budapest

Extended and booked another night as it's not difficult to feel comfortable and things are quite convenient. Found the wifi in the room could be a bit spotty but doing work at the common area was quite alright

Absolutely amazing hostel! The cleanliness, staff behavior, and overall atmosphere are simply outstanding. I have stayed at Wombat’s City Hostels in Munich, Vienna, and now Budapest, and every single time, the atmosphere has surprised me in the best possible way. Each hostel has its own charm, but the hospitality, friendly vibes, and welcoming environment have been consistently awesome across all three locations. Everything is well maintained, the staff are friendly and helpful, and the overall experience makes you feel comfortable from the moment you arrive. Wombat’s is not just a place to stay; it’s an experience in itself. Every time I stay with this hostel chain, they manage to exceed my expectations. You guys are simply awesome. Keep up the great work! Highly recommended!

Location was good. But not the hostel, quite old building.but gather point was good.

I stayed in a 4-bed dorm with an attached bathroom. The room was clean and comfortable overall. I went during summer, so it was quite hot. There was a fan for each bunk bed, which helped, but it was still a little warm at night. One thing I didn’t really like was the luggage storage. If you arrive early or need to leave your luggage after checking out, you have to use the lockers, which cost €3 for every 2 hours. I felt this was a bit expensive and not very convenient. But the location was really good! St. Stephen’s Basilica is about a 10-minute walk away, and the Chain Bridge is around 15 minutes away. The hostel is also surrounded by lots of nice cafés and restaurants. The famous Mama Goulash is just about a 6-minute walk away. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and would recommend it, especially because of the location. 😊
