U Story Resort

The location is good, close to the beach. There are many hotels like this in the Philippines, but this is Siquijor. The hotel facilities aren't great, and the service is so-so. You can go snorkeling directly, but there are no fish. The sunset view is nice, but the food is average, overpriced, and not very good.

There were too many poisonous insects; the beach was teeming with ants. The rooms were also poorly furnished; several of our rooms had insects, and several of us checked out early. We were bitten so many times and felt terrible for days. The manager initially offered some compensation, but the owner refused. We couldn't stay any longer and checked out a day early, but we were forced to sign an early check-out agreement. Chinese people don't cheat Chinese people. The beach itself was quite nice.

When you go to the hotel front desk, be sure to ask where the security guard is. I went to the wrong one. The room is a stand-alone building with a bed and a small sofa. The bathroom is semi-open-air, which is quite romantic. Just remember to lock the main door and bathroom door at night. It's pet-friendly, so if you're afraid of dogs, remember not to order steak, as dogs will sniff it out and won't leave. The owner feeds the dogs steak every week. Also, the hotel has its own glass sea view, just down the stairs. The cliffside restaurant has an unbeatable location. I didn't sit there to make it easier to call the waiter.

The water heater was broken, and no one came to fix it, so I ended up showering in cold water. There was no one at the front desk, so if you needed help, you'd have no idea who was there. The restaurant was even more expensive than Coco's, with a bottle of Coke costing 110p, while the Coco's next door was only 70p. I don't know where the good reviews came from, but this was the worst hotel of the entire trip, bar none! Most importantly, it's unfriendly to Chinese people. This kind of hotel shouldn't even be on the list!

U Story... the perfect setting for an unforgettable stay. Everything is absolutely perfect. The resort is ideally located in a paradisiacal setting. The accommodations are magnificent, immaculate, spacious, well-equipped, functional, and high-quality. And the resort itself is stunning. An infinity pool with breathtaking sea views. Splendid outdoor gardens for relaxing in paradise in a hammock or on a sun lounger, facing the sea, at sunset, or under the coconut palms. Direct access to the sea for diving or snorkeling with a dive center if needed. A lovely massage hut... an excellent, excellent, excellent restaurant; whether it's breakfast, lunch, cocktails, or dinner, it's simply exceptional. It's delicious, varied, refined... and finally, the staff... incredibly kind. I thank them from the bottom of my heart for their kindness, their thoughtfulness, their big hearts ❤️ U Story, the best stay of my life.

Exceptional. The owner and the entire team (waiters, bartenders, cooks) are incredibly kind and professional. The location and layout are superb. We will definitely return. Olivier and Véro, Hibiscus room 🌺
