K2 Hostel

The hostel is not far from the train station and within walking distance. There are many car rental shops along the way, so those with a lot of luggage can rent a car first before heading over. There's a bus stop nearby, and Ubikes are available at the train station to get into the downtown area. Overall, it's quite convenient, except that there aren't many dining options in the immediate vicinity. During this stay, I booked a mixed dorm. The room was on the second floor, and the small lounge was on the ground floor. I really liked that food and drink are separated from the sleeping quarters, which keeps the rooms clean. The lounge has a small refrigerator, so those who like cold drinks don't have to worry, and the kitchenette features a filtered water tap, making it easy to stay hydrated. Inside the room, there are eight-bed dorm setups, each with its own locker. Visually, it looks like a 28-inch suitcase would fit inside without a problem. There's also a simple clothes drying rack, and though I didn't use it, a hairdryer is provided. Personally, I found the beds quite spacious, and the design of the power outlets and reading lights is very convenient. The air conditioning was also strong enough. The bed by the window is slightly blocked, making it ideal for anyone sensitive to cold. There is a shared bathroom in the room, and if someone is using it, there's another one on the ground floor. The overall vibe of the place is very comfortable and relaxing, and the guests all help maintain this atmosphere together. It's truly wonderful, and a place I would love to stay at again.

Although it's about a 10-minute walk to Taitung Railway Station, which isn't super close, the room was clean and comfortable. I especially liked the separate wet and dry areas in the bathroom. The whole space felt very cozy, and overall, I had a pretty good stay.

I know it's probably been washed, but it still felt a bit off-putting. - There was a slight urine smell in the restroom when you walked in, though it wasn't strong and couldn't be smelled from outside. - It would be great if they could also clean the dust off the electrical appliances and wires during cleaning; it would make the place look much tidier.

Great experience! There's a water dispenser on the first floor and the dining area is also downstairs. It's good that you can't eat in the rooms for cleanliness reasons. The showers are shared. The room was quiet and comfortable.

The owner was very kind, and I really liked the room layout. I even forgot some items when checking out, and the owner helped me wash them and told me I could pick them up whenever I had time. I'd definitely want to stay here again next time I'm in Taitung.

A very comfortable environment, perfect for solo female travelers or friends traveling together in a triple room for women. I was lucky enough to meet friendly and chatty roommates, which made for a wonderful experience ❤️
