Great stay, loved the self check in :) would stay again! The location was slightly out of old quarter which is both a blessing and a curse but works well if you want a bit of a quieter stay

We stayed at Lilo’s Home Stay West Lake for 5 days during our Hanoi trip and booked 3 rooms. The location near West Lake is good and the atmosphere was decent, but we faced several issues during our stay. One room had an air conditioner issue for 2–3 days, which caused discomfort. Another room had a washroom handle problem that needed maintenance. Also, the room sizes were smaller than expected and did not fully match the description shown during booking. In addition, road construction work outside the property made reaching the stay difficult and uncomfortable, especially with luggage. The property has potential and the staff were polite, but better maintenance, accurate room descriptions, and improved accessibility would make the experience much better.

I stayed here for two days initially, and the room during that time was comfortable with no issues. However, when I extended my stay and moved to another room, I experienced several serious problems. The lights in the room were not working, so I had to stay in the dark the entire time. I even had to take a shower in complete darkness. Eventually, the air conditioner also stopped working, and I had to endure the heat. I contacted the host, but the response was very slow. I finally received a call right before check-out, but nothing was resolved. It seems the host was not nearby, which may explain the delayed response. A staff member only came to the room just before check-out and said they would fix the electricity, but by then it was already too late for us. There was no apology, and no offer of compensation or refund. I understand that issues can happen, but I believe there are ways to properly handle such situations. Unfortunately, their response was not professional in terms of hospitality. I am very disappointed with this experience. I hope they improve their service so that other guests do not have to go through the same situation.

Excellent value for money. I only stayed one night for a stopover, and it's the perfect place to avoid traffic jams, as it's not right in the city center. However, the bedding isn't the most comfortable, but it's fine for one night.

A great small hotel with everything you need for a comfortable stay, despite the room's size. I liked everything, including the location—it's a short walk to the mausoleum if you enjoy walking. The old city center is a 10-minute drive away.

HONEST REVIEW I spent a month traveling in Vietnam, and Lilo’s Homestay was truly one of the best places I stayed. The room looked exactly like the photos—a beautiful mezzanine-style space with two beds (one upstairs and one downstairs). It was very well-equipped, featuring two air conditioners, two fans, a washing machine, and a complete set of cooking and dining utensils. The amenities were also very complete, making it perfect for long stays. Most importantly, the place was very clean and incredibly comfortable 😊 I accidentally left my watch there, and they kindly kept it for me for quite a long time until I could return to Vietnam. The owner and staff were extremely helpful and kind—I truly appreciate their hospitality 😊 When I come back, I will definitely stay at Lilo’s Homestay again. FYI: The homestay is a bit far from the Old Quarter, so I recommend using Grab. Thankfully, Grab is very affordable, so the distance wasn’t an issue for me 😉 There’s also a lake nearby and a few nice coffee spots around the area, which I really enjoyed 😊

The room was very clean and well managed. The facilities are so complete equipped by microwave, real refrigerator, washing machine, hairdryer. The staffs also helpful, we can store the luggages before check in time
