Hyatt Regency Waikiki Beach Resort & Spa

The soundproofing in the room was terrible. We were on the 9th floor, facing the road and the sea, but it was incredibly noisy. The hotel was also crowded. However, it was quite convenient to get to the beach, just across the road, and the beach chairs and towels were free to rent.

The hotel's location is excellent, right by the Duke Kahanamoku statue on Waikiki Beach, making it convenient for getting around and shopping. It has two large buildings with many rooms, which were reasonably clean. The breakfast was very mediocre; after three days, we decisively gave up and went out to find food elsewhere.

We booked a sea-view room, but it wasn't a full sea view, more like 70%. The balcony windows had excellent soundproofing. Unfortunately, the buffet and the bar by the pool had pretty high prices for in-house dining. For breakfast, I recommend buying from Kai Coffee downstairs. There are free activities like lei-making available; you can scan the QR code to book online as some have limited spots. Overall, it's a hotel with good value and service.

I originally wanted to book a twin sea view room, but only king sea view rooms were available. When I arrived at the hotel, I asked to switch to a twin sea view room, but the front desk said there were no vacancies. So I gave up, but after checking in, they added an extra bed, which was very thoughtful. The hotel's location is excellent; you just cross the road downstairs to get to the beach. There's also an ABC convenience store, a coffee shop, and a Chinese restaurant downstairs. The room doesn't provide bottled water, but they gave us two bottles to fill up, and there's an ice machine where you can get water. Getting around is also very convenient; you can pinpoint the hotel's entrance for Uber pickups, unlike another hotel where you can't.

The hotel is right next to Waikiki Beach; just cross the street and you're there. It's super convenient for shopping and entertainment. You can rent beach towels and loungers on the 3rd floor. Breakfast is also on the 3rd floor; the selection is a bit simpler compared to hotels back home, but the food tastes good.

This was my first trip to Hawaii, and I'm so glad I chose this hotel! It's super convenient – the trolley stop is right in front of the hotel, and the beach is just across the street. It was perfect for getting anywhere we wanted to go. I thought I had booked a room with a view of both the beach and Diamond Head, but it turned out to be an oceanfront room on the 10th floor. The view was absolutely beautiful and so relaxing. I did notice the walls seemed a bit thin. At night, we could clearly hear loud music from the room next door and a baby crying, haha. I guess it probably varies from room to room. The complimentary water server and free beach towel service were really handy! Plus, there were plenty of souvenir shops, a gelato place, and cafes, which made our stay even more enjoyable.

I booked an Oceanfront view room on a high floor. We arrived at the hotel around noon, and an Asian gentleman at the front desk assigned us room 59 on the 30th floor+ right away, without making us wait until 3 PM. He gave us the key cards directly so we could go upstairs. The location is truly impeccable, with an unbeatable ocean view overlooking the entire Waikiki Beach. The room itself is very spacious, with two queen-sized beds. Feeling a bit tired after the flight, I lay down and slept for a while. The mattress was very comfortable, just the right firmness for me. The soundproofing in the hotel is also excellent; there was no noise at night, only the sound of the ocean waves. The ground floor of the hotel is a commercial complex with an ABC store, restaurants, and cafes. Waikiki Beach is just across the street, and it's also within walking distance to the Royal Hawaiian Center shopping area and bus stops. If you don't mind slightly older facilities and a mediocre breakfast, you should definitely consider this hotel.

The location is fantastic, and the sea view from the balcony is absolutely stunning! There were so many people at the hotel, though, waiting for the elevator took ages. It was convenient to have water dispensers available for refills. At night, you could hear music and motorbikes, which was a bit noisy. Overall, I was very satisfied.

The facilities might be showing their age a bit, and there's almost no lobby as the front desk is on the second floor. However, the location is very convenient.
