Seashells Phu Quoc Hotel & Spa

Arrived at the hotel in the evening, check-in was swift. We booked a room that included a free 40-minute spa session daily. We stayed in a sea view executive suite, which was spacious, and the sea view was absolutely stunning (though unfortunately, it rained almost every day of our 5-night stay, so we missed out on the sunset views). The cleanliness was great; the room was cleaned daily. For transportation, it's about a 40-minute drive to the southern sunset town and a 30-minute drive to the northern Pearl Land or Great World. The night market is just a 5-minute walk away, and there are plenty of restaurants nearby, which was very convenient. The beach, however, had very strong waves and was rocky with sea urchins, making it unsuitable for swimming. But the hotel's sea view infinity pool more than made up for it. The staff provided excellent service, and the breakfast offered a good variety and tasted delicious. One minor point: the bathtub area in the bathroom only had a curtain for privacy, which might be a bit inconvenient if sharing a room with friends. Overall, it was a very satisfying stay for a holiday.

We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights, and I was a bit apprehensive beforehand because I'd read some negative reviews. However, our actual experience there was absolutely fantastic! 👏 The hotel front desk staff spoke fluent English, allowing for seamless communication. They were warm, attentive, and clearly explained all chargeable services and confirmations. We even received welcome drinks. Personally, I found no evidence of discrimination against Chinese guests. Our concierge also proactively helped us with our luggage. When our child got the bathroom wet from playing in the water, staff immediately came to clean it after we informed them. Every morning when we went to the lobby to call a taxi, staff would proactively approach us to offer assistance with booking a car or tickets, which was very convenient. Generally, drivers would handle our round-trip transfers, with an additional charge for extra stops, which could be discussed directly with the driver. I found this to be very reassuring. The restaurant opens up to an infinity pool that merges with the ocean, offering incredibly beautiful and therapeutic scenery. The beach is a bit small, but it was still perfectly adequate for kids to play. The buffet breakfast offered a rich variety of clean and tasty options. The hotel also has a sauna and a gym, but we didn't get a chance to use them. 🤣 Its location is in the central part of Phu Quoc Island, so most places are about a 30-minute drive away. The hotel also provides airport transfer services, which can be booked in advance. For departure transfers, you can arrange it with the front desk during check-in. The front desk even sends a letter to your room the day before to confirm the pick-up time for your departure, which is very thoughtful. Near the hotel, there's Duong Dong Night Market, which has many food stalls and massage shops. We were a bit hesitant to try the street food, so we just walked around. The massages were very comfortable, costing around 100 per person. There are also many other restaurants in the vicinity, offering plenty of choices! Finally, I give this hotel a 5-star rating. Our family had a wonderful time, and this hotel is definitely worth recommending! 👍👍👍

This hotel is super convenient for the airport, with a free shuttle service. My flight was delayed due to rain, but the driver still waited for me for over 3 hours at the airport. The room was clean, and breakfast was decent. If I ever come back, I'd definitely choose this hotel again.

This hotel is really great! Both the environment and the room types are excellent. The best part is that it's super close to the night market, making it really convenient to walk there. Plus, they offer free airport transfers. For this price, it's definitely worth it. Highly recommend! 👍

While I was satisfied with the location and cleanliness of the accommodation, what disappointed me most was the staff's cold attitude. As soon as I stepped out of the elevator lobby, three staff members watched my mother slip and fall in the hallway. Thankfully, she was fine, so I let it go. Then, the bellhop took me to a smaller room. I asked him if the door in that room connected to a larger room, and he said no. I also noticed that I couldn't pass through to the other side from the balcony. So, I stated that this wasn't the room type I booked and that I wanted to complain! I paid over HKD 2000 a night, and I wouldn't accept this! It was only then that he tried pushing the door and realized it did connect to the other room. After we settled in, I called the lobby to complain, but no one answered. After some time, my husband saw a manager on our floor and asked her to quickly clean up a water puddle on the ground. The manager didn't understand English, so I used Deepseak to translate into Vietnamese to communicate with her. I told her about my mother's fall. She asked if my mom was okay and apologized. Then, I asked her if they could provide a complimentary cake for my husband's birthday. She said that since his birthday was on our check-out day, they couldn't. I said it was fine, I'd pay for it. The manager then told me to go to the restaurant and pick one myself! This series of unhelpful actions immediately led me to complain to Trip.com! The hotel responded by saying it was due to a language barrier, and the manager thought my mother had fallen outside the hotel. This made me even angrier! I wasn't using Google Translate! I reported it to the platform, and they were clearly trying to make excuses. The platform contacted them again, and in their second reply, the hotel said the manager was on her way and hadn't yet understood what the other staff members had witnessed. Shouldn't three staff members report an incident when it happens? Regarding the birthday cake, the manager said the complimentary cake was too small and wouldn't be enough for 3 adults and 1 child, and that she told me to go to the restaurant because she didn't have a menu! What kind of service is she providing to guests then? What kind of five-star hotel is this?
