Famiana Resort & Spa

I was personally very satisfied with my stay. It's quiet and perfect for a hotel vacation. My rating is objective, keeping in mind that it's a 4-star hotel, so I'm not expecting 5-star luxury. The price is reasonable, and while the location is a 15-20 minute walk from the main King Kong Mart, it's hot, so taking a taxi is recommended. It cost around 1,300 won. There are also massage places and restaurants nearby. Best of all, you can have the swimming pool all to yourself! It's right in front of the beach, making it great for photos. What truly stands out is that breakfast is served until 1 PM, so you don't have to wake up early. The breakfast isn't amazing, but it's not bad either. Airport pick-up and drop-off are also available if you arrange it beforehand. I would definitely consider returning.

A very comfortable resort! The welcome drink was super delicious! The front desk staff were also very friendly. As soon as I entered and saw the sea view from the small path, I knew I had made the right choice! There were quite a few breakfast options, with some items changing daily, and it was served until noon, which was great for those who wanted to sleep in. The room facilities were a bit old but still acceptable. This time, the air conditioner leaked, and when I reported it to the front desk, someone was sent to fix it quickly. Be sure to bring a filtered shower head; the filter turned yellow on the very first day of use.

I was looking at several recommended hotels, and even the best ones always have some negative reviews. In the end, I chose Famiana. I was staying for five days and didn't want to switch hotels, so I stayed at Famiana for the entire duration. The hotel itself is truly beautiful; you can take stunning photos anywhere. Every morning, staff members are meticulously tending to the flowers and plants, which are incredibly well-maintained. The front desk staff who checked me in were also very friendly. Even if your English isn't great, they have translation assistance available. Everyone was incredibly kind. The hotel also offers breakfast with a rotating menu every day, which shows great attention to detail. The freshly made Vietnamese-style noodles are delicious and also change daily. The welcome drink during check-in was also very tasty, and there's a free daily mini-bar in the room with snacks and drinks. I even encountered a cute little cat, I'm not sure if it belonged to the hotel. I saw it for the first three days, bought some cat food for it, but didn't see it for the last two days 🥺. Anyway, I absolutely love this hotel! It even has its own beach. You can bring durian to eat on the beach, enjoying it with the sea breeze and watching the sunset – it truly feels like a vacation. There are also many spas nearby; we went to one every day, it was fantastic. Time flew by so fast. I'll miss you, Famiana Hotel.

When I was booking a hotel, I was debating between Pullman and Hilton, but ultimately, this hotel's location, sea view, and price won me over. I booked five nights. The hotel is very close to the airport, about a 10-15 minute drive. Using Grab, it's about a 30-40 minute ride to both Vinpearl Safari and Sunset Town (north and south). The breakfast quality is good. While the selection isn't huge, there are always some new items daily, and it's served from 6:30 AM to 1:00 PM. We had dinner at the hotel four times. I recommend the pasta and burgers; other dishes were just average. They also have a happy hour from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, with buy-one-get-one-free cocktails. The beachfront bar has a beautiful setting, and the restaurant staff are very attentive. Although the room is a bit dated, it has both USB-A and USB-C charging ports, and a Xiaomi Google TV. The minibar snacks and two cans of soda are complimentary daily. Room cleaning was okay, but since we stayed for five consecutive nights, the room service only did basic cleaning (e.g., hair on the floor wasn't always removed). One morning, we overslept, and at 8:30 AM, someone actually knocked on the door asking if they could clean the room. The sea view room is definitely worth recommending. Listening to the waves and looking out at the ocean is incredibly relaxing. The hotel pool is also excellent, with one side for children (0.6m deep) and the other for adults (2.2m deep). Both the pool and the hotel restaurant face the sea, creating a very comfortable ambiance. The beds were comfortable, but I was woken up several times over a few nights and mornings by the calls of geckos. We also booked an hour of pickleball, which required going to the Green Villa side. They arranged a car for us, and it's just across the road, very close. We also tried the hotel's spa/massage. The therapists were skilled, but the overall scheduling and flow of the process were just average. Overall, this hotel feels unpretentious and comfortable. The front desk staff are friendly, and some speak Mandarin. There aren't too many guests, and the views are attractive. I would recommend it.

The hotel has its own private beach with stunning sunsets. The staff are incredibly warm and friendly, and the breakfast, though a bit limited in variety, is good. Our room was on the ground floor and well-equipped, including a mini-bar. There are plenty of street food stalls nearby, and a short taxi ride will get you to the King Kong supermarket. Definitely recommend!
