Manhattan Hotel Jakarta

Pros: This hotel's location is very good and has a few shopping malls nearby. Hotel has great service and staff are very polite and friendly. Originally booked a triple room with a queen and single bed 3 months before check-in, but when checking-in hotel staff informed that there were no more triple rooms available (if reserved in advance why was no room saved?) We were then given a free upgrade to an executive room but there was only 1 king bed, not big enough for 3 adults to sleep on. When we asked for an additional bed, the mattress and bed frame of the additional bed was torn and deeply stained. The executive room toilet sink also had issues as the water was orange in colour when first opening the faucet. After complaining about the bed and sink, the hotel staff said there was a triple room suddenly available for us and offered to show us the room. However after seeing the triple room we realised the cleanliness of the room was still really sub-par. 1. Hotel rooms here seem to be not cleaned thoroughly as floors were quite dirty, the pillows still had very obvious yellowing stains, the carpet had a weird odour and the bath had quite a few stains too 2. The mirror has a lot of gray marks 3. Some things in the hotel did not work properly like the telephone not being able to make any calls and the TV which kept glitching 4. The cupboard for hanging clothes had a lot of mould/dust growing on the back of the door which could have been easily wiped off if the housekeeping staff made the effort to... Finally after feedback, the hotel staff came to replace the pillows, fix the telephone, and gave us an air purifier. However after "deep-cleaning" the cupboard was still not cleaned. I was really unpleasantly surprised by the uncleanliness of the room given the great reviews online and the high rating. I believe that for a 5 star hotel, cleanliness of a hotel room should be a non-negotiable, and rooms should not need multiple rounds of extra housekeeping just for patrons to sleep with peace of mind. I hope this hotel undergoes a renovation soon to revamp the old and dilapidated furniture and fixes the way they conduct housekeeping so that rooms can be up to standard.

Manhattan Hotel have a very good service by sending me till the room and the breakfast also serve halal food for muslim people like me. They give me early check in and notify me thru whatsap

Good hotel, has everything a traveller needs. Though no luxury amenities, it has good breakfast and efficient lobby. Also unblocked view from (highfloor) rooms
