Probably the southernmost shrine in Honshu
Original Text
If you follow the approach that extends from the entrance of Shiomisaki Lighthouse, you will soon see a small shrine. This is probably the southernmost shrine in Honshu. If you walk a little more according to the guide board, you will go to the open place called 'Karasuyamami.'
It is like a shrine that has been worshiped since ancient times as the general god of the 18-ura fishing village from Kushimoto to Susami, and is located next to the Shiomisaki Lighthouse. If you visit with a place where you can overlook the sea called Kujiyamami, you can feel how deeply this place has been involved with the sea.
There is an approach to the lighthouse at the southernmost tip of Honshu, beside the Shiomisaki Lighthouse. At the entrance of the approach, there is also a monument of the Heian period, which gives you a feeling of old history. From the top of Shiomisaki Lighthouse, you can see the hall of worship and the main hall in the thick tree 々.
Go right at the entrance of the lighthouse and you have a down road, and you're ahead.

Turn right at the entrance of Shiomisaki Lighthouse and you will find a road down, and beyond that you will find a shrine. Is there a main shrine surrounded by stone walls at first? As you proceed while thinking, a magnificent main shrine suddenly appears. Is the stone wall a wind shelter such as a typhoon? There is a parking lot in the foreground and it is a place where there is nothing in the private sector, but it is a little expensive for a fee, but it is unavoidable if you climb the lighthouse and go to the shrine. (there was no other place to park)
When I went along the side road of Shiomisaki Lighthouse, I found Shiomisaki Shrine. I think many people visit it as a set with Shiomisaki Lighthouse. There were few people on the way to the shrine, so I was a little worried. If you go further back from the shrine, you will see Kujirayama, and you can see the lighthouse from there, so I think it's a good idea to visit here as well.
