St. Patrick's Day

BALL & CRAWL SPECIAL! West Town Social Club has an exciting St. Patrick's Day Late Afternoon/Evening Crawl lined up after the St. Patrick's Day Volleyball Tournament and post-tournament party end! A limited number of BALL & CRAWL packages are being offered on the registration page here that will get you both a spot in this tournament and admission to crawl afterwards. Get yours before they're gone! More details on the crawl can be found here Looking to play some volleyball, but can't gather enough people to play? Want to play a sport with fun people, but don't want to commit to playing a whole season? Looking to get active without the competitiveness that often comes with joining leagues? Enjoy playing in a co-ed environment? We've got you covered! West Town Social Club's St. Patrick's Weekend Indoor Volleyball Tournament is a tournament created specifically with individual players in mind--no need to pay for a whole team and beg your hesitant friends to join! All players in this tournament are registered as individuals, and will be assigned to one of three (3) teams based on self-ratings--we do our best to make sure all teams are evenly talented. Whether you are a beginner or an expert volleyballer, this event is all about allowing everyone to play in a non-competitive, fun environment. Why? Because at West Town Social Club, we're all about having a good time! This event will be co-ed, so that everyone has a chance to play. RULES/FORMAT Most standard recreational volleyball rules will apply. West Town Social Club's ruleset can be found here. Team assignments and the tournament schedule will be sent in detail via email prior to the event. All matchups will be best of three. Each team will have two matchups--one with each of the other teams. The team with the best overall record through six games will be the winner--any tiebreakers will be determined by head-to-head results. AFTER PARTY We have a great after party lined up after the tournament at a sponsor bar TBA! TEAMMATE REQUESTS/FULL TEAM SIGNUPS Anyone who registers a friend (or significant other) alongside them will get placed on a team together! Requests for additional teammates will be considered on a case-by-case basis up until one week prior to the tournament, and are not guaranteed to be honored. Please remember that this is meant to be a fun tournament where the emphasis is on being social/meeting new people rather than being competitive! Additionally, with this being a social event, full team signups are not available. While we hope to make this an absolutely fun and memorable tournament, there are a handful of important, not-so-fun things to note. Please see below: AGE REQUIREMENT: All participants must be at least 21 years old to participate. Proof of age may be requested by the organizer on the day of the event; please bring identification in case. Those who register and cannot show proof of age will be denied participation in the tournament and will NOT be refunded. ALCOHOL: The Chicago Park District strictly prohibits ANY alcohol consumption in city parks/fieldhouses. If you are caught consuming alcohol during participation during this event, you will be asked to properly dispose of your beverage. Any further alcohol consumption witnessed during the event will result in being asked to leave and could potentially result in being banned from future West Town Social Club events. Please do not ruin the chances of us having another tournament by consuming alcohol in the gymnasium/on park property; there are plenty of great establishments nearby to pregame (that being said, please don't show up heavily intoxicated--you may be asked to sit out until you sober up or to go home if there's serious concern for your well-being) and we have a great establishment lined up for an after party! See REFUND POLICY: No refunds will be issued except in the event of a non-weather related cancellation. Credit towards future events may be issued on a case-by-case basis up to 2 weeks prior to the tournament. WAIVER: All participants will be asked to sign a digital waiver prior to arrival, agreeing that West Town Social Club will not be held liable for any injuries and/or illness associated with participating in the volleyball tournament. Failure to sign this waiver will result in participation being denied with no refund being issued. Registration closes 24 hours prior to the event. Reserve your spot today!
