Key of She Dream Choir:Facilitated by Lou Barnell This workshop will explore using our voices, bodies, and materials as ways to listen more deeply and create improvised music. Artist and Facilitator Lou Barnell invites us to explore ‘Live Dreaming' This approach uses the similarities between dreaming and music-making, to relax, connect and create music together. What to expect: The session will involve using the voice and body and experimenting with materials to create a ‘Dream Choir’ together in the beautiful Samuel Worth Chapel. The workshop is 2.5 hours long, and will include individual, paired and group activities. All the explorations are invitations. You can participate as much or as little as you like. The aim is to relax, meet folk and be inspired. More about Lou Barnell’s work ishere Who can attend? It is open to all women and expansive genders regardless of whether you have any music making or movement experience. What to bring? An object, or material that represents a significant dream that you have had. Warm clothes! Drinking water is available at the venue. You may wish to bring a warm drink. Something to sit or lie on (we will provide chairs, but there is an option to sit/ lie on the floor) Access The chapel is accessible for Wheelchair users, with a ramp and parking for people with mobility issues. Other parking is available on cemetery road, there is a five minute walk through wooded paths to reach the venue. There will be people to guide you, it is recommended to bring shoes suitable for paths with stones/puddles and a torch. The venue has chairs to sit on. There are two level access toilets.
