Experience the thrill of scooter coaching at the Kwinana skatepark in December 2023. Thanks to the City of Kwinana, Freestyle Now is offering FREE coaching sessions for scooter enthusiasts. This exciting event will take place at The Edge Skate Park in Kwinana Town Centre. The coaching sessions will be divided into two sessions, with the first one starting at 3pm and the second one at 4pm. This event is open to participants aged 12 and above. Skilled members of the Freestyle Now squad will be available to provide technical advice, trick tips, skill development, and guidance on skatepark etiquette. Each coaching workshop session lasts for 50 minutes, during which our experienced facilitators will analyze participants' skill levels and assist in building confidence. We believe that skills can be taught, but confidence is crucial. By leveraging their existing skill base as a stepping stone, we can help participants progress and advance. Safety is our top priority, and our instructors are fluent in the language of our participants. They emphasize the importance of wearing helmets and closed-toe shoes to minimize injuries. Participants will be divided into groups based on their skill levels and learning requirements. Please note that the coaching sessions are not suitable for 3-wheeled scooters. Participants must bring their own equipment and ensure they have a helmet. For those under the age of 12, parents must remain on-site throughout the session. It is also recommended to arrive 15 minutes early to register attendance and sign a disclaimer form. Freestyle Now coaching workshops are known for being fun, informative, and motivational. Our instructors encourage progression and allow participants to ride at their own level. Besides teaching various skills, our workshops also cover equipment maintenance and personal safety issues. These FREE workshops are open to participants aged 6 and above. Helmets and skates are required, and a safe environment will be provided by Freestyle Now. The sessions are informal, allowing participants to join and leave as they wish. Skilled squad members will offer technical guidance, tips, and assistance with skill development and park etiquette. Emphasis is placed on building both skills and confidence, using participants' existing abilities as a foundation for progress. Safety is paramount, with helmets and closed-toe shoes mandatory. Parents must remain on-site for children under 12. Participants must bring water, wear sunscreen, and complete a form on the day.
