These FREE accessible yoga classes are great for beginners and those with an established yoga practice. Pre-registration is required due to limited space availability. This space centers those impacted by patriarchy, sexism, and misogyny who are Black, Indigenous, or racialized women, femmes, and non-binary. We ask that if you cannot attend a session you let us know as soon as you can so those on the waitlist can be given a space. Please note that doors are locked after the class start time and due to limitations we are unable to let anyone in late to class. About Red Ma'at The Red Ma’at (pronounced ‘Muh-aht’) Collective is a not-for-profit organization based on the foundation of black, indigenous women and gender-expansive folks of colour empowerment serving the Greater Toronto Region. Together as a community, we will build a safe and nourishing environment to work together towards healing and inner peace. The Red Ma’at Collective offers various community classes/workshops, private yoga classes, therapeutic sessions, and educational anti-oppression workshops and writings that aim to instil compassion through love as we heal together. Experience an exceptionally good community campout at Camp Crackerjack 2023! This event is perfect for families seeking a fun-filled adventure. Taking place at the Cracker Jack Flats Community Center in Fort Irwin, California, the campout will be held from October 7th to October 8th, 2023.
During the campout, families will have the opportunity to set up their tents and enjoy a delicious potluck dinner. Each family is asked to bring one potluck dish or dessert, ensuring a variety of tasty treats for everyone to enjoy. BBQ grills will be available for use if needed. It's important to note that each potluck item should be able to serve 18-36 people, so be sure to bring enough to share.
In addition to the scrumptious food, there will be plenty of entertainment options for campers. Families are encouraged to bring games, lawn toys, or any other activities they enjoy. Don't forget to decorate your campsite to add a touch of personal flair – there will be prizes awarded to the top three campsites!
The schedule for the campout includes a twilight dance party, a pancake breakfast, and quiet hours to ensure a peaceful night's rest for all attendees. The Villages will also provide hotdogs, sausages, buns, cutlery, cups, ice, plates, and napkins. If you have any dietary restrictions or allergies, please bring a recipe card to inform others about your needs.
As a special thank you, each family donating a potluck dinner or dessert item will receive a gift. So mark your calendars and make sure to register for Camp Crackerjack 2023. This is an event you won't want to miss!
