RISD’s Apparel Design department presents its annual runway show! Collection 2026 Wednesday, May 27th at 4:00pm The WaterFire Arts Center 475 Valley St. Providence, RI 02908 $30* for 4:00 pm show Tickets are only available for purchase via EventBrite, no tickets will be sold at the door. There will be no cash or other currency accepted at the door for tickets. Doors will open at 3:15pm. Seating for this show is General Admission, seat yourself. Please plan to arrive at least 30 minutes early as each show starts promptly. Late arrivals will be admitted and seated at the discretion of producers. Named best event in Rhode Island by RI Monthly! This Month's Theme: All The Way We’ve come All The Way. This May marks our 200th PechaKucha Night—and we’re celebrating with a special retrospective, bringing back voices from across the past 17 years. As Providence becomes the longest-running PechaKucha city in the world, we’re looking back on the stories, people, and moments that brought us here. Doors open at 7:20pm and presentations kick off at 8:20pm. PechaKucha Providence is built and sustained by our community. Thank you to our venues, vendors, and volunteers make this magic happen each month. Thank you to the Providence Tourism Council for supporting us in spreading the word about what we do. What is PechaKucha? If you haven't heard of this global yet unpronounceable phenomenon, PechaKucha is a monthly format for sharing ideas in which presenters are allotted 20 slides and 20 seconds per slide. Simply put: it's 6 minutes and 40 seconds of show and tell for grown-ups. It began in Tokyo in 2003, has since spread to over 1,200 cities worldwide, and first landed in Providence in March of 2009. Gender diverse people, their loved ones, and allies are invited to this day-long gathering to learn, explore, and shape new perspectives. This space is intentionally designed by the community, for the community . We are excited to welcome everyone on Saturday, May 30, 2026 at Rhode Island College! All sessions in the Community Track are provided free of charge .
