Explore the reserve with our butterfly enthusiast in search of the swallowtail butterfly, one of the UK's rarest and largest butterfly species and only found in the Norfolk Broads. Walking distance could be up to 3km and over some uneven ground. Sturdy footwear is recommended. Please see separate listing for Swallowtail Day guided boat tails. Dragonflies and damselflies are fascinating. They can be found in freshwater and living on land. We'll start the session dyke dipping, looking in the water where they start their life before looking on land for them in flight. Each family group must have at least one adult attending. Join us on a magical boat trip on Hickling Broad. It is a perfect opportunity to explore the tranquility of the reserve as the sun begins to set on this beautiful landscape. Please bring binoculars if you have them. The duration of the boat trip will be approximately 2 hours followed by a delicious dinner and drink at the Pleasure Boat pub. The dinner will be from a set menu as part of this order and will also include 1 drink. Please ensure you arrive before 5.30pm to meet your guide at the NWT cabin adjacent to the pub. Important Health and Safety Information - please read prior to booking We strongly recommend wearing stout and waterproof footwear and warm, waterproof clothing. To allow for maximum all-round observation the boat is an open craft and during the trip we will be entering some relatively exposed areas.
