Un viaggio dal passato al presente che ci condurrà a comprendere come l’idea di robot e automazione non appartenga al presente, ma deriva dal passato dove uomini di cultura, scienziati e artisti hanno cercato di sfidare i limiti naturali e umani. Nell'incontro sarà fatta una panoramica di queste scoperte e dei motivi che hanno spinto l’uomo a creare macchine dotate di propria autonomia, andando poi a convergere sul rapporto che gli artisti hanno intrattenuto con l'automazione nell'arte moderna e contemporanea. Ale Guzzetti (Tradate, 1953), vive e lavora tra Saronno e Milano, è tra i primi artisti italiani dediti all’arte tecnologica e interattiva, lavora dal 1983 ai circuiti elettronici di sculture sonore interattive poi si orienta verso la robotica. Le sue ricerche sono state sviluppate in diverse istituzioni internazionali tra cui il Politecnico di Milano, il Centro di Sonologia Computazionale dell’Università di Padova e la School of Computing, Communications and Electronics dell’Università di Plymouth. PoEM si occupa di Arte, Pedagogia e Cura.
