Family friendly event for children aged 4-11 years old and their carers is led by artists Jyls Friggens & John Quinn. The session opens with a short re-telling of a favourite fairytale using shadow puppets on a shadow screen. Participants are invited to design & make their own fairytale characters using card & create their story. You will have the opportunity to rehearsal your story on a shadow screen before sharing your performance with the group. All materials provided and puppets can be taken home at the end of the session. The workshop is inspired by The Royal Opera's Family Folk Opera Wolf, Witch, Giant, Fairy which will be screened at Maltings Berwick and other venues around Northumberland during October Half term.
