Fresh from its recent return home to theNatural History Museum, Dippy the Diplodocus(DIP-low-DOCK-us) is stomping into Coventry this February half-term, set to remain as dino-in-residence at the Herbert Art Gallery & Museum for three years!

Presented in collaboration with Warwickshire Museum, this free fossil display will take you back in time to the Jurassic era, a time when much of the region was underwater. A selection of fossils drawn from both the Herbert Art Gallery & Museum and Warwickshire Museum collections offer a fascinating insight into the strange sea creatures that swam through Coventry and Warwickshire between 200 and 145 million years ago. The display includes our star fossil - an ichthyosaur skull found in Harbury.

Coventry Biennial 2025 will facilitate a collective exploration of the roles and functions of collecting within the art, museum, heritage and knowledge production sectors, the wider community and the artists’ studio.

The Christmas tree decorations of the fairies have been hidden! It seems the mischievous goblins are up to their old tricks again. You can decorate your own willow Christmas star and then aid the fairies by searching for their missing decorations. If we manage to find them, the fairies might allow us to decorate their Christmas tree in Fairy Forest and roast some marshmallows over the Fairy Fire! Tickets are required for children attending only, all children must be accompanied by an adult. This activity is suitable for children aged 3 years +, although those under 5 will need additional help doing the activity. Where do we meet? The Rangers will meet you under the canopy by the Visitor Centre. What is the age requirement for the event? · The events are aimed at 3 – 12-year-olds, unless specified in the description. Children under 5 will need more supervision when undertaking some of the activities. · All children at an event must be accompanied by an adult or over 18. · Ratios: We require the following adult-to-child ratio, 1 adult to 3 children, although those under 5 will need more supervision on some activities. · Tickets are required for the children taking part in the activity only. Can I bring younger siblings to a children's event? Younger siblings i.e., toddlers/babies are welcome at all the events, however, please be mindful of the supervision of all children in your group and our ratios. Tickets are required for children undertaking activities only. How long is the event? Most events last for 1 ½ hours, unless otherwise stated. If it is a craft activity, it will last as long as it takes you to complete the task to a maximum of the given event time. Can I bring my dog? We do not allow dogs at our events Do I have to pay for parking? Car parking is payable at the machine by card or phone. Do I need to book? Yes, booking is essential. Full payment will be taken by Eventbrite when you book. Please note there is a booking fee. Will I get my money back if I cancel? It depends on how long before the event that you cancel. Please see the refund terms and conditions. What should I wear? Activities involve going outside, please make sure you’re suitably dressed for all weathers (mosquitos and horseflies will be about in the summer). Remember to bring sun cream, hats and insect repellent. What happens if there is a weather warnin g? We may have to alter your outside activity if there is a weather warning in place, but we will do our utmost to carry on with mitigations in place or provide an indoor activity (if possible). If we cancel your event due to extreme weather, we will offer you an alternative date for the event or provide you with a refund. Can I bring snacks and drinks? Yes, you can bring your own snacks and drink, however we don’t advise eating during the events as some activities require hand washing on return after the activity. On Saturday 18th July 2026 we will be celebrating 28 years of Nexus ICA, and thanking God for all He has done through the work of the institute. Whilst our season may be coming to an end, the legacy of what God has done in the hearts and lives of so many will last into eternity. So, we invite you to join us for the Final Celebration; a special evening of music, worship, stories and testimonies as we remember just some of many the highlights from the journey. The evening will include surprise special guests, live performances, footage from the Nexus archives, a classic Nexus quiz, and much more! Due to high demand this celebration will be a dual venue event, running simultaneously at Astoria House and Elim Pentecostal. Elim is not an ‘overflow’ venue, there will be live performances and live hosts at both venues, and the ability to interact with the other site. Tickets are live now and are available on a first come first served basis, so get in there quick! A live stream ticket is also available for those who can’t make it to Coventry. In addition, Astoria House will be open from 1:00pm - 3:00pm on the afternoon of the 18th.
