The place is nice but I would not stay there in the winter. It is extremely, extremely cold. We had loadshedding from 17:00 - 21:00. While there is loadshedding, there is no hot water. We were freezing and couldn't stand the thought of another night, so we went somewhere else with a proper fireplace, not just a built-in braai. I am sure it is lovely and cool in Summer but I would not recommend it during winter 🥶☹SOLD OUT

We spent 3 nights at Blue Crane Farm and booked the lovely Kingfisher chalet. It has 2 comfortable en suite bedrooms, pristine white linen and comfortable mattresses. Panel heaters and excellent fireplace ensured that we were nice and cosy in the Dullstroom winters. The kitchen was well equipped and we loved the finer touches e.g. hooks for jackets/coats and stands for fishing rods. All the staff and management (Salumé, Alex, David and Lazarus) were extremely helpful and efficient with bookings and when we encountered an electrical problem. Fishing was great, dams were literally 10 meters away from Kingfisher, and we caught quite a few large trout. Kids had a blast on the farm, rowing, cycling, running. Chalets far enough from each other to ensure privacy. We will definitely pay Blue Crane another visit soon! Thank you for a memorable weekend away!.FromKRW 49,635

Fishing was great, dams were literally 10 meters away from Kingfisher, and we caught quite a few large trout. Kids had a blast on the farm, rowing, cycling, running. We spent 3 nights at Blue Crane Farm and booked the lovely Kingfisher chalet. It has 2 comfortable en suite bedrooms, pristine white linen and comfortable mattresses. Panel heaters and excellent fireplace ensured that we were nice and cosy in the Dullstroom winters. The kitchen was well equipped and we loved the finer touches e.g. hooks for jackets/coats and stands for fishing rods. All the staff and management (Salumé, Alex, David and Lazarus) were extremely helpful and efficient with bookings and when we encountered an electrical problem. Fishing was great, dams were literally 10 meters away from Kingfisher, and we caught quite a few large trout. Kids had a blast on the farm, rowing, cycling, running. Chalets far enough from each other to ensure privacy. We will definitely pay Blue Crane another visit soon! Thank you for a memorable weekend away!.FromKRW 49,635
