This could be an amazing hotel but it is run down, needs better maintenance and service is non existent. Arrived 30min early asked if room was ready, they wanted to charge money, when said no will just go for a walk can you store luggage, no they wouldn't (most hotels do this). Room was a great lay out, but holes in the wall, black mould in corners of shower, no info on how to work TV. Air con was great. Location is fabulous. Swimming pool was full of leaves and kids pool completely green. Front desk never seemed to have anyone there. A few areas of improvement and this would we a lovely but at the moment not a great place to stay.

Perfect location. Close to everything. The high floor stay on 38 has an amazing view. Very spacious two bedroom unit with separate kitchen, bathroom and living room. Plenty of space for 4 people. The view from the balcony is amazing. The view from the lounge on Level 55 is amazing. High speed lifts, the annoying part is some of them are always under maintenance. For a 4 night stay, at least 3 toilet rolls for the family would be lovely. We will definitely stay there again. Highly recommended.

This felt more like an apartment-hotel. It came with a microwave, fridge, full set of dishes, and even dish soap and a sponge. The sofa bed was made up before we checked in, which was a huge plus – it saved us the hassle of communicating with the front desk staff in a foreign country. Bottled water isn't provided, but there's a kettle. We didn't interact with the staff at all, apart from checking in and out. The hotel is at least a 5-minute walk from the beach. Breakfast wasn't included in the room rate, so we ate every day at a great restaurant not far downstairs. The hotel has a pool, which looked decent, but we didn't get a chance to try it.

The key was self-service; we searched for ages before finally finding a courier shop to pick it up with a password. There was no front desk, so we had to make two trips to get the key. Those who are particular about sleep should think twice, especially since the bedrooms are extremely small.

Every time I visit the Gold Coast, I stay at the Marriott, and the breakfast is always great. However, the caps on the shampoo and other toiletries can be easily opened, which raises some safety concerns. After 6 PM, there are no staff or services at the pool, and it's not lit. For children with UV allergies who wish to swim in the evening, it's not possible. December is summer in Australia, so it gets dark late. I hope the hotel considers extending the pool's closing time, especially since guests are here for a holiday. Thank you.

The apartment hotel does not provide much service. The picture shows that there is a kitchen for children. The outdoor swimming pool and the small play ground for children are not bad. You can use the poolside BBQ, but you have to use it to clean the stove plate or something. Think about giving up. . The biggest highlight is that you can take the elevator from the pool side to the supermarket downstairs and some small shops and restaurants. There is nothing to buy in the shops downstairs. If you do n’t cook, the Papa restaurant downstairs in Malaysia is suitable for kids to eat fried rice and pho. You can walk to the beach from there and walk for about 20 minutes. The location is good for this price. Anyway, nothing luxurious, but practical and clean, suitable for family travel.

Good location with tram stop at doorstep. Sara at the reception was great, offered us early check in and late check out and upgraded us to 23rd floor. Room was very spacious, a bit dated but very well maintained. Amazing sea & skyline from the balcony, might feel a bit daunting as very narrow. Room has a coffee machine. Bathroom is spacious but shower door was very mouldy. The revolving restaurant on 26th floor had 270 degree view of the surroundings. Staff was very friendly and allowed us to take photos although we didnt eat there. Pool and deck on the ground floor is good with a heated jacuzzi. The lifts are on the outside with views of the hinterland. There is a restaurant in the lobby. Although a bit pricey, would definitely stay again.

This hotel probably had a glorious past, but now it feels like it's faded, except for its private beach. The shopping mall across the street is practically deserted, with many stores closed. It's located a bit far in, closer to Sea World. There isn't even free bottled water in the room; you have to buy their eco-friendly cup to get water from the hallway. We were given a room in an annex, far from the main area, with an incredibly long corridor that seemed endless. It took at least 10 minutes to walk from our room to the lobby every day. The room's facilities looked very old, and the shower faucet in the bathroom was rusted. There was only a bathtub, no separate shower space. The room we got also had a connecting inner door. The most ridiculous thing was when we returned one afternoon and ran into a cleaning staff member, a man who looked South American. He seemed very unhappy to see us and didn't greet us at all. When he turned on the vacuum cleaner, he rudely vacuumed aggressively towards my feet. All the hotel staff seemed aloof; they wouldn't even greet you when you encountered them. Only the staff in the breakfast restaurant were okay, but breakfast was mostly Western-style with limited options. I don't feel it was worth the price.

Opening the floor-to-ceiling windows revealed a huge balcony, perfect for enjoying the sea breeze while overlooking the city. The living room was incredibly spacious, and the giant TV made watching shows super enjoyable. The kitchen was a 'superstar': capsule coffee machine, oven, dishwasher, and a large fridge – it had everything! Making a cup of coffee with the machine every day and stocking the fridge with fresh ingredients to cook really brought that 'at home' comfort – it was so therapeutic! 🛎️ Service & Minor Incidents: Heartwarming experience with perfect attention to detail Upon checking in, we found some unemptied trash in the kitchen. We contacted the front desk, and someone came to handle it immediately – incredibly fast service! We accidentally made a mess on the floor, and the hotel policy was to clean only after a four-night stay. Surprisingly, after a quick chat, they arranged for housekeeping right away – truly thoughtful! Later, we learned that guests are supposed to dispose of kitchen trash in a designated area in the hallway. Honestly, a heads-up beforehand would have been perfectly understandable! A small reminder about this would make the experience even more perfect for future guests, avoiding any misunderstandings. 💯 Summary: The ultimate value-for-money vacation choice The overall experience truly exceeded our expectations! It was so much more comfortable than a regular hotel, completely feeling like 'home'. The location is convenient, with easy access to dining and shopping. Always a good trip to Royal pines , larger crowd this year than previous so buffet Brekky was packed if you didn’t get in early (still ran pretty smoothly tho) Would recommend bringing your own pillow if your a fussy sleeper like myself, their pillows weren’t to my liking but that’s only a preference thing. Food & drinks are pricey but plenty of other options nearby if you don’t want to spend the extra money. No foxtel in rooms so bring an Apple TV if you can. Rooms were clean and spacious, room service is quick and friendly. Gym is amazing if your into that as well and the pool is always a winner 🙌🏽 Staff are amazing ! I had a very disappointing experience with this hotel. I accidentally booked a same-night reservation because I was comparing room types in a new tab and forgot to change the dates. I realised the mistake immediately, submitted a cancellation request, and even called the hotel that evening to let them know I wouldn’t be arriving so they could release the room to other guests. Despite this, I was charged the next day. When I called again, the manager said their policy requires 24 hours’ notice and claimed they “could not use the room for other reservations,” even though I had informed them the night before. I have stayed in many hotels, and this is honestly one of the least flexible experiences I have come across. Very disappointing customer service and not understanding at all.

I specifically booked a twin sea-view room because I didn't want an apartment-style stay. Ctrip indicated floors 3-18, and we ended up on the sixth floor. I wasn't happy with the room; it was too low, the sea view was obstructed, and the lighting was poor. When I asked the front desk to change floors, their responses were inconsistent. First, they said higher floors would cost extra. Then, they mentioned a 20+ floor room with a sea view and twin beds that wouldn't incur an extra charge (but then changed their story when we expressed excitement). Finally, they offered a cooking-friendly room type, which they said still had twin beds and was much larger, for an additional $150/night, totaling $453 for three nights. We decided to go for it, since we'd already come all this way, but we were shocked when we saw the room – it was clearly a king-size bed! Does a sofa count as a bed? After checking out, I realized I'd left my electric toothbrush on the bathroom counter. I contacted the hotel for three to five days, but they kept saying they hadn't found it. Where could it have gone? The hotel's view and cleanliness were good. Anything requested from the front desk was delivered promptly. However, if rooms are available, why does the hotel charge extra for guests who want to change floors when the platform advertises all floors at the same price? And why was the room type different from what the front desk described? It was not twin beds! The front desk training needs to be improved. If higher floors command a higher price, then the platform should not advertise different floors at the same price! This is deceiving customers.

This hotel was conveniently located, making it a great base for sightseeing. Having a supermarket on the first floor and many dining options nearby was incredibly helpful during our stay. The tram station was also close by, making it easy to get around. The room was spacious, more than enough for a couple, which made our stay feel a bit luxurious. The view was good, and having a pool was a nice bonus. While I felt the cost performance was a bit high, there might be a range of prices depending on the room type and floor. On the other hand, the sound of traffic was a minor issue in our 16th-floor room (river-facing). Also, the air conditioning was a bit inconvenient as it could only be used in either the living room or the bedroom, requiring a switch. The washing machine worked fine, but I couldn't figure out how to use the gas stove, so a simple explanation would have been appreciated. It was also a slight disappointment that the indirect lighting (a larger lamp) couldn't be used. The reception staff were courteous, and it was a great help that they stored our luggage. They provided extra towels when requested. Overall, I think this is a highly satisfying hotel for those who prioritize location, room spaciousness, and cost performance.

We booked an ocean-view room, and while the view was indeed beautiful, the room was a bit small. Overall, however, the layout was well-planned, and we were quite satisfied. The hotel service was excellent; we arrived early at the front desk and were given early access to our room. The hotel also sends a WhatsApp message before arrival introducing the facilities and restaurants. On the day of our check-in, Haven restaurant offered half a dozen oysters for $30 plus two glasses of champagne; the oysters were delicious and excellent value. There are free parking spaces in front of the hotel, but they are almost always full, making parking very difficult. Arriving early (11 am to noon) just in time for guests to check out offers a chance to get a spot.

As a four-star hotel, it largely meets the four-star standard. It's a high-traffic hotel, but the service in all aspects is quick, and they also offer personalized service. It's part of The Star group, so the hotel's location is integrated with The Star complex, and the buildings are all interconnected. I noted in advance that we were celebrating my child's birthday, and they prepared a greeting card and a toy bear, which made my child very happy. In the evening, my child had a cough and was a bit sick, throwing up on the bed. Housekeeping quickly brought new bedding without a single complaint or extra cleaning fee, and they were very caring towards my child. The only minor drawback might be the parking. It's a bit roundabout; you have to go to The Star's car park and follow the instructions carefully. However, the hotel sent parking instructions a day or two before check-in, which was very helpful.

Meriton is known for its clean facilities and modern interiors, and this location lived up to that reputation. Both the facilities and the interior felt luxurious. Having the Cyprus tram station right outside was incredibly convenient. My only minor complaints are that it's about a 10-minute walk to the main street and also about 10 minutes to Coles or Woolworths supermarkets. 😭 The small quick mart on the first floor of the hotel is quite expensive. Also, the dishwasher in the room doesn't dry dishes; I had to leave the door open overnight to air-dry them. 😡 The reception staff were friendly. Even for a four-night stay, we only got two large towels, and one of them had a stain, which was unpleasant, but they did provide a new one. The fridge kept things very cold, and the air conditioning felt clean! There were plenty of cooking utensils, so we cooked all our meals for four days! However, please replace the frying pan with the peeling non-stick coating. 😭 There are four elevators, and they're super fast, reaching the 20th floor in just 10 seconds! I would 100% stay here again! 🫶

Party goers, police sirens last till around 4am on a Friday night. Room Large rooms but quite dark. There's only 1 downlight at the entrance , a floorlamp and 2 bedside lights. (See photos) Parking 4hr Street parking is available during the day. Wished they have included disposable slippers

Good location with tram stop at doorstep. Sara at the reception was great, offered us early check in and late check out and upgraded us to 23rd floor. Room was very spacious, a bit dated but very well maintained. Amazing sea & skyline from the balcony, might feel a bit daunting as very narrow. Room has a coffee machine. Bathroom is spacious but shower door was very mouldy. The revolving restaurant on 26th floor had 270 degree view of the surroundings. Staff was very friendly and allowed us to take photos although we didnt eat there. Pool and deck on the ground floor is good with a heated jacuzzi. The lifts are on the outside with views of the hinterland. There is a restaurant in the lobby. Although a bit pricey, would definitely stay again.

The room unit i got was on the top Floor. For a solo traveller, i hope the Floor could have better lighting and make it bright. The unit itself was spacious, 1 room with Queen Bed, comfy, airy, love the window view from the room, over looking the main road. The walk-in bathroom, clean, have all amenities except for those toothbrush, vanity thing. There’s a Bathtub and a seperate shower and toilet. Kitchen complete with whatever you need If you plan to cook. The living and dining, looks big coz there’s wall mirror on both end and couch, can actually stay a family of 4 If you want. The view from the living was over looking the River i think….lovely! If you plan to do the JetBoat thing or Cruise or dinner Cruise, it is just next door to the hotel. Also, i hope the hotel management could also update Its hotel signage. I think the lighting is dull. That’s all.
