This is a very well managed hotel with a good location, close to the pier and a five-minute walk from the Archaeological Museum. The breakfast is very good, the facilities are complete, the price is not expensive, and the cost performance is very high. When I checked in on June 1, there was a gentleman front desk staff who patiently answered many questions about Heraklion tourism for me and helped me print the boat ticket to Santorini. We recently stayed at the Metropole and had a wonderful experience. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making us feel welcome from the moment wr arrived. The room was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. The location was great, close to everything we wanted to see and do. The breakfast buffet was great with plenty of choices. I highly recommend staying here for a comfortable and enjoyable stay while in Greece. There are a maze of options but you will do yourself a favour by staying here.

It is relatively convenient to get to Cullersburg, the bus station and the central square. You can almost reach it by walking 500 meters. Take bus 2 to Knossos Palace. The hotel staff are warm and friendly, and the breakfast is rich and constantly improved according to our needs. The hotel can also help with sightseeing arrangements. Because it is difficult to go to Spinalonga Island in the off-season (it is closed on weekdays), but Mary helped contact the taxi driver, carefully planned the route and plan for us, and continued to discuss it. On the day of our visit, the driver also learned that there were temporary closures on the island. We are a group, so we can be open to us by the way, so that there will be no regrets in the journey!

The apartment is ground floor in a good spot in Heraklion. It is spacious , clean, and convenient with nice kitchen area, spacious pleasant bedroom and compact but nice shower room. The living area is spacious but the furniture is functional rather than luxury, and includes a simple sofa bed and single bed . The owner is attentive . However, although We were offered clean towels during our week stay they never turned up . Disappointing. . There is no where to hang wet towels other than on the furniture.

The hotel is in a good location, close to the commercial street, and it takes more than ten minutes to walk to the bus terminal and the port. However, the service level of the front desk is poor, and the professionalism is insufficient, especially the young lady on duty in the afternoon. We booked three rooms for 7 people. On the first day, each room was only given one door card, and each person was required to have a ticket. After repeated negotiations, she changed the subject and did not respond positively. Another lady at the front desk knew our request and made several door cards for us. We have two family rooms, and the wrong rooms were arranged (different room types). We opened our luggage and packed up and changed rooms again. We stayed for three days, but there were only two bottles of bottled water in the refrigerator (two-person room), and they were not refilled after cleaning. We negotiated with her, saying that it was the hotel policy to only provide free bottled water for one day, and guests would have to buy it on the first floor in the future. If we talk again, she simply ignored us with a dark face! The most outrageous thing was the last day. During breakfast in the morning, 3 of us took our luggage to the lobby so that we could check out after the meal and rush to the pier to take the boat. The man on duty at the front desk did not let their suitcases in and put them outside the door (out of sight of the front desk). After the meal, three suitcases were missing! We hurriedly negotiated with the man on duty, but he had no idea and said that they might have been loaded onto a truck and taken to the dock. We ran to the street and found a group of people loading luggage onto a truck, and then we found our luggage. This is the worst service of the four hotels we stayed in during our trip to Greece, and it is also the only one we gave a bad review.

Redelijk hotel. Ruime kamers. Moderne interieur, maar er is weinig aandacht voor de hotelgasten. Communicatie gaat over het algemeen via whatsapp. Dat is prima, maar weinig persoonlijkheid, wat we in andere hotels op kreta meer hadden. Helaas niet heel schoon. We hadden strandhanddoeken gevraagd. Speciale handdoeken voor strand hadden ze niet maar desondanks bereid om te helpen. Beperkt aantal eigen parkeerplaatsen, maar over het algemeen kun je op straat wel een plek vinden.

The location, service, breakfast, and cleanliness were all excellent. The only thing I would wish for, given that it has a pool, is for it to open earlier. The operating hours of 10:30 AM to 6:00 PM during the summer months are unreasonable. Many guests just want to relax on a sun lounger and enjoy the morning sun, not in the middle of the day. However, I would still choose this hotel again because it is pet-friendly, located in the heart of the city, and offers great service.

What a lovely stay in Crete! This hotel is gorgeous and spotless. The Breakfast Buffet was outstanding, and every staff member I encountered during my 3-day stay was smiling and helpful. My Executive seaside room was spacious and well-furnished, and it was a perfect place to recharge on my 3-week journey. It was an easy walk from the port (I arrived with SeaJets), and the public bus to the Palace of Knossos was waiting for me right below the hotel the next day. The concierge gave great advice on places to visit, and called for the (15€!) taxi when it was time to get to the airport. Efharistó, Megaron!

A fantastic hotel, just 200 meters from the Cretan Archaeological Museum. There's a bus stop right next to the hotel to Knossos Palace; a round trip costs €5. The room I booked was great, the bathroom was clean, and it had a balcony, but it was a bit noisy at night because it's near the road. Also, it's a bit far from the beach, so the sea view isn't great. There was a kettle and complimentary bottled water. The breakfast was excellent, served per person, and I couldn't finish it all. The coffee was the best I've had at breakfast in years. I would definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Heraklion.

The hotel is pretty clean and modern. We found the beds to be very comfy and the hotel's location was pretty convenient near the old town and port areas. The rooms are well appointed with a couple of chairs, a work area, a coffee/tea station, big TV and a large bathroom. There were enough plugs around the room and many switches with light settings to get it just right. We appreciated the balcony and the view outside but there were some cars that drove by with very loud music each night. The only significant complaint we had was that the bathroom shower leaked very easily in our rooms and got the floor wet near the toilet. The breakfast at the hotel was pretty good with a variety of Crete foods like cheese and pastries. There was fresh scrambled eggs and a very good sausage available as well. The breakfast also had a large variety of preserved fruits that paired well with the Greek yoghurt and included oranges, cherries, grapes and figs. We appreciated that the hotel had inexpensive parking nearby at Central Parking which was 7 Euros per day with unlimited in/out privileges as long as we got a stamp when we got in. The hotel also had a restaurant that offered room service and there was a popular cafe just across the street. This hotel was a good base for exploring Crete with a convenient location near the airport and the price was very fair for us.

Really enjoyed my stay at Porta suits. I have Booked it last minute in front of the airport at my arrival haha! Special thanks to the receptionist, what a friendly woman! Had lots of conversations and she was the best. The room was superb!! Really stylish, modern and warm. The jacuzzi top notch👌🏻. The bed is super comfortable and wow what a big kitchen with washingmachine, dishwasher and oven. Everything you need is here. The city center Minas cathedral spot is very near, less than 10 minute walk.if you don’t like walking, you can also take a bus. The bus stop is nearby and only costs 1,20 euros. It takes you to the big busstation at the port or you go out earlier.  Again, perfect stay! Will definitely come back with my family! Thank you again for the great service!

GGuest UserIt is relatively convenient to get to Cullersburg, the bus station and the central square. You can almost reach it by walking 500 meters. Take bus 2 to Knossos Palace. The hotel staff are warm and friendly, and the breakfast is rich and constantly improved according to our needs. The hotel can also help with sightseeing arrangements. Because it is difficult to go to Spinalonga Island in the off-season (it is closed on weekdays), but Mary helped contact the taxi driver, carefully planned the route and plan for us, and continued to discuss it. The reception was very warm and thoughtful. I just arrived at the hotel to send the free mint soda special drink, because our flight was late, they also gave late check out. The hotel is stunned, in all its manifestations, breakfast 5 stars, insecurity on the roof did not use but are sure of the number of occupied tables near there everything is good, visited in spa, area on 5 service on 5, massage level of guys forgive 3 points, Crete would recommend? The location, service, breakfast, and cleanliness were all excellent. The only thing I would wish for, given that it has a pool, is for it to open earlier. The operating hours of 10:30 AM to 6:00 PM during the summer months are unreasonable. Many guests just want to relax on a sun lounger and enjoy the morning sun, not in the middle of the day. However, I would still choose this hotel again because it is pet-friendly, located in the heart of the city, and offers great service.

Overall, the environment was clean and hygienic, and the room facilities were new. Breakfast had a rich variety, and the restaurant offered beautiful views overlooking the entire bay.

The hotel is pretty clean and modern. We found the beds to be very comfy and the hotel's location was pretty convenient near the old town and port areas. The rooms are well appointed with a couple of chairs, a work area, a coffee/tea station, big TV and a large bathroom. There were enough plugs around the room and many switches with light settings to get it just right. We appreciated the balcony and the view outside but there were some cars that drove by with very loud music each night. The only significant complaint we had was that the bathroom shower leaked very easily in our rooms and got the floor wet near the toilet. The breakfast at the hotel was pretty good with a variety of Crete foods like cheese and pastries. There was fresh scrambled eggs and a very good sausage available as well. The breakfast also had a large variety of preserved fruits that paired well with the Greek yoghurt and included oranges, cherries, grapes and figs. We appreciated that the hotel had inexpensive parking nearby at Central Parking which was 7 Euros per day with unlimited in/out privileges as long as we got a stamp when we got in. The hotel also had a restaurant that offered room service and there was a popular cafe just across the street. This hotel was a good base for exploring Crete with a convenient location near the airport and the price was very fair for us.

Amazing hotel with great friendly staff. The breakfast was great and had a lot of variety with traditional Greek food and gluten free and organic options. It is centrally located to the old town and lots of bars and restaurants. The bus Center is near by too.

Looks great in the pictures, though it's quite old, the walls are dirty, the toilet is dripping constantly. It's a very basic hotel, that's why I believe the price I paid wasn't worth it. Buffet at the 6th floor has a nice view of the port, and breakfast looks ok for €8, I haven't eaten there. They squiz fresh oranges! Lovely staff!

I giving this review from my previous stays at this accommodation over the last 10 Years. Its always been a pleasant and convenient place to stay. Just one complaint though. I accidentally booked the wrong dates to stay but i managed to cancel a whole week before i was meant to stay. NO REFUND EVEN WITH A WEEKS NOTICE!  The hotel Just referred me to TRIP.COM And TRIP.COM just referred me to The hotel. It definitely soured my experience with a place i have stayed at before every time i come to visit
