The hotel is very good, the staff is very kind and helpful, but it is strongly recommended that you do not book this on Trip. There will be many problems with the payment when checking in. Just book it directly on the official website.
Everything was perfectly arranged and the hotel is super beautiful. The staff were super friendly and hospitable!!! We do have 2 minor points to mention: the top of the wardrobe in the hotel room was quite dusty, and the edges in the shower could use a good cleaning. Otherwise, everything looked neat.

The staff was very helpfull and the food was so good that we stayed at the Hotel “de Proeftuin” for Diner.
The next day, after a good night sleep we had a kings-breakfast, again at the hotel restaurant.
This is wonderfull and we are happy to enjoy all the service the Efteling bring to us.
We have just got back from a 2 night stay here. We booked here for convenience to walk to the Efteling park and it is literally just round the corner (10minute walk). The family room was just what we needed, clean and a big bed to rest our heads. The staff were so polite and lovely. We changed the room clean for one free breakfast- which was wonderful by the way (people are saying that it's a lot of money for what it was but it is a help yourself service with no limit, hot and cold buffet. Here's an example of what we ate: scrambled eggs on toast, sausage and bacon baguette, fruit bowl with juicy watermelon, pancakes and donuts, endless hot drinks, fresh juice and flavoured milk).
One thing I do wish I had done was check out what the time was for check in before I booked the flights as we arrived at 11am but could not get in the room until 3pm but this was totally my fault but just a thought for anyone thinking of booking.
