It was beautifully arranged and made his day truly special. We really appreciated the effort. Security at the entrance was well managed, which made us feel safe throughout our stay. All staff members were professional, warm, and attentive. This was my first time staying at Mercure Jakarta Kota. While the hotel is not new or luxurious, it offers all the essentials for a comfortable stay. The room was clean and well-maintained, and I was especially impressed by the soundproofing between the room and the corridor — very well done. There was still a bit of noise from outside, but nothing too disturbing. The location is also convenient — it’s about 1 km walk to Chinatown, and getting a taxi is very easy from the hotel. Breakfast was quite local in style, but still decent and satisfying. The staff at breakfast were all very friendly and helpful. Housekeeping did a great job during my stay. The bathroom is a bit old, but everything worked perfectly, including hot water and water pressure. The only real drawback is the elevator, which feels a bit outdated. However, considering the overall value for money, this is easy to overlook. Overall, I had a very pleasant stay. I was satisfied with everything and would definitely return next time I’m in Jakarta!

I asked four times for the hard boiled eggs, everytime they give me the soft boiled eggs. see the pictures below: 1st time, I asked 2 hard boiled eggs while I repeated many time ”hard boiled eggs”. then they give me picture 1. 2nd time, after I told the waiter, he said sorry to me, and give me another one. it's hot and I went to grab other food. when I came back, my egg was taken away. 3rd time, after the waiter said sorry to me. he give me another egg, see picture 2. still soft boiled. 4th time, I told to the manager who was drassed different. She said sorry to me and asked me if they could send to my room. I told here I am leaving, just want to eat an egg as my breakfast. she told me to wait for another 5 minutes. I waited, they give me picture 3. then I can't wait anymore, I have to catch up the plane. I am really really bored. why is the good hotel can not cook hard boiled eggs? why? I am 100% sure they understand me, I double checked many times with them. I also got ACCRO's membership. the eggs disappointed me very much. hope you will upgrade your service very soon. especially the egg cooks. I will come back soon.

This hotel is absolutely beautiful, and every staff member is incredibly warm and friendly. The ladies at the front desk, Mia, Rieke, Anne, and Jessica, are all lovely and patient. I even received flowers and a small gift because it was International Women's Day. I spent a week in Jakarta and loved it so much that I didn't want to switch hotels. The location is also excellent and very quiet. I'll definitely stay here again if I ever return to Jakarta.

Basically the whole experience was a plus. Some downsides of this hotel is, it seems that there is no door insulation which make the door bang loudly every time the hotel guest entering-exiting the room. Even people talk loudly on fifth floor can be heard on third floor. The hotel really need quality sound-proofing material urgently. The noise of people closing the door, chair scraping the floor is just a nightmare at night. The hot water system was inadequate for 2 people. If you have first person showering, the second needs to wait at least 10 minutes to get the benefit of the hot water. Other than that, everything was really good and comfortable.l would like to say thank you and would name the person that really look after while we stayed there. Rizky, Rian, and pak Komar the security guy. Will I be back? Yes. With higher expectation. Thank you Casa Calma!

Stayed here 4 nights and paid about 767 AED total, which is actually very good value for Jakarta. The main reason I chose this hotel was its direct connection to Mal Ciputra Jakarta, which turned out to be extremely convenient. 👍 What Was Good Staff effort The staff were genuinely helpful and polite. When problems happened with the room, they assisted with luggage and helped move me twice without much resistance. They also later tried to make up for the experience by offering an executive dinner at the lounge on the 17th floor, which I appreciated. Gym Surprisingly good for a hotel gym. It’s well equipped and spacious, easily one of the better hotel gyms I’ve seen. Breakfast buffet Breakfast was solid with good variety. No complaints there. Location & mall access This is honestly 75% of the reason to book this hotel. Being directly connected to the mall is extremely convenient for food, shopping and avoiding Jakarta traffic. ⚠️ Where Things Went Wrong Room issues and multiple changes I had to change rooms twice. • First time was around 2 AM after arrival because the shower wasn’t working and the bathroom felt quite dilapidated. • The next morning I had to move again because the AC wouldn’t go below 23°C, which made the room uncomfortable. The third room they gave me was more modern and functional, although slightly smaller. At least the bathroom and AC worked properly. Food quality: This was probably the biggest disappointment. One evening in the lobby I ordered chicken spring rolls and whiskey, and unfortunately bit into a bone inside the spring roll, which was not a pleasant experience at all. The staff removed the dish from the bill and offered a fruit plate, but it still left a bad impression. The à la carte food was also underwhelming. I ordered a pepperoni pizza and fries for around 354,530 IDR, and the pizza honestly tasted like a frozen pizza that had been microwaved rather than freshly cooked. Room service was similarly average. 🚧 Facilities The swimming pool was under construction, so I didn’t get to try it. Final Thoughts Overall I’d say 3 to 3.5 stars. The location, gym, and staff effort were good, but the room issues and disappointing food quality brought the experience down. Would I stay again? Possibly for the location and mall access, but I would definitely skip ordering food at the hotel next time.
