The good: The huge rooms , samsung tv with seamless connection and fast internet speed allowing multiple devices. The bath tub and direct access to mall. The staff are so friendly, as they greet and have a nice smile or small talk. Very good english so no issue for communication. Easy to have taxi as they have bluebird taxi on standby.
The bad : The breakfast food was disappointing for family with kid so we did not go back after first day. For business traveller who needs a bite and go, it will suffice. Not for long-term stay. The ascott reward point system was bad - it was a week after we check out.. i finally sign up but don't see my stay, so i email and hope that support team can have this first past reservation added. During stay, I had to let plumbing come in to fix an issue with a leak for lower floor - amazingly it happen when we have not even used the bath tub. The fix took an hour plus. Request happen at 4 pm and we are at home. Swimming pool (1.2metre for adult pool) is okay for kids - at least a toddler pool but no slides.
Conclusion: Enjoy the hotel access to shopping mall, availability of large food choices on delivery app and posh feeling - so will still recommend.FromAU$160

when I arrived at the hotel and entered the gate for ticketing and inspection. During the inspection, I opened the trunk of my car, which operates automatically. As the trunk began to open slightly, the security personnel conducting the inspection manually forced it shut. The trunk automatically reopened, and the staff member again manually closed it. This action was repeated three times. Such handling may cause damage to the trunk system, which is designed to be closed only through the automatic button.
I deeply regret that a hotel of DoubleTree’s caliber has not provided proper training or awareness to its security staff regarding vehicles with automatic trunk systems, which must not be closed manually.
I had already lodged a complaint during check-in with Assistant Front Manager. I sincerely appreciate the hotel’s goodwill gesture of offering me a complimentary breakfast for two adults and one child in response to my concern. However, this gesture does not resolve the potential damage to my vehicle. I have scheduled a service appointment on August 23, 2025, to have my trunk system inspected. Visit with a pax of two. Pictures online show there should be a long sofa in the room for a huge party to sit but when we arrived in our room there was only one small sofa so the other person needed to sit on the floor. We then called the housekeeping and the guy bluntly said: ”Yes, your other pax needs to sit on the floor..” what a POLITE answer to a Ritz Carlton guest. We got enraged and approached the service manager and she claimed it's the NEW standard of the room ....
Apart from this sofa incident, room is a little outdated. We got some nails and dirts as GIFTS from previous guest(s) before us. TWG teas downgraded to Twinings .... amenity kits reduced from shower caps, cotton buds, handcream etc into just shampoo and shower gels ... and they all look cheap.

The only word I can use about here is ”Superb” -we had a bad experience at Grand Tropic so checked out after 15 minutes -then came here -yes a bit expensive but worth every penny/cent -Lady on reception -sorry dont remember her name was superb -apartment really just great -was six or seven of us -apart from me all Indonesian-I was concerned about no pork etc. as all Muslim -no problem at breakfast the Restaurant Manager just a great guy -yes we waited a bit as was busy but first day 6 then seven second day totally acceptable -but he really went out of his way to make us happy -I have lived in Asia 18 years just dont eat rice much -but asked for 'nasi Goreng” for my friends -and ended eating myself was great superb taste -kudos to Chef -but Restaurant Manager and team were just superb -Restaurant Manager -just knows how to deal with foreigners and Indonesians in a seamless fashion -=wont mention his name -you find out!FromAU$125

Though the room appears clean but there were several defects that should be fixed before the room is rented out.
1. The hair dryer was spoiled. Asked for replacement and it didn't happen.
2. The bathroom exhaust not working. As a result the smell spilled into the room. The bathroom mirror was fogged by the hot shower.
3. The bath enclosure drainage was choked. Causing water flooding during shower.
4. The hand shower hose was broken, water jetting from the connection and splashed all over.
5. Aircon controller was malfunction and could not set the temperature properly. We were awaken with sweat all over our head in the middle of the night cos it was too hot
With above reasons overall I could only rate them 1 star out of 5.FromAU$72

The hotel is very clean and well maintained.
It's located in the heart of Jakarta and convenient to go to tourist places such as Monas, National mosque and cathedral.
The room was super clean and well equipped. I enjoyed the flavorful teas in the room. My husband and I ordered food via the Grab app. There were plenty of Halal certified restaurants around us.
The breakfast buffet was superb. Large varieties, waiters and waitresses were very helpful. We enjoyed food a lot 😊
The pool & gym were also nice.

Fo Staff need to well train how to talk with the guest, she wasn’t checked my ID card properly then she just said she couldn't find my name on the reservation. So I remind her to read and spell my name properly.
