I truly believe this is hands down the best hotel in Muscat. The service is flawless, the facilities are top-notch, and the breakfast is excellent. The only downside is that the Wi-Fi is quite slow. I wish I could remember all the staff members' names — every one of them was outstanding. This is easily one of the best hotel experiences I've had, and I’ll definitely choose this place again when I return to Muscat.

I recently stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn Muscat and was thoroughly impressed by the flawless experience. The check-in was seamless, with friendly staff who were attentive and welcoming. The room was spotlessly clean, modern, and equipped with a comfortable bed, high-speed Wi-Fi, and a well-designed workspace. The hotel’s facilities, including the fitness center and pool, were pristine and well-maintained. Its convenient location made exploring Muscat a breeze. Every detail was perfect, making my stay truly exceptional. I’d highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Muscat!

This was a great hotel APART from the very strong air freshener used inside the rooms, which was so strong I could taste it in my mouth! The kind hotel actually used the ozone machine to suck the air out of a room for me but it hardly made any difference. I stayed over a week and it took about 4 days for the smell to wear off. I would suggest not using such an overpowering smell in the rooms as surely it must be uncomfortable for many guests. But the food was great, staff were great, rooftop and pool -- I would certainly recommend if you don't mind very intense air freshener!

I'd like to share with you a small hotel. There aren't many reviews from other people. Ctrip helped me book the hotel. Ctrip's service is still good. The modern equipment of the whole hotel is still good. At the beginning, there will be a big difference in design compared with the W Hotel. After going up, it is still good overall. It also reflects the country's emphasis on tourism, the possibility of the development of the hotel industry and the surrounding serviced apartment projects. There are very few Chinese people. Oman is a visa-free country. From the overall feeling of entry, it is still very modern and good. Although there is a so-called special channel for tipping when entering the country, 10 Omani currency, if you take a taxi, you can not go to the reservation counter at the exit of the arrival hall to call. After exiting the exit, the taxi entrance is still good.

Location is in a good neighborhood, you can cook and the room is spacious. Suitable for long stays. However for me, there are better hotels to stay at in the same price range. Encountered a problem multiple times with the door lock, overall it's ok. The wifi is also good.

Paying by card in Qatar was a real hassle; it kept failing all day, even at the hotel. Why do I have to pay upon arrival instead of just paying on the website? It's so inconvenient for customers! The service was mediocre. I left a piece of clothing at the hotel and they didn't even bother to call and notify me.

location good. near some fast food eateries. hotel breakfast was good but needs a bit more variety - i stayed for 3 nights so the dishes were almost the same every day. My room was comfortable. unfortunately my view was not great (another building). there were a lot of bugs (like flies) in the bathroom because there is poor air circulation. suggestion: please have clothes hangers that can be used in the bathroom. Some hooks o the wall would be useful for coats/jackets. the lady at the reception when i checked in wasn't warm or friendly. she had a neutral face. no warm greeting or friendliness that i would expect from a frontline hotel staff. she also was there when i checked out - she was on the phone and just gestured for me to drop my key card in the box. no ”thank you”, or ”bye” or anything. nobody helped me with my luggage when i checked out. my van pickup was blocked by a parked car so i had to use the steps (and not the ramp). it would be nice if there was someone from the hotel to assist. there was a male staff who helped me when my key card did not work on 14 September 2025. He was very helpful, warm and actually accompanied me to my room to check the card. good service! overall, good stay. would definitely return if come back to Muscat.

The hotel is quite a distance from the city center and not particularly close to the airport either. However, the hotel's facilities and overall environment are very good; it's clean and well-maintained. The front desk staff were also very friendly. The only drawback was that the buffet options were quite uninspired. Furthermore, there are no dining options nearby, and the area feels quite isolated.

The rooms were spotless, spacious, and beautifully decorated, with all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay. The location was perfect—close to major attractions and great restaurants. My kids especially loved the breakfast buffet😁 Overall, I highly recommend Sheraton to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable stay. We’ll definitely be coming back!

This is my second visit to Muscat and I was impressed by the pool, which is over 100m long. The pool is truly gorgeous! Since August is the low season, there are not many guests at the hotel and you can swim in the pool alone, as if it were your own private pool! In fact, there are 3 pools. So you can choose the one that suits your taste. Perhaps, swimming in the Gulf of Oman did not impress me much. Let's just say that there are better seas. But, on the other hand, there is always such a small percentage of vacationers who want to swim in the sea that most people just need to go in, jump in the waves and get out. In terms of enjoying the beach, the experience here is 100% positive. The service on the beach is excellent! They constantly bring ice water with lemon and mint, offer refreshing napkins, and treat you to fruits. The hotel is designed in a traditional Arabic style and fully meets the idea of a luxurious holiday. The dark palette in the interiors emphasizes the architecture and gives a sense of sophistication. For guests who book villas, the Amouage bath line is offered. In simpler rooms - Аsqua di Parma, which is also not bad! As for the food, in my opinion, it is ordinary, without frills. I received undoubted aesthetic pleasure from staying in this beautiful place, but the hotel did not make any gastronomic impressions on me. At the same time, there are no complaints about the service. Everyone I dealt with - reception staff, beach staff, waiters are exceptionally friendly and responsive!

Very nice experience, the breakfast buffet I liked the most with lots of choices and coffee machine availability itself is a big star ( I am a fan of coffee drinks) .. The room TV screen was unfortunately locked not allowing me to connect my own device with HDMI as I used to watch things through it.. The bed had some tiny bugs causing itchiness which means the bed and coverings had not been exposed to enough sun light.. Otherwise the staff are very welcoming and nice price with great stay..

Without any prior information, upon arrival we discovered that the entire exterior is under repair. The hotel is large and spacious, but quite old. The service is intended to be quality but does not reach the standards of other equivalent hotels. No doubt the immobilization of part of the hotel under repair has affected the quality of the services. The end of the repairs is scheduled for May 2025, with a swimming pool and a new exterior.

The staff was helpful when attempting to get a taxi but it seems that there are some things that are lost in translation when other inquiries are made. It's odd that sometimes the housekeeping wouldn't understand the need to replace creamer, soap, tissues or toilet paper. We stayed for 9 days. Walking distance to the coast which was nice. The breakfast offerings were adequate but maintaining the temperature of the food was not a priority.

Amazing time spent at the Ritz. Feeling like royalty as you step in as it was previously the Sultan’s palace. After a day of adventuring you feel as you’ve entered a haven of peace. The staff was helpful, elegant, and really trying to satisfy every need. They also have one of the best Chinese gastronomic restaurants I have tasted. This hotel is strategically located close to the Avenues Mall. Attached to this mall (and closest entrance to the hotel) is Lulu Hypermarket -an amazing supermarket with local and international brands, and a fantastic bakery. This mall is a 5 minute walk from the hotel. However, you do have walk along the road as the sidewalk / footpath does not exist. But this is only for 300 metres. In fact you can get off the street, but it is gravel/ construction site, so you shoes will be messy. Uber and Grab do not exist in Oman. However, the hotel has two or three taxi drivers that will you take you anywhere. They use set rates, rather than a meter. For example Hotel to Airport run is 8 is Omani Rial (US $20). While this hotel is great for shopping, it is not the best for major attractions of Muscat. The main historical sites of Alam Palace, Ai Mirania Fort and National Museum is 21 kms from the hotel. About 10 Omani Rial is each way by taxi. However, there are very few hotels in this area, so most people stay in hotels near Malls in Oman. This is some form of Public Transport in Muscat, but it can be hard for tourists to use without changing to another bus or long walks. For example, the Royal Opera House is 10 kms from hotel. By using public transport this would require a 2.5 kms walk. The hotel rooms are quite spacious and feature comfortable lounge style chairs. The hotel is located near an expressway /motorway, but good soundproofing means this is not an issue. I was of level 3 and could just see the ocean in the distance (right) and the mall (to left). They do have ocean view room (more expensive higher up the building). The TV is very disappointing - small & old with fuzzy channels. Fortunately, the internet is great, so viewing most programs on the computer. The rooftop has great swimming pool and bar, but maybe a little too cold to swim with highs of about 22-23 C in winter. Staff at receptionist are very obliging. I can definitely recommend this hotel for shopping and good base to experience Muscat. However, as mentioned, it is long way from the major tourists attraction of the city and taxi is required.

Excellent service and a truly premium experience at JW Marriott Muscat. The staff was attentive at Kitchen 7 (big shout out to Yuni, Naveen, Saad, Ashiqul, Pankaj and other staff) throughout the stay, constantly checking in to ensure everything was perfect. Breakfast spread was fantastic. Rooms were spotlessly clean and well maintained. The only downside is the location. While it's close to the airport, it's far from most city attractions. 1) The first thing I would like to note is the location of the hotel. It is really advantageous. The view from the hotel is gorgeous, the sunset is amazing. The territory of the hotel itself is very small, but you can go beyond the territory, there is a very green and cozy area. 2) Beach. The beach is located in a small bay. Very comfortable and uncrowded. The sea here is always shallow, there are often low tides and in order to dive at least waist-deep you have to stomp and stomp. The beach is ideal for a holiday with children, but not for those who like to swim. But lying on the sun loungers here is cool in any case. 3) Service. The service is generally poor. The staff is mostly not very smiling. 4) Rooms. The rooms are simple and tired. Bedside tables from the 90s. I don’t understand why they can’t upgrade! At first we took a standard room, but then we changed it to a room with a sea view and a balcony. It’s 100% worth it. I strongly recommend paying extra, because the sea view is gorgeous, and the balcony is large and it's great to sit there in the evenings! The view of the city will significantly spoil your impressions of the hotel! If you take it without a balcony, then definitely with a sea view! 5) Restaurants. The restaurants are excellent, with a gorgeous view. But very expensive. We were first in a restaurant by the beach for lunch - it was very expensive and not very tasty. All the food was brought cold, and this was in the heat! Then we went to the Italian, very tasty! And in the local, it's nearby, we took a set for two. It turned out to be a bargain, and there was so much food that for 2 adults and one child it was just too much:) SEPARATE REMARK ON THE RESTAURANT. As far as I found out later, IHG program participants (free registration) are given a discount in restaurants (25 percent). When registering at the hotel, I specifically indicated that I was a member, to which I was told that since the booking was made through a partner, the loyalty program was not involved in any way. As a result, my loyalty program number was not recorded, no one asked in the restaurants, and as a result, I did not receive any discount! This left very unpleasant emotions.

I would rate my stay at the Mysk Al Mouj Hotel a 7/10. The property is overall good, with a convenient location and a solid breakfast offering. However, there are certain areas that could be improved, which prevented me from giving it a higher score. The pool is a bit small for a hotel of this caliber, and there aren't enough sun loungers for guests. The cleanliness was acceptable, but the reception service was not very efficient and felt a bit slow. While the hotel is slightly on the expensive side for the quality and service provided, the taxi service booked through the hotel was considerably overpriced compared to regular rates.
