Hyatt Ziva Cabo! This review is geared towards those with young kids. Wife and I brought our 11 month old, and 3 1/2 year old boys. I was nervous going due to the recent reviews I had been reading. I can tell you this resort is fantastic, from start to finish and great for kids. We have been to five all inclusive. A Rio, Sandals, and Iberostar and this was overall our best experience. PROS: 1. Food: 7 or so restaurants. ＞ Buffett was above average food, with a large selection. Freshly made breakfast burritos, fresh Guacamole and ceviche were our go to's. Plenty of food for my kids that they enjoyed. ＞ Mexican restaurant. Good quality food ＞ Chinese/Japanese: Normal sushi role was just okay. Ask for the specialty role, it is as good as any role we have ever had in California at a Sushi Restaurant. ＞ Habachi Grille: Excellent! This is the only one you need to book in advance. 3-5PM, go to the lobby and sign up, you will be a few days out for a reservation. ＞ Food by the pool: Snack bar: Had really good healthy bowls, as well as hamburgers, fries, etc. There is a taco bar next to the ADULTS pool, also very good. Take it to go with kids. 3PM a quesadilla trailer opens, also a good spot. ＞ Itailian: Pizza and salmon were good. Not amazing. ＞ French and Argentinian: We did not get a chance to try. French is the only 18+ * Rooms: Excellent!! Massive room, large balcony with ocean views. Room was very clean, mini bar stocked with beer, snacks and water. Bathroom good size. We were able to shower both boys in there together. * Kids activities: ＞ Kids pool! Great pool, 3 slides, shallow water. Adults not allowed to go down slides. My 3.5 year old loved it, though I would say it is geared more towards 5-10. 2 of the slides were very fast. Also a small kids pool, about a foot deep next to it. ＞ Kids club: did not use. You are not allowed in there with your kids. That was a bummer. I believe you have to drop your children off, probably extra charge. It would have been nice to be able to utilize the arts and crafts for my son, but were not able to. Playground next to it. ＞ Beach. Large beach to play in the sand. No swimming at all. Very dangerous. Fatal. ＞ Pools: BEAUTIFUL! 2 massive pools in the middle of the Resort. kids can use both. Both are very warm. One has a swim up bar. We rented a water cabana one day, I believe for about $115. Well worth it. * Shows: Great entertainment! 45 min shows, starting at 8:30PM every night. Pretty late for kids, but we kept my kids up and decided to go each night and they loved it. One show was superhero and Disney, etc. another was geared towards the show COCO. My son got to meet the superhero and coco and it made his trip. Dancing is excellent and the main singer has a Disney style voice. * Service: Excellent. Everyone was very kind, worked extremely hard. We had a group of 6 in a 2 bedroom villa to celebrate my daughter's 25th birthday. The resort is beautiful....clean, modern and well appointed. Check in was smooth and we enjoyed pool time while we waited for our room to be ready. The villa was beautiful. I loved the white and contemporary furnishings. Housekeeping was very good with sheets changed daily and room refreshed at turn down. The kitchen is spacious as we prepared breakfast and lunch most days. Small details, but the kitchens could use a cookie sheet for baking and a larger frypan. We enjoyed the pool each day and found plenty of lounge chairs available when we went down. No need to get your space early in the morning. Loved getting up to watch the sunrise on the beach. No swimming here, as the undertow is strong, but we loved walking the beach. Food in both Javier's and by the pool was terrific. Margarita's are very good, and the service is excellent. The store on the property has basic needs, but found the local Selecto Chedraui has an excellent selection of fresh tortilla's, liquor, wine and food. We loved staying away from busy Cabo San Lucas, preferring the San Jose area for our family. From$240

Rooms were ok for the price. No sewer smell for us. Shower drain was slow though. Food was the best, authentic Mexican, I couldn't eat enough. Food selection was minimal, but it was really great tasting. Pool bartenders were slow, but sped up if you leave a few bucks for tip. Check in was mostly quick. However once you are checked in you are ushered over to the time share people. Just say NO. We even had the infamous Jorge take our baggage, no problems with him, he was polite, knowledgeable and quick. The only major complaint about this place was the trash wifi. The wifi DOES NOT have a MESH system. So as you move throughout the resort you have to connect to a new hotspot. Infuriating, on top of that they use some home grown crap sign in system, so your device cannot ever remember the username and password. So every time you sign in (even if you signed in previously) you have to re-enter the wifi credentials. I've had way better wifi at cheap hotels in the mountains of costa rica in the middle of no where. It's 2022 there is absolutely no excuse for this.From$69

The scenery is very good and the location is very good. However, the sound insulation is really bad. The noise of the vacuum cleaner is around 7:00 every morning, and the sound of the capsule coffee machine in the next room is awakened. There are not many choices to eat, so two or three restaurants can eat. The rooftop restaurant on the top floor of the hotel is awesome.SOLD OUT

Overall the hotel is new and wonderful, but the lady at the front desk is very impressed with the prepaid payment at the time of check-in and the explanation of what is an open voucher that can be used in the hotel is insufficient It was incompetent. The food are average but plentiful. the problem is the two oversized receptionistsin the front desk, They checked us in late was in helpful and rude. They seem more keen to serves American than us. The female keep reminding us we are on a “cheaper” package…The manager try hard to verify the situation, but their attitude really spoilt a great holiday. The room is spacious the staffs in the guest service and restaurants are good. They’re plenty of hotels in the area I’m sure they’ll offer a better experience. From$225

Beautiful hotel in the town of San Jose de Los Cabos. My husband, son and I had a two room suite. It was beautifully appointed with a nice kitchen with brand new appliances. There was a great Murphy bed for my son in his room and our room had a king size bed and kitchenette. The Murphy bed is much more comfortable than a sofa bed and easy to set up. My son had his own bathroom. My husband and I had a slightly larger bathroom with two sinks. Our rooms had connecting doors. The roof top pool was gorgeous and the views of the nearby mountains was superb. I had the pool to myself most of an afternoon. The hotel is very new so the furnishings and decor are wonderful and modern. It was a short walk to the galleries and restaurants. Highly recommend this hotel. Hyatt Ziva Cabo! This review is geared towards those with young kids. Wife and I brought our 11 month old, and 3 1/2 year old boys. I was nervous going due to the recent reviews I had been reading. I can tell you this resort is fantastic, from start to finish and great for kids. We have been to five all inclusive. A Rio, Sandals, and Iberostar and this was overall our best experience. PROS: 1. Food: 7 or so restaurants. ＞ Buffett was above average food, with a large selection. Freshly made breakfast burritos, fresh Guacamole and ceviche were our go to's. Plenty of food for my kids that they enjoyed. ＞ Mexican restaurant. Good quality food ＞ Chinese/Japanese: Normal sushi role was just okay. Ask for the specialty role, it is as good as any role we have ever had in California at a Sushi Restaurant. ＞ Habachi Grille: Excellent! This is the only one you need to book in advance. 3-5PM, go to the lobby and sign up, you will be a few days out for a reservation. ＞ Food by the pool: Snack bar: Had really good healthy bowls, as well as hamburgers, fries, etc. There is a taco bar next to the ADULTS pool, also very good. Take it to go with kids. 3PM a quesadilla trailer opens, also a good spot. ＞ Itailian: Pizza and salmon were good. Not amazing. ＞ French and Argentinian: We did not get a chance to try. You are not allowed in there with your kids. That was a bummer. I believe you have to drop your children off, probably extra charge. Check in was smooth and we enjoyed pool time while we waited for our room to be ready. The villa was beautiful. I loved the white and contemporary furnishings. Housekeeping was very good with sheets changed daily and room refreshed at turn down. The kitchen is spacious as we prepared breakfast and lunch most days. The store on the property has basic needs, but found the local Selecto Chedraui has an excellent selection of fresh tortilla's, liquor, wine and food. The hotel is nice. It face the beautiful ocean and with three lovely pools. The inclusive package includes breakfast lunch and dinner. The food are average but plentiful. the problem is the two oversized receptionistsin the front desk, They checked us in late was in helpful and rude. They seem more keen to serves American than us. The female keep reminding us we are on a “cheaper” package…The manager try hard to verify the situation, but their attitude really spoilt a great holiday. The room is spacious the staffs in the guest service and restaurants are good. They’re plenty of hotels in the area I’m sure they’ll offer a better experience. From$225

I loved my Week at this relatively New Hotel it is walking distance from The Airport I flew Down to SJD Airport YVR Vancouver BC on Air Canada & came back on West Jet Airlines thankfully unlike other Fliers on Southwest or Sunwing etc I had no delays or cancellations.My Room there was big, neat & comfy with a Shower & Toilet & oddly a Sink that was outside of The Bathroom near The Door Entrance.They give offered a free North American Style Breakfast a Buffet that had Scrambled eggs & Ham,Hash Browns,French Toast a few other food items + Coffee & Orange Juice 🍊.This Hotel is one that a Lot of Guests seemed to use it for overnight stays after staying at either Air B&B's & Hotels in San Jose Del Cabo or further Down in Los Cabos because of it's very close proximity to The Airport.I ran into some Travelers from Chicago & Edmonton there.I liked the Staff The Front Desk were efficient & friendly there they were all helpful especially Caesar who was always helpful in anyway possible plus he gave me some good Transport tips.I would recommend this Hotel to anyone staying for a day or longer I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again in the future so yeah it gets 2 thumbs up from me👍👍.I liked my time there especially hanging out by the Tranquil Swimming Pool with all The beautiful Mini Palm Trees 🌴 on one side of it.San Jose Del Cabo maybe catch you on The Flip Side in a few years time as Roger Moore/ Lord Brett Sinclair says in The Persuaders Old TV Show to one of his 3 Hitch Hiker Friends in the back after his Front Seat Lady Friend vacates The Front Passenger Seat..next!From$129

|2.1km from city centerWe had a group of 6 in a 2 bedroom villa to celebrate my daughter's 25th birthday. The resort is beautiful....clean, modern and well appointed. Check in was smooth and we enjoyed pool time while we waited for our room to be ready. The villa was beautiful. I loved the white and contemporary furnishings. Housekeeping was very good with sheets changed daily and room refreshed at turn down. The kitchen is spacious as we prepared breakfast and lunch most days. Small details, but the kitchens could use a cookie sheet for baking and a larger frypan. We enjoyed the pool each day and found plenty of lounge chairs available when we went down. The noise of the vacuum cleaner is around 7:00 every morning, and the sound of the capsule coffee machine in the next room is awakened. There are not many choices to eat, so two or three restaurants can eat. The rooftop restaurant on the top floor of the hotel is awesome.

I was nervous going due to the recent reviews I had been reading. I can tell you this resort is fantastic, from start to finish and great for kids. We have been to five all inclusive. A Rio, Sandals, and Iberostar and this was overall our best experience. PROS: 1. Food: 7 or so restaurants. ＞ Buffett was above average food, with a large selection. Freshly made breakfast burritos, fresh Guacamole and ceviche were our go to's. Plenty of food for my kids that they enjoyed. ＞ Mexican restaurant. Good quality food ＞ Chinese/Japanese: Normal sushi role was just okay. Ask for the specialty role, it is as good as any role we have ever had in California at a Sushi Restaurant. ＞ Habachi Grille: Excellent! This is the only one you need to book in advance. 3-5PM, go to the lobby and sign up, you will be a few days out for a reservation. ＞ Food by the pool: Snack bar: Had really good healthy bowls, as well as hamburgers, fries, etc. There is a taco bar next to the ADULTS pool, also very good. Take it to go with kids. 3PM a quesadilla trailer opens, also a good spot. ＞ Itailian: Pizza and salmon were good. Not amazing. ＞ French and Argentinian: We did not get a chance to try. French is the only 18+ * Rooms: Excellent!! Massive room, large balcony with ocean views. Room was very clean, mini bar stocked with beer, snacks and water. Bathroom good size. We were able to shower both boys in there together. * Kids activities: ＞ Kids pool! Great pool, 3 slides, shallow water. Adults not allowed to go down slides. My 3.5 year old loved it, though I would say it is geared more towards 5-10. 2 of the slides were very fast. Also a small kids pool, about a foot deep next to it. ＞ Kids club: did not use. You are not allowed in there with your kids. That was a bummer. I believe you have to drop your children off, probably extra charge. It would have been nice to be able to utilize the arts and crafts for my son, but were not able to. Playground next to it. ＞ Beach. Large beach to play in the sand. No swimming at all. Very dangerous. Fatal. ＞ Pools: BEAUTIFUL! 2 massive pools in the middle of the Resort. kids can use both. Both are very warm. One has a swim up bar. We rented a water cabana one day, I believe for about $115. Well worth it. * Shows: Great entertainment! 45 min shows, starting at 8:30PM every night. Pretty late for kids, but we kept my kids up and decided to go each night and they loved it. One show was superhero and Disney, etc. another was geared towards the show COCO. My son got to meet the superhero and coco and it made his trip. Dancing is excellent and the main singer has a Disney style voice. * Service: Excellent. Everyone was very kind, worked extremely hard.
