I my family and I rented three rooms here in December 2022. Two rooms with a king size bed and one room with two queen size beds. All rooms had spectacular views from their private balconies. The Wi-Fi connection was not strong in one of our rooms but the staff promptly moved us into a new room. We especially enjoyed how the hotel offers massages in the room. The beach was rocky but the view was unbeatable. The breakfast in the morning was great and cost friendly and the dinner in the evening was even more cost friendly and so tasty. We can’t wait to return here during our next trip to Subic!From$85

A week ago, I booked a ”superior Deluxe” room with bathtub, for our 8th couple Anniversary, as I wanted to treat my wife for this occasion. As she was around and I couldn't speak, I immediately confirmed by e-mail, requesting (with a supplement) some flowers and chocolates. First my request was denied for ”short notice” ! Like you need over 2 days to pick a flew flowers and buy some chocolates... Upon arrival, we had to pay the total amount, 18'000 peso, in advance ! Now I understand why... The first room did not have a bathtub, so I demanded that my booking to be fulfilled ! Then we were brought to the one with a bathtub... For the whole week-end we didn't have any warm water, so no bathtub, no shower ! The room was filthy... I ate a cookie on saturday afternoon, the crumbs were still on the nightstand when we left on monday ! The room 581 ”Superior Deluxe” is totally run down, just check the pictures !!! Stains everywhere on the walls, dirty windows, loose electric wires hanging in front of windows... Cobwebs on the Shower ceiling... And the bathtub... Probably some antiques from the 19th century when you see this piece of work (pictures to prove...). If you like geology, you will enjoy that room, as you also havbe a wonderful ”fault line” going across the room ! Now the restaurant... Many dishes are ”unavailable” even simple hashbrowns !!! What's left is totally overpriced and the crew prefers to sit and make jokes about the customers (bad luck, my wife is pinay and understood the whole lot...) ! So all in all ? A week-end in Hell at the price of a very good hotel in Manila... Just stay away !From$42

The resort is right on the beach. The pool is a little small but the bar is right next to it. Staff are very friendly and helpful. My room was rundown though. Shower was weak and the drain was blocked. Bed sheets were clean. Would recommend if you're travelling on the cheap From$36

This hotel was simple but cute, with small but attractive rooms. The beds were very comfortable. Rooms with a balcony are better as those without feel a bit stuffy. The pool is not as big as the photo makes it look. There is no restaurant so they gave us breakfast vouchers at a small restaurant next door. The food here was all right but repetitive over a few days. The hotel is within walking distance to some good restaurants so this was an advantage. I liked the quietness of the location.From$72

I am currently staying at Palm Tree resort and will be departing tomorrow. I have been a guest here about 6/7 times since they opened and I have never failed to be impressed with the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff, the service and the food. I have also stayed at several other local hotels but always return to Palm Tree. The restaurant serves really good food and the Sunday traditional roast is first rate. The room I am in (203) has a comfortable king size bed, patio doors leading onto a patio that overlooks the small swimming and paddling pool below, and ice cold air con. Wi-Fi for the most part was good but occasionally was slow or would drop off. I did ask reception once if they could reboot their system, which they did and within about 5-minutes it was back on. The location is perfect, straight onto the beach at the rear and in the centre of the Barretto from the main exit. There is some building work being undertaken currently but this is at the front, near the main entrance and is almost complete (even the builders were very friendly, always a ”good morning” or ”hello” greeting). Overall a very enjoyable stay.SOLD OUT

Rest assured will go back here again for us to stay away from the city (that is so busy) Fee was 500php and 300php consumable at the pool bar. On checking in for 3 days I paid for my room cash up front and was shown my room. A few hours later received a text to say the room I was given was more expensive and I could either pay the difference or leave. After an argument I opted to pay the diff. but despite all the credit card signs on the counter the receptionist could not accept my card as she did not know how to operate the machine. I could not connect to the internet and was told if I looked on my key tag the password was there. However they soon discovered they had put the wrong password on my key. That night I found the new bedside lamp did not work, nor could I open the safe which was locked. The website stated tea and coffee were provided in the room, there was none, it also mentioned a bed cover or duvet, yet my bed had a single thin sheet. the bar fridge had a list of drink prices taped to the door, but was empty. The glass window was smashed and the broken glass held together with sticky tape (Picture provided !) On leaving I was told I did not need to pay the difference on the room !!From$26

The way I went to Benang by myself, so it was a bit complicated, but it's easy to get to the car. The exterior and facilities are old and old, but it is right next to the sea, so there is a advantage to go out to the beach at any time. When you come to family trips, children go to sand play and have a small pool. Food, water and drinks are not allowed to be brought from outside, so you should use the bar and restaurant in the resort. You have to walk about 100 meters to the 7-Eleven convenience store. Most meals are enjoyable between 300-400PESO and have a cocktail at night and have a good sea view. However, it is good to prepare because there are many bugs and mosquitoesFrom$32

Location is good and budget friendly but other than that there is nothing nice about this hotel. No bottled water, no toiletries and no towels provided. We requested 2 towels and they provided us with a fee. Upon checkout they mentioned that there should be 4 towels, 2 that should have been in the room as complimentary and the 2 that we requested. Housekeeper confirmed he definitely placed 2 towels in the room but there weren't any. Towels looks like rags by the way. They let me go and didnt charge for the ”missing” rags aka towels but asked me to pay P100 for the supposedly additional towels. Which I later realised I shouldn't have paid since there should have been 2 complimentary towels in the first place which they missed to put in the room. The smell on the elevator is bad even in the room. Floor feels sticky and we saw a cockroach crawling around. Corridors are dark and some tiles were dislodged and uneven, we tripped a few times. Toilet bowl does not have a seat cover. Too bad I didn't take pictures. Better stay somewhere else. I should have read reviews from Tripadvisor and booked somewhere else. I relied on Agoda reviews which showed only the positive reviews hence ended up booking in this hotel.From$25

However the current rating as seen on Tripadvisor is to high. Same like many other places, local people just rate according their feelings and not what the real offers are. My partner and I have been staying in this hotel for some time already. We are spending almost 5 days every week since November.
Here is my review for them.
Location is very accessible to public transportation. Lot’s of places to eat nearby. Convenience store is just few steps from the hotel.
Staffs are friendly and will greet you every time.
Everything is nice and good, however, they do not do room service. I mean, we stayed there for a week, but not even once did they clean or even broom the floor. We even requested it but they said that they dont do room cleaning. They will simply give you fresh towels and bed sheets and blanket. They will collect your garbages. You will just have to put it outside your door.
Room is not as good as in the pictures. Sometimes the light bulbs are not working. No exhaust in the comfort room. You can also have a room with clogged sink and shower drain. You have to wait for another 15-20 mins before another person can take a shower without getting his feet soaked. But hey, good thing they got hot shower. Haha.
Cable and internet connection is very unpredictable. One day you’re internet is good and then sometimes no connection at all. Same with the cable.
Despite of all this, we keep coming back simply because of the hotel’s accessibility and convenience. Also, they have cheaper rates as compared to the nearby hotels.From$13

My partner and I with our pet dog (shih tzu) tried to book a stay in this hotel as a walk-in guests. During that time it’s already past midnight, we already asked a couple of hotels around the area but unluckily most of them are fully booked or a hotel for quarantine only. We have no where to sleep, we’re both tired and out of gas during that time. Until we reached Subic Bay Peninsula, the concierge told us that they still have a slot for us but they don’t allow pet in thier hotel. We politely asked if she could ask her manager or anyone who’s in-charge for a consideration so that we could atleast just spend a night with our pet. She refused and with a heavy heart we left. It made us upset that she didn’t even made an extra effort to reach her superior just to ask for our request. We end up sleeping inside our car. I will not recommend this hotel to my family and friends because aside from their inconsiderate staff and most of all it’s not a pet friendy hotel. To the consierge lady who refused us, I hope you wont be in our same situation and please have some manners especially with your guest.From$66

It is a cheap hotel facing the beach of Subic. When I booked an extremely cheap room, there was no air conditioner, but I lent a fan. It was a stay in March, but it was cool at night, so I was able to sleep without problems with the fan. The first floor was directly facing the beach and was a very cozy space, but on Sunday, people who seemed to be local were having a party with a rental, and it was difficult to spend a leisurely time.

This time, I had the opportunity to avail of an overnight stay at Subic Bay Travelers Hotel and Event Center in SBMA. My host office organized an event at the same hotel. I had the privilege of using a two-bed room. The room was good and well lighted. The comfort room is stylish. The floor of the hallway outside the room is carpeted. The food of the hotel was great. The organizer requested for Filipino viands that is why I loved the food. My overnight stay in this facility is good and worth repeating.From$69

The location is a few minutes walk to SM Olongapo. The hotel is clean and the room is airconditioned and fully furnished. Mini fridge and deposit box for valuables included. For the price of Php 1073.00 overnight stay, that's quite bang for the buck. Considering a nearby hotel try to charge us Php 1200.00 for a room with just a fan.The staff are courteous. And the ambiance is quite impressive. Its full of plants. Lots of plants. Instagrammable indeed. It has resto below, and a view deck above. Wifi connection is strong too. There is just one funny incident though. Upon check out they are charging us for 2 cans of coke. Which we did not drink or took at all, since convenience store abound in the area thus we bought all the food and drinks outside. We don't know if its just an honest mistake or no. We will let that slide and will definitely back though.From$33

I'd admit 3 hotel staff members were welcoming and helpful in fulfilling my inquiries/requests. Then again one or possibly two other unnamed staff members were either rudely inconvenienced by the presence of us hotel guests with appeared to be a trickle of an attitude. If they don't like the job, then why must they be somewhat retained by the hotel's employer? It would also benefit the hotel to post in each room copies of the Jewel Cafe & Restaurants' menus for us guests who crave food daily, since the restaurant is just steps away from the sleep & stay. Otherwise my accomodation was satisfactory with plenty of stores, bars and outdoor food vendors along the national roadway.From$22

We just completed our 8 nights stay at Chequers suites. The crew was accomodating and very approachable even having a lack of manpower. There was a typhoon during our stay and the staff served us professionally. However, the hotel owners should consider to establish additional manpower to accomodate each position required to uplift the standard of the hotel. Each crew presently working in the hotel are doing their absolute best to fill in those missing spots and maintain the standards of the hotel. Everything in chequers is close to excellent but they need to improve in few areas. See details below. Security: during our stay we did not see any security personnel posted atleast in the front door or roving around. They also have a basement parking which is great, but again no security posted in the area. Housekeeping and Reception Staff: manpower is a vital aspect of maintaining a good quality service of a service provider bussiness. Understandable that during our stay there is a typhoon, but having extra manpower to take care of the needs of the clients in the hotel is vital. Sea view balcony and entrance hallway: during the heavy rain and strong winds water was accumulated which created hazard to the occupants. Also, water entered the room from the strong wind and rain through the sliding door (easy fix) Other than that, the hotel is still new and still tons of room to grow to become one of the best hotel in Subic.From$98

A week ago, I booked a ”superior Deluxe” room with bathtub, for our 8th couple Anniversary, as I wanted to treat my wife for this occasion. As she was around and I couldn't speak, I immediately confirmed by e-mail, requesting (with a supplement) some flowers and chocolates. First my request was denied for ”short notice” ! Like you need over 2 days to pick a flew flowers and buy some chocolates... Upon arrival, we had to pay the total amount, 18'000 peso, in advance ! Now I understand why... The first room did not have a bathtub, so I demanded that my booking to be fulfilled ! Then we were brought to the one with a bathtub... For the whole week-end we didn't have any warm water, so no bathtub, no shower ! The room was filthy... I ate a cookie on saturday afternoon, the crumbs were still on the nightstand when we left on monday ! The room 581 ”Superior Deluxe” is totally run down, just check the pictures !!! Stains everywhere on the walls, dirty windows, loose electric wires hanging in front of windows... Cobwebs on the Shower ceiling... And the bathtub... Probably some antiques from the 19th century when you see this piece of work (pictures to prove...). If you like geology, you will enjoy that room, as you also havbe a wonderful ”fault line” going across the room ! Now the restaurant... Many dishes are ”unavailable” even simple hashbrowns !!! What's left is totally overpriced and the crew prefers to sit and make jokes about the customers (bad luck, my wife is pinay and understood the whole lot...) ! So all in all ? A week-end in Hell at the price of a very good hotel in Manila... Just stay away !From$42

I my family and I rented three rooms here in December 2022. Two rooms with a king size bed and one room with two queen size beds. All rooms had spectacular views from their private balconies. The Wi-Fi connection was not strong in one of our rooms but the staff promptly moved us into a new room. We especially enjoyed how the hotel offers massages in the room. The beach was rocky but the view was unbeatable. The breakfast in the morning was great and cost friendly and the dinner in the evening was even more cost friendly and so tasty. We can’t wait to return here during our next trip to Subic!From$85

The resort is right on the beach. The pool is a little small but the bar is right next to it. Staff are very friendly and helpful. My room was rundown though. Shower was weak and the drain was blocked. Bed sheets were clean. Would recommend if you're travelling on the cheap From$36

This hotel was simple but cute, with small but attractive rooms. The beds were very comfortable. Rooms with a balcony are better as those without feel a bit stuffy. The pool is not as big as the photo makes it look. There is no restaurant so they gave us breakfast vouchers at a small restaurant next door. The food here was all right but repetitive over a few days. The hotel is within walking distance to some good restaurants so this was an advantage. I liked the quietness of the location.From$72
