It was my birthday on the 22nd of July and I decided to give myself a solo treat at Voyager. My experience was really amazing. -I checked in earlier than the allowed time, yet I was received so well and luckily allocated a room earlier. -The highlight of my stay: My bf planned a surprise for me from far and the organisation of the same was top notch, Amina did an amazing job at the planning, she did it so joyfully and passionately. The dancers who presented the cake really went out of their way to help present the surprise, proper HD photos were taken and shared. My bf was updated so often, and they ensured that I am so comfortable and happy throughout that day. I later came to meet Amina and she was so eager to tell me how excited she was to plan and surprise me. She is such a gem: Voyager, your staff are very professional and lovely. They most certainly made my stay worth every penny. -Having three swimming pools also makes one able to get the different experiences at the different locations, there are activities in the pool at any time of the day and so one is guaranteed there is no dull moments in the pool, it's all exciting and fun. -Food: There was such a wide variety and each of them were top notch in terms of flavor. -Drinks: The unending supply of drinks makes it really worthwhile. Views: being a beach front, you will not be disappointed, serene views that are very calming and soothing from the fast life of Nairobi. -I was also not rushed during check out yet I checked out late. -I am grateful for the experience Voyager gave me on my bday. 🥳

Good as a base, but ”all-inclusive” fell short Overall, we had a decent stay, but the experience felt quite restrictive—particularly due to the small swimming pool. This hotel is probably best booked as a bed and breakfast to use as a base for exploring Mombasa. While the food itself was okay, the ”all-inclusive” package did not live up to expectations. Instead of the promised buffet for lunch and dinner, we were restricted to a set menu with very limited options, where we could only select one item per course. Management explained this was due to low occupancy and avoiding food waste, which is understandable, but this should have been made clear to us before booking. On a positive note, the staff did allow us to have our meals delivered to our room. However, we only found out this was an option during our very last meal.

My order includes the dinner on the day of the check-in and the next-day brunch. The dinner is good. The breakfast was not eaten. Let's talk about lunch. The hotel check-in time starts at 13:00 and the check-out time is 10:00 the next day. My lunch. Just being ”corrupted”, is there a refund? The hotel environment is good, swimming in the yard, monkeys, lizards, all kinds of birds... very close to the beach, very pleasant at night. The service is not bad. It is not allowed to wear shorts for dining, and to change the trousers for the room. It is understandable to be gentlemanly. In the morning, you can see the sunrise of the Indian Ocean, praise one! The room is full of British plugs, only the bathroom has a two-hole Chinese plug, it is recommended to bring your own conversion plug.

The buffet was much better than other hotels we stayed at, but not nearly as lavish as in previous years; it was generally suitable for Chinese palates. The hotel is well-suited for families with children, with multiple swimming pools suitable for kids of all ages, but the beach is unsuitable for swimming as it's mostly coral reefs. The staff were very friendly, and I would choose this hotel again if needed in the future.

PrideInn hotel is cozy, with a very attentive and good service. Rooms are small, but clean and cozy. The swimming pool is excellent, and I recommend including the breakfast in your accommodation arrangement. It offers a good quality for the price. The room had a safe for keeping important items, tunable air conditioning and a large ceiling ventilator. The only potential drawback is the TV, that served more like a decoration, because it was not connected to any channel or youtube. Otherwise, the WiFi internet connectivity operated very well, even outside by the pool. The location is within walking distance from the beach and from a local mall. Overall, a pleasant experience, and I would return there.

I enjoyed my stay at the hotel. Excellent location and very friendly staff. The food was also so delicious. I checked in on my birthday and I happened to mention while checking it at the from desk. The hotel was kind enough to surprise me with cake at dinner. That absolutely made my day. Forever grateful for that . The only issue was that there was a lot of furniture in the room making it cramped up yet it was a spacious room . The hotel can also improve on cleanliness in unseen places such as under the beds and tables. Other than that, I highly recommend the hotel their rates are pretty reasonable and there’s value for money.

Room cleaning is good, there is preparation of the room for sleep. We asked for late departure, in 17-00, because of the flight delay. We were free to extend our stay and gave another room, with ocean view, and helped carry things. Like a pool very much, good depth up to 2.2m. The area of the hotel is very tidy and green, everything is flowering. There are wild monkeys, their guards are chasing out of the horn))

The Cocoa Boutique is a hotel with a lot of potential. The rooms are clean and very spacious but the decor is old and in need of renovation. The location is excellent, right on the beach with great ocean views. The staff can not do enough for you especially the ladies on Reception! The pool itself is lovely and clean however the few sun loungers available are in need of replacement and there is very little shade. The food from the restaurant was very good and freshly cooked. We were late arriving and they stayed to ensure we had our evening meal. On another night we informed them we would not be back in time for dinner so they sent us the menu by What’s App and kept food for us on our return. We had a lovely stay at Cocoa Boutique but it would have been even better had the decor been brought up to standard.

The first impression one gets is that one is arriving in a ”dark” and dangerous area but it seems this is an area that is gentrifying and is very safe. The apartment complex itself was surprsingly modern, clean, well look after and well equipped for the comfort of those coming in for short or long stays. It's important to specifically mention one element that makes this place work so well and stay so well kept, the lady who met us and took care of the administrative stuff, Joanna, is an absolute GEM! She may look like just a simple caretaker but she made all the difference for us. She was pleasant, welcoming, supportive and ready to assist at the drop of a hat. She is efefctively doing the work of a ”Hotel Manager”, because she does the hard work of cleaning, overseeing maintenance, laundry, etc and yet, she is effectively the facilities Public Relations Officer and handles the administrative aspects. So, I hope her employers recognise what a great employee they have and compensate her accordingly. One suggestion for the owners, they have really fantastic thick towels but a simple trick I use in my own house is to buy a simple electric dryer, not to dry the laundry but, once the towels have been dried in the sun, run them through the dryer at moderate to high heat for 15-20 minutes and they'll be mice, soft and fluffy, otherwise, after a few washes, they start getting a little scratchy and rough on the skin. It was a truly pleasantly suprising comfortable stay.

Room cleaning is good, there is preparation of the room for sleep. We asked for late departure, in 17-00, because of the flight delay. We were free to extend our stay and gave another room, with ocean view, and helped carry things. Like a pool very much, good depth up to 2.2m. My order includes the dinner on the day of the check-in and the next-day brunch. The dinner is good. The breakfast was not eaten. Let's talk about lunch. The hotel check-in time starts at 13:00 and the check-out time is 10:00 the next day. My lunch. Just being ”corrupted”, is there a refund? The hotel environment is good, swimming in the yard, monkeys, lizards, all kinds of birds... very close to the beach, very pleasant at night. The service is not bad. It is not allowed to wear shorts for dining, and to change the trousers for the room. It is understandable to be gentlemanly. In the morning, you can see the sunrise of the Indian Ocean, praise one! The room is full of British plugs, only the bathroom has a two-hole Chinese plug, it is recommended to bring your own conversion plug.

We had a wonderful stay at Pride Inn Flamingo resort. I called the day of my stay for a pickup by their driver and was met a few hours later as I left the baggage pickup at Mombasa airport, by a smiling face holding a sign with my name. The drive to the resort was long. It was equally long on the return. But we were met by a cool drink and wet towel to refresh. The room wasn't ready yet so we had lunch first as they took care of our bags. Lunch, as was all of their meals was plentiful and had a large variety so even my picky eater husband could find plenty to satisfy. We aren't drinkers but drinks both alcohol and non were included in the all-inclusiveness. The room was great spacious and spotless. The shower was cool and because of the heat I didn't even notice. When I had trouble with the safe a call to the desk brought security to o fix it immediately. I must mention that both I and my husband had a massage and it was a don't miss item. I am a former massage therapist and believe me when I say this is worth every penny indulge yourself it's wonderful and I had manicure (my first) which still looks great a week later! This was the perfect way to end my Kenyan safari vacation.

It was my birthday on the 22nd of July and I decided to give myself a solo treat at Voyager. My experience was really amazing. -I checked in earlier than the allowed time, yet I was received so well and luckily allocated a room earlier. -The highlight of my stay: My bf planned a surprise for me from far and the organisation of the same was top notch, Amina did an amazing job at the planning, she did it so joyfully and passionately. The dancers who presented the cake really went out of their way to help present the surprise, proper HD photos were taken and shared. My bf was updated so often, and they ensured that I am so comfortable and happy throughout that day. I later came to meet Amina and she was so eager to tell me how excited she was to plan and surprise me. She is such a gem: Voyager, your staff are very professional and lovely. They most certainly made my stay worth every penny. -Having three swimming pools also makes one able to get the different experiences at the different locations, there are activities in the pool at any time of the day and so one is guaranteed there is no dull moments in the pool, it's all exciting and fun. -Food: There was such a wide variety and each of them were top notch in terms of flavor. -Drinks: The unending supply of drinks makes it really worthwhile. Views: being a beach front, you will not be disappointed, serene views that are very calming and soothing from the fast life of Nairobi. -I was also not rushed during check out yet I checked out late. -I am grateful for the experience Voyager gave me on my bday. 🥳

Good as a base, but ”all-inclusive” fell short Overall, we had a decent stay, but the experience felt quite restrictive—particularly due to the small swimming pool. This hotel is probably best booked as a bed and breakfast to use as a base for exploring Mombasa. While the food itself was okay, the ”all-inclusive” package did not live up to expectations. Instead of the promised buffet for lunch and dinner, we were restricted to a set menu with very limited options, where we could only select one item per course. Management explained this was due to low occupancy and avoiding food waste, which is understandable, but this should have been made clear to us before booking. On a positive note, the staff did allow us to have our meals delivered to our room. However, we only found out this was an option during our very last meal.

The room was OK, but there were some bugs and ants. I only gave a bad review for the room card. The air conditioner was out of power and could not work. It was very hot every day when I walked in from outside. The hotel is directly connected to the public beach, which is quite convenient. You can go to the beach at any time.

PrideInn hotel is cozy, with a very attentive and good service. Rooms are small, but clean and cozy. The swimming pool is excellent, and I recommend including the breakfast in your accommodation arrangement. It offers a good quality for the price. The room had a safe for keeping important items, tunable air conditioning and a large ceiling ventilator. The only potential drawback is the TV, that served more like a decoration, because it was not connected to any channel or youtube. Otherwise, the WiFi internet connectivity operated very well, even outside by the pool. The location is within walking distance from the beach and from a local mall. Overall, a pleasant experience, and I would return there.
