I still remember how bustling the Beijing Scitech Plaza was ten years ago. Years later, when I returned, everything had changed. I booked this hotel for my father's medical appointment. It was excellent, and the front desk staff were very warm and welcoming. The room was spacious, clean, and bright, and the air conditioning worked perfectly. I was pleasantly surprised by the thoughtful service, especially the fresh-ground coffee – a perfect pick-me-up when I had an early start. The breakfast was decent too. Most importantly, it's incredibly convenient for Luhe Hospital, just across the road. I'll definitely stay here again for his follow-up appointments.

I really wasn't going to leave a bad review, but I'm truly fed up. The water in the shower area of the bathroom wouldn't drain, so we couldn't shower, and it was full of standing water. My child was barefoot in it yesterday, and now her feet have started itching tonight – both of them! She couldn't sleep because of the itching and kept fussing. It's past 1 AM, and I'm still scratching them for her. Looks like we won't be going to any scenic spots tomorrow; I'll have to take her to a dermatologist. Objectively, the staff here are all very good, providing attentive and warm service. The room looked neat and clean at first glance, but that's where it ends. The pillows, they literally shimmered under the light – I was speechless and regretted not bringing disposable sheets. Around 5 AM, I got up to use the bathroom. I turned on the light, but it didn't work. I went back to the bedside to turn on the light there, and when I went back to the bathroom, the door wouldn't open. After finally getting it open, as soon as I stepped in and closed the door, the bathroom light automatically turned off. When I opened the door again, it automatically turned back on. It kept switching off and on repeatedly. After I came out of the bathroom, the sink light also seemed to be motion-activated; it would dim, then light up again when I got close. What on earth? The main light switch isn't by the entrance; it's by the bed. It didn't bother me before sleeping, but when I woke up in the middle of the night, that display screen wouldn't turn off and was glaring. Plus, one side of the room lights kept flickering, and then there was the bathroom experience. I was utterly speechless. The operation is so complicated; several lights are linked together, so if you try to turn off the bedside spotlight, all the lights end up turning off.

Traveling alone with a child, what I dread most is carrying lots of bags while holding a sleeping baby, looking so dishevelled that I don't even have a free hand to wipe my sweat. Yesterday evening, when I arrived at the hotel, Chen Shuo, one of the front desk staff, immediately came out to help me with my luggage without a word. He even lowered his voice and said, “You hold the baby, I'll take care of the luggage.” Then another front desk staff, Xiang Ke, quickly poured me a glass of water and processed my check-in. Chen Shuo helped me take the luggage to my room and settled everything. He softly left with a remark, “The baby is sleeping soundly. Sister, you should get some rest too. Feel free to call the front desk anytime if you need anything, we are always here.” Then he gently closed the door. At that moment, my eyes welled up. The best service isn't about being fancy; it's about the warmth of feeling seen and supported. I want to give a special shout-out to Chen Shuo and Xiang Ke. Thank you for letting me not have to be a 'strong mom' that night!

When I went to Yanqing during the National Day holiday, I chose the City Garden Hotel. This hotel is definitely excellent value for money. It's very close to the main dining and shopping areas, and not far from various attractions. Parking in the courtyard is very convenient. The service, environment, dining, and facilities are all quite satisfactory, fully meeting the expected standards. Especially the service – the front desk staff and housekeeping staff were all very enthusiastic and accommodating. The front desk even gave us a welcome gift when we checked in, which was a very thoughtful touch. I've already recommended it to my friends, and it will be my first choice of place to stay next time I visit Yanqing.

The hotel boasts an elegant environment, making you feel like you have an entire mountain to yourself. Built into the hillside, the two-bedroom suite we booked this time was located mid-mountain. The hotel community has complete facilities, and the main entrance is fenced off with a gate, so the security is reassuring and makes you feel very safe. The shuttle service uses Voyah commercial vans, which are super comfortable! The staff helped with our luggage, which was very thoughtful and attentive. It's about 10 kilometers from Badaling Great Wall, and Shuiguan Great Wall is nearby and not crowded. Juyongguan Great Wall is also conveniently located on the way to Beijing South Station, so we stopped by, making our trip even more rich and fulfilling.

Pros: 1. The hotel is nestled halfway up the mountain, offering fresh air and truly beautiful surroundings. It's a peaceful escape from the city's hustle and bustle, and the hotel's decor and maintenance are quite good. Our butler, Bella, was incredibly meticulous and thoughtful, taking care of every little detail. She met all our needs, making our stay exceptionally comfortable. 2. There's a wide array of facilities and activities, including a mountainside hot spring, indoor pool, Hatha yoga, singing bowl therapy, a gym, and a kids' club. It's perfect for families, and the kids' club is large and newly renovated – it just reopened in May. It's definitely more fun than the kids' clubs at other hotels I've visited. Plus, children aged 4 and up can be supervised for free, which made my little one super happy! 3. The room key card came with a park map, showing hiking trails. There's an easy 5-kilometer mountain boardwalk, perfect for families, where you can visit the Eight Planets viewing platforms. 4. The breakfast was impressive! They had steaks, lamb chops, and a rich variety of both Chinese and Western dishes. However, the cured meats were generally a bit too salty. Cons: 1. For a 5-star hotel, there was no safe in the room. 2. While there's an abundance of kids' activities, most of them come with a fee. 3. Since the kids' club was newly renovated, the smell was quite strong, making my eyes and throat uncomfortable. Overall, we were still very satisfied. I imagine it would be even more atmospheric to visit in winter for the hot springs, though I expect it would be extremely crowded.

The room was very clean, with a good separation of wet and dry areas, and all amenities were well-stocked. The bed was soft and comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. The soundproofing was excellent, allowing for peaceful rest after a dip in the hot springs. Check-in was fast, and the staff were gentle and patient. The hotel's facilities are truly impressive. My child loved the Blue Parrot Land and the water park so much they didn't want to leave. There's also a kids' club, which offered a brief respite for us parents. The hotel's size and room spaciousness would be perfectly acceptable for a five-star hotel. The receptionist at check-in was friendly and clearly an experienced staff member. However, the details fall far short of what you'd expect from a five-star establishment. At 1439 RMB, the value for money is extremely poor. There were obvious sticky marks on the bedside table, and the room didn't even have simple coffee, let alone a mini-bar – the fridge was just wasting electricity. The tea bags looked worse than those you'd find in a budget hotel. The toilet paper was incredibly thin, the toilet wasn't smart, and the carpet looked faded. The floor tiles right inside the bathroom door were loose, creaking with every step I took. What I found most outrageous were the slippers; they were such poor quality that they started falling apart after just a few hours of wear, and the soles were so thin it felt like walking barefoot. They've really cut corners too much here; I've never encountered anything like it. The breakfast dishes were unremarkable and very ordinary. Overall, I've never stayed at a five-star hotel with such a bad experience.

We had three king-size rooms, and 1119 had the best view, overlooking the lake from the balcony, with a beautiful sunrise in the morning. The room directly opposite could see the golf course behind, which was great for sunset views. The bathroom and bathtub are in separate spaces opposite each other, designed with two sinks for simultaneous use. The front desk is on the second floor, and the connecting corridor to the hot spring ♨️ is also on the same floor, though it's a bit of a walk. The buffet restaurant is on the first floor. Taking advantage of the weather before it gets too cold, I came here after work for a relaxing hot spring soak ♨️. The Muyun Hot Spring is not far from the guest rooms. Although it's not a natural hot spring, both its size and the number of pools exceeded my expectations. There are also special pools like herbal baths and flower baths, perfect for unwinding and relieving fatigue. The deluxe king room was spacious and clean 🛏️, with all the basic amenities. The bedding was also very comfortable. The accompanying swimming pool 🏊🏻♂️ had just been maintained, so the water was exceptionally clear. The only downside is that its 15-meter length felt a bit cramped. The hotel's only restaurant is quite large. The breakfast 🍳 variety and taste were decent, meeting average standards, and the small wontons at the noodle stall were delicious. Overall, it was good. However, on the day of my arrival, due to traffic, I was already quite late, tired, and hungry. When checking in, I had to wait an extra amount of time because of insufficient staff at the front desk. Then, upon going to the restaurant, I was told it was already closed, despite being advertised as open until 11 PM – there was a discrepancy. Fortunately, the free snacks in the hot spring area and the unmanned convenience store in the lobby somewhat compensated. For hot food, I had to order delivery 🥡. Perhaps for cost considerations, and given that the main clientele are families with children who have a more regular routine, but as a resort hotel, I suggest optimizing and adjusting this for a better experience.

Pros: 1. The hotel is conveniently located near the entrance to Simatai Great Wall. It's easy to access the Wall for hiking, and you can also enjoy views of it from the second floor of the room. The Wall is visible in the distance from the window, making it a secluded retreat away from the hustle and bustle. 2. The hotel offers excellent service. Housekeeping is prompt, and the staff are attentive and welcoming. 3. The duplex suite A is very spacious, perfect for families with elderly members and children. Kids, especially, will love rolling and crawling on the tatami mat. 4. Slippers and bath towels are replaced daily, and complimentary fruit is provided every day. 5. After checking out, I left my headphones in the room. The hotel proactively contacted me and arranged for them to be couriered to me, which I truly appreciate. Cons: 1. The room is very inconvenient for elderly guests with mobility issues. The main bed is on the second floor, making it difficult for them to go up and down. The first floor has a tatami mat, which makes it hard for elderly guests to get up and lie down. If they need to get up at night, they would definitely need assistance. 2. While the room is large, whether the Japanese wabi-sabi style truly suits Chinese guests, especially for a hotel charging 5,000 yuan per night, is a question that needs consideration. The wabi-sabi aesthetic often translates to very sparse furnishings: no comfortable sofas, no bedside tables, no bedside lamps, and certainly no central control panel for all lights and appliances. The tatami mat essentially means sleeping on the floor with a low table, making it very inconvenient and challenging to get up, sit down, or place and retrieve items, which clashes with Chinese living habits. 3. The private hot spring bath in the room only has one switch for hot water, making it impossible to adjust the temperature. Its size is also awkward; it's fine for one person, but feels cramped for two. For a room type designed for six people, such a small bath is quite inconvenient. Furthermore, the inner wall of the bath is made of solid wood, raising concerns about hygiene. 4. The smart toilet was broken and remained unrepaired even after reporting it. 5. The two bedrooms on the second floor, designed to accommodate at least four people, share a single small bathroom, which is a very impractical design. Additionally, the entire Gubei Water Town is not suitable for elderly visitors with mobility issues, especially those in wheelchairs. The flagstone paths are very uneven, and there are many steps, which would make a wheelchair ride extremely bumpy and uncomfortable.

We had a very comfortable stay at Manxin Hotel Beijing Tiananmen Wangfujing (北京天安门王府井漫心酒店). The location is probably its biggest selling point — Wangfujing is just a short walk away, with all the major malls, restaurants and shops nearby. Peking Chamber is also just beside the hotel, which is very convenient. Our room was modern, clean and comfortable. It wasn’t particularly large, but the space was well designed and had everything we needed, including a smart toilet, separate shower, mini fridge and complimentary drinks. Breakfast was included in our stay, and the hotel also has a gym and complimentary self-service laundry facilities. There are two washing machines and two dryers, so they are shared on a first-come, first-served basis and can get busy. Overall, a really convenient hotel for exploring Beijing. We especially loved being able to walk to Wangfujing and the surrounding malls, then easily return to the hotel to rest before heading out again. Would happily stay here again!

The room was super spacious, and the floor-to-ceiling window offered an unparalleled city skyline view, with the CCTV Headquarters (the 'big trousers') and China Zun tower side-by-side. That feeling of having the imperial capital at your feet instantly made the room rate worthwhile! I must particularly praise the Kerry Club Lounge on the 18th floor! It was truly the highlight of my entire stay! The service from Ms. Lucy, Clara, and Seanna was simply delightful, making me feel incredibly welcome. The lounge's food, whether afternoon tea or evening happy hour, offered such a vast variety that it was hard to choose. The breakfast at 'Jia Pin Restaurant' on the morning of the 26th absolutely won me over—there were 7 ways to prepare eggs alone, plus fresh grapefruit. These kinds of details are truly a huge plus! Although I know this hotel is a representative of the 'old money' opened in 1999, the facilities are incredibly well-maintained. That sense of profound grandeur, refined by the passage of time, is a quality new hotels simply cannot replicate. The gym and heated swimming pool are top-tier for hotels in China, with huge spaces and comprehensive equipment. Even just a swim feels like a luxury. My two-day journey in the heart of luxury left me wanting more. Not only is the location unbeatable, but the service and dining are also exceptional! This is definitely the most 'aristocratic' hotel I've stayed at in Beijing, second to none! ♥️

A surprisingly wonderful trip! I arrived at the hotel late at night, feeling exhausted. The gentleman at the front desk, wearing glasses, was incredibly professional and efficient. He quickly checked me in and even upgraded my room. He thoughtfully provided extra bottled water, which really shows how well-trained the hotel staff are. The room was spacious and bright, making for a very comfortable stay. The hotel's location is fantastic! During my stay, I visited Sanlitun, Liangma River, and Solana, not only enjoying delicious food but also experiencing the unique atmosphere of the embassy district. I'll definitely stay here again if I have the chance!

Absolutely stunning hotel The hotel staff were incredibly helpful and the decor was absolutely stunning. It really does look just like the photos. Its also easy walking distance to Wangfujing shopping street, to multiple subway lines, and to the Forbidden City. Dozens of food options right across the street too, but also several in-house restaurants and room service. Our room was spotlessly clean, the air was fresh and clean, and the housekeeping cleaned up and replaced our towels and amenities daily. The gym was very well equipped with commercial gym standard equipment - it doesnt open til 7am though. The swimming pool area was also lovely though we were too busy exploring Beijing and never got a chance to swim in it! We would both, most definitely, stay with Legendale again and would thoroughly recommend to others, too. It was an absolute pleasure to stay there. We only wish we had stayed for a bit longer.

This stay at the Sofitel Jian Guo Men left me with a great overall impression. Before arriving, I communicated with the duty manager, Eli, letting him know it was our first stay and that it coincided with our anniversary. Upon check-in, he immediately upgraded us to an Executive Floor room and had it specially decorated. The attention to detail was exceptional, and we were incredibly impressed from the moment we arrived. The first impression upon entering was excellent. The lobby had incredibly high ceilings and a grand, bright decor, completely avoiding the oppressive feeling you sometimes get in older hotels. The layout of the Executive Room was also quite interesting; it wasn't just a generic square box. The space was well-utilized, making it feel much more spacious than I had imagined. The service overall was hassle-free. Whether it was dealing with the front desk or requesting room service, any issues were addressed very quickly, with no need for back-and-forth. In the evening, I specifically went to the bar on the basement level. The bartender, Pamper, was very amiable. She asked about my preferred tastes, and the cocktails she made were perfectly to my liking. Overall, it's a hotel with excellent value for money and well worth staying at.

Before booking, I read the negative reviews, which were mostly complaints about the service. After staying, I felt like this hotel was one giant obedience test. Upon entering the room, I noticed a strong smell from the air conditioning ducts. I picked up the phone and dialed 'one touch.' The operator transferred me to the front desk, who said they would get back to me shortly. 'Shortly' meant I had to call again to get any kind of answer. After changing rooms, the next day my room card stopped working. That's when I understood why there was a phone in the hallway. After calling, they said an auntie would come to help open the door. Ten minutes later, the auntie finally arrived. After opening the door, she said a concierge would bring a new room card later. Well, it never arrived within two hours. Eventually, when I went to pick up my takeout, I had to go to the front desk myself to get a new one. The tissues in the room ran out. The auntie replaced them with new ones, but just left the new pack on top of the tissue box instead of putting them inside. I don't understand that. There was a short black hair in the bathtub... The mini-bar was completely empty on the first night, possibly due to the room change. At breakfast, I opened a Chinese steamed dim sum, and there was a black hair inside... Breakfast ended at 10:30 AM, and many guests came at 10:35 AM to get coffee, but it was all gone...

When we arrived at this hotel, I hadn't even realized it was the one I booked until we pulled in front of the lobby. It was so nice I was amazed that it was ours for what we paid. Incredibly stunning interior and exterior. The rooms and service live up to the standard as well. Absolutely perfect stay in the northeast corner of Beijing and I do believe we will come back to stay here next time. The attendants at the front desk were incredibly helpful, especially the one guy who helped me order on dianping and put together a porridge the Beijing way. The gym was the best I've ever seen in a hotel. Stacked with equipment for strength training with a separate room for martial arts training. It was like having a commercial gym as part of your hotel stay for free. Genuinely one of my most pleasant stays in a long time!

Room: This time I stayed in room 2007. Last time, my friend and I stayed in 1008. The difference is that 2007 has a king-sized bed, while 1008 has twin beds. The twin room has a very hard yellow sofa by the window, whereas the king-sized bed room has a desk. So, if you want a better experience enjoying the Third Ring Road from the window, you might prefer the twin room. 35 Tang (restaurant): I was quite surprised. Honestly, I've stayed in many hotels in Beijing, but 35 Tang is truly unique in how its breakfast incorporates Beijing characteristics. And the food tastes good too. So, when booking, you might want to add breakfast. Plus, there are many tables with views of the 'Big Trousers' (CCTV Headquarters), which is really pleasant. Gym: The 0.5 deduction in facilities is actually for 'Refinery'. I used to work nearby and had a membership at Refinery. However, during this stay, I noticed that the floor maintenance was really poor, including the equipment. But everything else, from the view to the changing rooms, is actually quite good. Parking: You need to park at China World Mall, it's 10 yuan/hour with no cap. If you have a China World membership, you can drive out and circle around when your time is up, then re-enter to restart the billing. This can save you some money. Overall: China World Summit Wing is a hotel with excellent value for money and an extremely satisfying experience!

The only area for improvement would be paying a little more attention to the finer details when preparing and servicing the rooms. We didn’t have a towel for our child, and this wasn’t replenished the following day. The minibar and bathroom amenities were also not fully restocked despite being included in our package. Similarly, at breakfast, the cutlery on the tables wasn’t always replenished, so we sometimes had to look for it ourselves. These small details make a big difference, particularly when paying a premium for the stay. Overall, we had a fantastic experience and would still happily give our stay 10/10. We’d definitely stay again and look forward to coming back!

For our Mid-Autumn Festival staycation with our 7-month-old baby, we chose the jungle-themed family room at the Kempinski Hotel Beijing Lufthansa Center. The room was full of childlike charm, and our baby was incredibly curious and captivated by everything. The hotel's lawn was also perfect for playing. The room was clean and hygienic, with a great view, directly overlooking the Liangma River. The staff were enthusiastic, interacting warmly with our baby, and even left small mooncakes during turn-down service. Location: The hotel is in Chaoyang District, and since most of the places I wanted to visit in Beijing this time were nearby, it was quite convenient to get around. Room Facilities: Although the hotel has been around for many years, it's an artistic hotel, and the more time passes, the more character it develops. Just like the artwork on the front desk's background wall says, 'The Rose of Time,' it made me think of Bei Dao's poem: 'When the brush draws the horizon, you are awakened by the gong of the East, and blooming in the echo is the rose of time…' Breakfast: Breakfast is served on the first floor at LIQA, a Turkish restaurant. I'm not sure if it's the same team that handles breakfast and regular meal times, but the main courses, desserts, and drinks for breakfast were all excellent 👍. Parking: To get from the parking lot to the guest rooms, you need to go to the first floor and then transfer to another elevator. There are plenty of parking spaces. Just remember to register your license plate number at the front desk; I paid almost 200 yuan the first day because I forgot. Service: Absolutely fantastic! We received welcome fruits, desserts, a card, and drinks. There was bottled water everywhere, unopened pens, and a whole toiletry bag of amenities. The disposable hotel slippers were exceptionally comfortable, which is a rare and pleasant surprise. Housekeeping was prompt but never intrusive. They even gave my daughter the room card as a souvenir. I heard the swimming pool and gym are excellent, but I didn't get a chance to experience them this time as I was traveling with my child. I'll definitely check them out next time, haha.

We contacted the hotel a day in advance, and they kindly prepared some dog supplies for us—even though we didn't end up using them, it was such a thoughtful touch. We were transiting from Yining through Beijing Capital International Airport and heading back to Taipei, China. We arrived at 2:30 AM and called the hotel; shortly after, the free shuttle arrived at Exit 5 of Terminal 3. The driver was steady behind the wheel and very polite. The check-in experience was wonderful. Noticing that we had mobility issues, the front desk staff proactively upgraded our room and arranged one close to the elevator. The actual room looked just like the photos on Trip.com—no filters or exaggeration. Although the room was near the elevator, we barely heard any noise from other guests or the elevator itself. It was very quiet, and we slept soundly. Several other thoughtful details left a deep impression on us: during check-in, the front desk proactively helped us schedule our airport drop-off time. If not for her reminder, we almost would have forgotten. Afterwards, a staff member proactively helped carry our carry-on luggage and escorted us to the room. Honestly, you rarely encounter such attentive service even at hotels three times the price. Forty minutes before our departure, the hotel even called to remind us, just in case we overslept—another major plus. At check-out, we received a small gift of steam eye masks. The shuttle ride back to the airport was smooth from start to finish, and the staff helped load our luggage. As we were leaving, two staff members stood like airport ground crew, waving goodbye as our shuttle drove away. For an expensive city like Beijing, getting this level of top-notch service at such a price point is incredible value for money. Every time we headed out for sightseeing, the staff proactively offered us bottled water. The hotel also organized some National Day celebration activities inside the hotel, so kids won't feel bored as the staff actively engage and play with them—they even gave away cute handmade hair clips! The hotel is very clean with a wonderful environment; the room smells fresh and is extremely comfortable. They also offer complimentary laundry and drying services. For dining in the evening, there are plenty of options within walking distance, including traditional Beijing yogurt and roast duck restaurants like Siji Minfu nearby. Getting a taxi is also very convenient.

The hotel is located right on Chang'an Avenue, and to the south is the former Beijing Railway Station, which is where I used to arrive by train when I visited Beijing as a child. During the National Day holiday, I stayed with my child in the Gu Du Chang Xi room type, specifically looking for a hotel with convenient transportation for a relaxing trip with the little one. Initially, I thought the entire hotel would have the standard, somewhat traditional decor of an old-school five-star hotel. However, I discovered there were newly renovated room types with full smart home control, so I decisively switched to one of those and was not disappointed. The smart devices made our stay quite hassle-free, and the frosted glass is electrically controlled, which was new and interesting to me. The room was on the 21st floor. I asked the staff, and they mentioned that floors 20-22, as well as 13-15, are also relatively new. Our west-facing room offered a direct view of the Forbidden City as soon as the curtains were drawn. On clear days without smog, we could even see the western mountains. From the moment we got out of the car, the concierge was very enthusiastic, helping with our luggage and introducing the lobby's facilities, including where to put food deliveries. Since we tend to sleep in late, we always requested a later cleaning time. My daughter strongly urged me to give a big shout-out to housekeeping staff member 021, whom we encountered frequently. They always greeted us with a smile, and their response to our requests was very prompt. Another housekeeping staff member, 011, also provided excellent service. The revolving restaurant on the 28th floor offers fantastic views. A friend visited, and we had afternoon tea there; you can practically see a panoramic view of Beijing, which was wonderful. I will definitely stay here again next time.

During the National Day holiday, I stayed with my child in the Gu Du Chang Xi room type, specifically looking for a hotel with convenient transportation for a relaxing trip with the little one. Initially, I thought the entire hotel would have the standard, somewhat traditional decor of an old-school five-star hotel. However, I discovered there were newly renovated room types with full smart home control, so I decisively switched to one of those and was not disappointed. The smart devices made our stay quite hassle-free, and the frosted glass is electrically controlled, which was new and interesting to me. The room was on the 21st floor. I asked the staff, and they mentioned that floors 20-22, as well as 13-15, are also relatively new. Our west-facing room offered a direct view of the Forbidden City as soon as the curtains were drawn. On clear days without smog, we could even see the western mountains. The location is super convenient, with all sorts of restaurants and convenience stores right outside. The lobby is quiet and elegant, not noisy at all. Apart from the renovation which we were told beforehand, the room we had was dark (probably because it was a windowless room), humid, aircon wasn’t strong but they provided a fan. Could smell urine even with the toilet seat covered, toilet door was closed, to a point that i was awaken by the foul smell. Had to spray perfume to have it barely covered. Ventilation was super bad. Cons aside, service was good, fridge in room had free drinks. Would recommend to book a window room if you had to even though friend that stayed in the window room said it was bad too. There’s a mall few minutes walk away which was a plus. Good view on the reception floor too.
