We had a great stay in Seda Davao. The location is very accessible since it's just about 20 minutes from the airport and the hotel is directly beside a mall. The staff were very courteous and approchable most especially their General Manager, Ms. Joy who welcomed us. The room was very clean and spacious, we had a good night's sleep for 2 straight nights. Special mention to Alexis of Front Office and Archie of concierge for making our stay worth remembering. The next time I visit Davao, I will definitely stay in Seda Abreeza. Daghang salamat!From$99

A little dated hotel, but centrally located in the centre of Davao and very friendly staff. There is wifi in the hotel, but at the 8th floor does not work that really There are 2 lifts, one of which does not work. Now these lifts are already dated and not really big, but this was an irritation point. At the time of our visit, there was a kind of barangay congress on the 9th floor, which resulted in we had to wait a long time until the lift arrived. There is a stairs, but clearly not intended for guests. However, a great place to stay 1 or 2 nights.From$45

Plus points: -Hotel atrium and ground floor were spacious and clean. I guess the hotel's view is to make a good first impression even if the other floors and the rooms are not as professional in appearance. -Breakfast - good choice of food -Location - close to shopping ,malls and banks -Bedroom was spacious -Maintenance staff responded quickly to fix issues (and there were issues) Negative points: -Not all the gym equipment worked. -The gym was hot and stuffy. The aircon was not on, and if you turned it on you would have to wait probably an hour before it cooled the room down to an adequate temperature to exercise at. -The pool was too small. It was more like a plunge pool rather than a pool you could swim in. -No ironing board and iron are provided in the room. Instead you have to pay someone else to iron your item of clothing, and of course they only work 9-5. Not an ideal service for the hotel to provide. -The aircon in the bedroom did not work, but once reported we were moved to a new room. -The shower door fell off its runners. Thankfully the maintenance staff responded quickly. Would I stay here again? If I had to, is the answer given the relatively low price, but I would search other places in Davao first, with a view to choosing one of these first.From$40

Crown Regency has dipped so low on their amenities. No hot water on the shower, TV not available when we checked into the room, noisy pipes when shower turns on, TV needs to be requested on front desk, TV has 1 channel only, no indoor slippers, broken shelves. But their front desk and staff were helpfull enough. We had early check in. 6 years ago I had buffet breakfast. But now breakfast was just ala carte. ・The pool is large and clean. Pools of this level may not exist in Davao.
・The quality of the room is also good.
・Breakfast is buffet style with many items.

・Breakfast drinks are stingy. If you're paying over 15,000 yen per night, don't dilute the mango or orange juice with water.

・Was breakfast until 10:00? Around 9:00, the ingredients for the buffet were not replenished. I thought this was stingy too.
・There may be many connecting rooms, but in connecting rooms, you can hear the voices of the next room.
・In the case of staying for the second time, it was room of connecting room. To a room that is not a connecting room because the family next door is noisy

The rooms were comfortable but I wanted to stay twenty days splitting ten online and ten with cash. He said the online was fine for 1260 pesos but the cash would be 2500 pesos a night and he was so arrogant. I only booked three days and walked down 200 meters to Orchard Hotel. They gave me the same price 1260 pesos book online or cash directly through them. They were super nice and the rooms were just as good as Red Planet. I booked seventeen days directly with them at the desk and I was exstremly happy. They also.said 1260 pesos all in price but charged me an extra 300 pesos per night when I used my debit card. If your looking for comfortable room at an honest price in my opinion please try Orchard Hotel First.From$24

We used to frequent at GoHotels (other branches) many years ago so I know that it’s a reputable hotel. But this time, COME ON. They renovated the exterior and lobby of GH Lanang to look new but the rooms are way too old. I paid 4,100+ for 2 nights and it was not worth it - TERRIBLE at that. I didn’t sleep well because of the room state and avoided using the toilet and shower as much as I could because just look at the photos and be the judge. Not only did it look bad, it also smelled bad. On my 2nd morning, I kindly requested for room service but the staff informed me that they only do room service on a guests’s 3rd day but I was only on a 3D2N stay so I figured I wasn’t qualified. I went on and requested that the CR at least be sprayed with air freshener because it was smelly (I literally told them it was smelly). They agreed this time so I expected it to have been done upon my return in the evening but unfortunately it wasn’t (still smelly when I arrived) and I didn’t bother to request again. There was no exhaust fan in the toilet - only a small window that didn’t help at all with the smell up to my last day. Note that there is no “main” CR door - only 2 separate glass doors, one for the toilet and one for the shower. So expect to smell your own poop in the entire because the doors would not hold off the smell for you, lol. You can see the sink from your bed because it was just… there. The only redeeming factor of that room was the duvet and 2 of the pillows (the pillow cases of the other 2 were old and cheap). Other small things I should note: in-room phone wasn’t working so I had to google the number and call the front desk from my mobile phone. I borrowed a flat iron and was quickly brought up to me (thank you, staff). I also requested for a towel change (just 1; there were 2) on my first night because the towels were giving off this weird smell. They quickly changed it (thank you again) but it smelled the same so maybe it was the detergent being used that smelled weird. I let it go. One of the bedside lamps had small stains that looked like blood, which freaked me out NGL. Look, I wasn’t expecting a luxurious stay. I’m a frequent traveller who even stays at smaller, unfamiliar hotels when on long trips to smaller and farther towns. But this was way too bad. I’ve stayed at many rooms like that of what I experienced with GH but I only paid 800-1,000/night so who am I to complain? With GoHotels, I expected more because it’s a Robinson’s property. Heck, Gokongwei group had an advertisement at the lobby so I expected a decent stay at bare minimum! With that experience, I will NEVER stay at ANY GoHotels again and will probably avoid Summit hotels too because it was being advertised at the lobby and I don’t wanna risk paying more money for another sub-par experience. It is pretty clear this hotel has been going on a downward spiral for quit sometime. The reason is because their front desk staff are rude and the manager doesn't care. Whenever you have a hotel like this, you know it's one of those situations where they are not happy with their pay. So they just run the hotel into the ground like Sir Domini the front desk manager. I spoke to this guy on the phone over a complaint and he kept saying sorry but it was obvious he didn't really care. His staff member (Siti) hung up on me 6 times!!! When i wanted to change the date of my booking, and she asked me to call Agoda (my booking agent). Even though i called Agoda i wanted to talk to the manager for a long term stay. She asked me why i wanted to speak to a manager and i told her it's private between me and the manager that's when she started hanging up. It's obvious to me that the manager is in on this type of activity because when i called him and got him on the phone finally he said he heard the conversation. So it's like...if you can hear, or heard the conversation why didn't you intervene right away? Or couldn't you reply to me by e-mail and apologize for your staff's rudely conduct??? So guys don't expect anything from this hotel. I would go as far as to say you are not safe here. With the non attentiveness and care for the guests needs, you can almost be sure you're going to have many problems. There are many hotels in Davao why put up with this garbage. I been coming here for 5 years but i will from go somewhere else from now on. They don't deserve my business or the business from good people. I spent a night here at Davao Royal Suites. The staff here were very accomodating. Beer was cheap and the place is close to a lot of transportation terminals. I stayed in Blue Lotus Hotel in July 2023 for one night, although I frequently visited their Sky View Restaurant. I had a great experience. The room was quite spacious, approximately 30 sq metres. The elevator is one of a kind where you do not need to touch it but simply use your RFID-enabled hotel keycard. I believe this was for sanitizing measures taken by the hotel management since the pandemic era. The room has qiblah direction on the ceiling, and they provide Muslim travellers with prayer mats as well as Holy Quran. Very thoughtful touch since none of the hotels in Davao City provide this in their room. The housekeeping staff were also attentive and it took less than 10 minutes for them to deliver the iron & board. The hotel has a Malaysian Chef, Chef Shah who cooks authentic Malaysian dishes like sate, murtabak, chicken curry, daging masak hitam and nasi beriani. From$51

Nice location. Near to Davao City Hall and San Pedro Church. Near to McDonald and 7/11 stores. Near public market and grocery stores. Amenities need to improve like need to provide doormat, hangers, hanger rack, and bathroom tissue. The WiFi connection is not so good on the 2nd floor. Staffs are friendly but need to be oriented more on public transportation like how to get to a certain place using public vehicles. In that way they can help more. Haven't tried their meals. Air conditioning is good. The bed is wide enough for two. The shower is hot and cold. The drainage in the bathroom is okay. SOLD OUT

The service at their hotel was exceptional. There was absolutely no issue that was not addressed timely and with satisfactory results. We were particulary impressed with how the hotel staff anticipated our needs. Numerous conference attendees commented on the quality of the food, the quality of the service and overall positive attitude toward the conference site. This 70 + year old hotel surely exceeded my expectations. The check-in process was straight forward and simple so I quickly found myself in my room. This room was nicely furnished and newly renovated with all the standard necessary amenities. Very comfortable king sized bed with very clean sheets and pillows. A couple of bedside light switches were broken though. The bathroom was very clean, with ample supply of towels and toiletries. The dinning area where a buffet is set up was cool, smelling good and no insects flying around. The staff was very helpful and accomodating. Very attentive service. Reasonable priced food both for the buffet and ala cart menu. Enjoyed the hotel's bar at night. The Blue Moon. Drinks and karaoke. There is no swimming pool. When we arrived at the hotel, we were greeted with a warm welcome. The front desk staff was very helpful and was always willing to assist us all the important information that we needed. Although there was no elevator at the hotel, they made sure our luggage was carried up by concierge.
We couldn’t enjoy a dip in the pool during our stay because they were cleaning it, but we got some nice photos taken there!
They even allowed us a slightly later ‘check out’ timing as we needed the additional rest time before our long journey to the village.
The food at the hotel’s restaurant was very satisfying and the service was pleasant too and we will definitely be back to stay there again. From$49

I stayed for 3 nights for about 2000 yen. As you write, I thought if I didn't ask for luxury, I would pass this price. Good point price, location in downtown center. Colonial architecture with an insta-fill courtyard pool, and stairs to insta-fill. Free breakfast with a degree of unselectable belly. You can watch CableTV on CRT TV. Good staff response. Bad point Amenities are only bath towels, bag rinse in shampoo, bag soap. No bathtub, safe, electric pot, toilet hand shower. Deluxe double has a refrigerator but fails. Pool that doesn't want to enter. No elevator (although I carried my luggage when I checked in). Wifi is good but slow. et cetera. I would like to compare other hotels or Airbnb at the same price next time I come to DVO.From$11

Very very good hotel, the location is in a residential area, so it is a bit difficult to find, but Google can navigate past it. The rooms are large, clean and sanitary, with complete facilities for cooking, and the quilt is not as trendy as other hotels, it feels like home.From$62

It was pretty decent for its price. Though, when I came in there, they've checked me in on a different room as the one that I've booked is not available. There is also a dog that was so noisy that I couldn't sleep. They've transferred me to my original room the day after. I've extended my stay here for a week and it's cool if you're on a budget. THE SITUATION We were on a budget and planned to stay for an entire week. We chose The Strand because the online information said it: 1) Was in the right location (near malls) 2) Fit our budget of less than 1000 pesos a night 3) Pictures showed it was clean and looked fairly new 4) Didn't have that motel vibe PROS: 1) Affordable -- less than 1000 a night, man. 2) Friendly, accommodating staff -- we had to change our booking because we were going to stay in another hotel after our first night in Davao, and then go back to The Strand on the third night. Of course, we gave this confirmation before the no cancellation deadline, but what I liked was that we didn't have to do any rebooking online. The staff arranged the modification for us. 3) Morning coffee and bread -- The booking.com information said that breakfast wasn't included. They actually serve one cup of coffee (Nescafe 3-in-1) and one piece of bread (stuffed pandesal) from 6am-10am. It's not a substitute for a proper breakfast, but it can stave off hunger while you're on your way to finding a restaurant or cafe. 4) New building -- It was built only 2 years ago 5) Clean -- Some dirt between the bathroom tiles but not a big deal CONS: 1) Steep & limited parking -- We cracked the car's front fender, and there were only two parking slots. Another option is street parking, but then won't be as secure. 2) No 24-hour pharmacies within walking distance -- I got sick and the hotel doesn't sell paracetamols either. Bring your own med kit if you plan to stay here. 3) No elevator -- They only have 4 levels, so not a big deal unless you're a PWD. Just request for a lower floor upon booking, NOT upon check-in. 4) No jeepney or bus stops nearby -- it's an 8-10 minute walk from the hotel to the nearest street with public transport. We suggest downloading the Grab application so that you can book a taxi anytime. Davao taxi drivers are nice :) 5) Saggy mattress OVERALL: Great for those who are no-frills travelers. The room was very basic, but spacious and clean (we booked a studio). However, next time we might stay somewhere else with better parking and closer to a convenience store or pharmacy. There were other minuscule inconveniences but at such a cheap price per night I was happy to just let them go.From$16

What i like about this hotel is its very near to the facility where my appointment is and its also not that expensive. The overall experience in this hotel was good. I only stayed for a night and checkout on the following morning. There's no free breakfast for online booking so i look for a carenderia outside the compound of the subdivision. Me and my friend had a few days stay in RedDoorz Plus near SM Lanang. It is very affordable and worth your money. It has a basic amenities (bed, private t&b, tv, acu, window, toiletries, small table). But it is enough for people who are looking for a place just to sleep and most of the time outside. The room is not that spacious. Location wise: very accessible for taxi and grab, very close to SM Lanang like you can walk going there Amenities nearby: restaurant on the ground floor, stores across & nearby, laundry shop a few meters away Staff is very accommodating and helpful.From$14

Yes the words in the title were carefully chosen since each one of them was truly earned. Let me walk you through my first impressions because they do matter. You're transported to a whole new world as soon as you enter the gates. Think Europe and even if you haven't been you'd sense it. Glitzy restaurants all along the courtyard like a thoughtfully appointed lady :-). The rooms are expansive by any standards. Furnishings are chique, furniture is cosy, beds are large, the television is a mammoth (60”) Sony. Verdant plants in wicker baskets, ceramic soap and shampoo dispensers, slip proof shower flooring and a large showerhead. The colour tones in the room complement the dark woodwork given it a very welcoming and earthy feel and the air conditioners work!!!Service is incredible and they're at your door within 1.5 minutes and there's absolutely nothing they won't do. If you ever visit Davao, The Bourke hotel is the only hotel you should ever consider. I've intentionally not added reviews of their restaurants because I want you to discover the treasures:-)From$87

I stayed here last October 2019 for 4 nights. I booked for a double room in this hotel, the space is just okay. It has a double bed, 1 side table, work table, flatscreen tv with some channels, hot and cold showers and towels and free toiletries (tissue and soap). Cleanliness ⭐️⭐️⭐️ (3/5): I rated just 3 because there’s a bit of weird smell upon entering the room. The comforter, sheets, pillow cases and blankets have stains and smells old. The floor also are dusty and the showers and faucets are a little bit rusty. Comfort ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (4/5): The matress itself are comfortable and the airconditioning works properly but as mentioned above, the sheets smells old. Services ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (5/5): I love their services. Specially the front desk officers (Apple and I forgot to ask the name of the other one), they are very professional and accommodating. We asked them a lot of times regarding directions and they always gave us a detailed one. So we didn’t got lost getting around Davao. The restaurant staff are also very accommodating and the food services are very quick. Food ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (5/5): We ate here everyday for our free breakfasts and all of the plated meals I ordered I am very much satisfied. They served the food plentiful and they even have unli brewed coffee every morning. Location ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (5/5): I can say that this hotel is in a very strategic location because it is near to some of the tourist destinations of Davao like People’s Park, Roxas Night Market, Bankerohan Public Market. I booked Hotel Marco via the hotel’s FB Page. Booked the Premiere room as the agent I spoke with specifically said that the Premiere room is more spacious than the deluxe but sad to say it doesn’t feel like it or did they not gave us a premiere room? Reservation was fast they did not require us to pay for a downpayment. Our flight got delayed from early in the morning to late in the afternoon so we arrived Davao City at around 6:00 PM. They did not even gave us any follow up if we are going to continue with our reservation. We rented a car which picked us up at the airport we immediately went to the hotel to check in (30mins drive to airport) when we got to the hotel it took a little while to check in as they were not sure about our reservation there were many questions asked first how we did our reservation and it was hot at the lobby as the AC were turned off. After check in we got into our room, on the way to our room some lights in hallway were turned off too that’s why it was quite dark. Inside the room there were 2 big beds it was spacious and comfortable. AC were cold and WIFI was ok plus the smart TV is also a plus! What we didn’t like was they did not provide any toiletries kit (eg. toothbrush, toothpaste, etc..) we asked for it they said they will be sending it in our room but they didn’t all through out our 3 days stay. We also asked for extra pillows as there were only 2 pillows per bed but they don’t have an extra. We also asked for an extra key card as we were group of 2 (4 adults 1 child) but they cannot provide an extra key card too which was inconvenient as if someone needs to go out no extra keycard is provided and still needs to knock on the door. Location wise it was not in the city center but since we rented a self drive car we didn’t have any issues going into places such as tourist spots. Good thing that the hotel has s basement parking. There are restaurants, spas, and convenience store 1 block away from the hotel. They only serve plated breakfast which you will be called during the evening to choose your preferred breakfast. Choices were limited but it was good. We only had issues with the drinks during our breakfast because my husband asked if coffee was free the server said Yes so my husband got himself one when he served the juice in our table he did not gave one to my husband because he said he got himself a coffee my husband got aggravated as he did not specifically says that he can only choose one beverage. Since it was his fault he still gave a juice but did not say sorry. The hotel is still new and they still have a lot of things to improve on. The hotel is affordable.From$41

Astrodel is a basic hotel in the heart of Davao City. Ateneo de Davao University is about 10-15 min walk. Nestled within Artiaga street, everything is accessible from this hotel. No breakfast comes with the rate so if that is a deal breaker for you, there are better alternatives. They have free drinking water from the first-floor water dispenser. If you ask for a pitcher for your room, they will charge you 20 pesos for delivery. If you want it for free, you can fetch your own water. The room is satisfactory. Wifi is fast. TV cable is ample. The shower heater went haywire on our last day though. They failed to respond to our request for repair informing us that the electrician was still not around. This was around 10 am. Generally, they are not very quick to respond to requests. If this is an issue, go find another hotel. There are tons in the area. Otherwise, this will do for a place to sleep.From$22

My wife had a quarantine stay here. I booked this using facebook and was exceptionally well supported by Raymond at the hotel. When there my family (wife, son and baby daughter) liked the room and food and told me how helpful and friendly the staff were. Transiting through Davao airport and needing a sleepover the OYO 150 Davao Airport view hotel is a great spot to stop over. Very close to the airport, superbly clean and good service. . For travellers there is only one downside. Payment is in cash on arrival. On arrival ask for help from the stake to carry your bad up the stairs to first floor.From$22
