Our family stayed at this hotel for 5 days at the end of March and we were very happy with our experience. It's a very quiet and cozy hotel right on the ocean, with a fantastic view from the dining area. Our room was small, but the beds and mattresses were comfortable. There was always hot water. The room windows faced a shared corridor, but this wasn't an issue for us; we enjoyed the sea views from the common area while sipping on complimentary coffee or a glass of rum. The dining area is equipped with dishes (plates, mugs, cutlery) and a refrigerator where you can store food and drinks, plus ice is always available in the freezer for beverages. There's no stovetop for cooking, but you can order takeout from a nearby restaurant through the hotel, or bring your own food. You can also rent a motorbike at the hotel for 500 pesos per day. The owners are incredibly warm and helpful people, always ready to assist. Upon arrival, they arranged our airport transfer from Cebu for 5000 pesos. They also organized tours for us to see whale sharks (1000 pesos/person for the ticket), Sumilon Island (500 pesos/person), and Tumalog Falls (6 pesos/person for the ticket, plus 500 pesos/person for transportation). We were very pleased with the tours and the guidance, a big thank you to Baby, the hotel owner, for organizing everything. We decided to visit Moalboal independently, which turned out to be quite easy. The bus stop is located next to a 7/11 store; just wait for a light green bus and take it to the final stop, Bato Terminal (60 pesos per person). From there, transfer to another bus heading to Moalboal (138 pesos per person). Once in Moalboal, take a tricycle to the beach. We used D'Greco Hotel as a landmark; it's right on a beach where you don't need to pay to swim with sardines and turtles – you just walk into the water, swim out to the reefs, and enjoy. The tricycle ride to the hotel cost us 200 pesos for three people. Before entering the coastal area, there's a tourist fee of 25 pesos per person. Near our hotel, there's a tour desk where we booked a canyoneering trip to Kawasan Falls, and it was unforgettable! It cost 1900 pesos per person and included lunch. Overall, we loved it. Returning to Ocean View Lodging House in Oslob felt like coming home. The owners were happy to see us back. The next day, we were scheduled to go to Panglao, and Baby, the owner, booked our ferry tickets for us. All in all, our impressions of the hotel and its owners are overwhelmingly positive. An excellent hotel for an excellent price.

The thing about the stairs need to be taken into consideration because it's A LOT of stairs. I really thought that people were exaggerating but it's almost a wall of China! completely worth it since you are down. Beautiful ocean! Full of turtles. and super comfy room. Best pillow in the whole Philippines. I was just upset because some guests were puting their music really loud on the common area, this is so disrespectful with others.. you can sleep with the sea sound and listen to the sea during the day unless people make you listen to Justin Bieber and pop USA music super loud.. the staff also listen to loud videos on their phone. .. so when I complained it was really hard for them to take some action and ask the other guests to put their volume down... The sun chairs are super comfy but only some of them are in the shade under a tree.. some umbrellas could be provided.

The room we stayed in was opposite the front desk. The room was very small, but it was very tidy and wouldn't be a good night's sleep. The restroom was outside. It was clean and convenient. The hotel is very interesting, with restaurants, itineraries, hotels and tents to lose. The place to go to see whale sharks is very close, ten minutes walk to death, it is good as a temporary stop. The fat sister at the front desk was particularly good, and the English was also very good. The hotel garden is sea, super beautiful, and you can swim.

The hotel is located near the road and is very noisy, so bring earplugs. Breakfast is always available at a reasonable price. It's not overly generous, but you can definitely get scrambled eggs with bacon or sausage. Instant coffee is the only option. The rooms aren't very clean, and housekeeping isn't always good. The location is very convenient for visiting waterfalls and sharks. The room rates are low, so it would be unfair to nitpick. The pool was always ours alone in the evenings, and guests didn't stay long. The staff was very helpful, always helpful with any questions, and if something wasn't right, they fixed it. Wi-Fi only works at reception and by the pool. Cell phone service is always good. Prices for all services are very affordable.

The hotel is great. It's small, with only six rooms, which creates a really cozy atmosphere. It's tough to find hotels off the main road near Oslob. So, when I was choosing a place, I also considered easy access to the sea. It can be a bit noisy near the main road, but if you tune that out and just listen to the waves, it's actually quite nice. The pool is excellent, and so is the access to the sea (though you definitely need to wear water shoes, like everywhere else, as most beaches on Cebu Island are rocky). They offer food services, bringing delicious grilled seafood and amazing soups made from it. There's also a BBQ grill available. If you want to explore Filipino cuisine, you'll get a chance here. They offer transparent kayak rides, which are perfect for seeing the seabed. They also arrange tours for swimming with whale sharks and with sardines in Moalboal. The staff are incredibly friendly. The hotel owners also visit and oversee the staff's work.

Great location and service for budget travelers. The kind and supportive staff add great value to the stay, especially by helping arrange an early morning trip to see the whale sharks while it was still cool, followed by a visit to Tumalog Falls. The café attached to the hostel also offers good service, tasty meals, and a comfortable outdoor seating area.

Let me talk about the disadvantages first: 1. Expensive booking! Whale Shark Park booking 1000P / person, hotel booking 1800P / person, boat ticket 500P / person, hotel booking 900P / person, the most important thing is to start at 11:40, let you go out at 9! 2. The hotel environment is very general, you must be prepared to go there! advantage: 1. Cheap, relatively high cost performance compared to surrounding hotels; 2. Good location, sea view room, near the pier, not far from the whale shark; Finally, I would like to remind everyone that if you only want to see whale sharks and sardines, it is recommended to take a boat from Cebu to Panglao to settle in, and then from Panglao to Oslob will be much more convenient and much cheaper!

The place in 10 minutes by car to sharks, great hotel owners, we had a small room with a common toilet, but no one in the department lived except us so we didn't notice the difference. In the morning, as everywhere in the Philippines, the puppies scream , but it was tolerable. From the downsides this blanket was very short and synthetic, as well as synthetic towels.

We read a lot of negative reviews about the hotel but decided to take a chance. For the price, it's a perfectly decent hotel. It doesn't look like much from the outside, but the rooms are fine and clean. The internet is pretty good. There's no hot water, but that's mentioned in the description. The entrance for shark swimming is just 100 meters away. It gets crowded before lunch, but after that, only a few tourists remain in Tanawan, so you can swim peacefully outside the shark area or go to the waterfall, which is about 3 km from the hotel (it closes at 3:30 PM). Since the hotel (like most in Tanawan) is located along the road, it can be noisy, so try to get a room not facing the road.

Beautiful hotel. There's a small pool, but we didn't use it. There's no beach; access to the sea is through a gate and down concrete stairs. During our stay, the access was closed due to strong waves. Breakfast was modest but decent. The room is small, for 3 people. There are 2 pillows per person. Soap, shampoo, and a toothbrush are provided. There was a damp smell from the sink, and the entrance to the bathroom was small. It's 50 pesos by Tuktuk to Oslob town center. To the whale sharks, it's 30-40 minutes and 300 pesos. An intercity bus passes by on the street, which is very convenient if you need to go to Moalboal or Cebu.

The location is excellent, not far from where they take you to see the whale sharks. The hotel provides round-trip transfers, but you can also walk about 500 meters in 10 minutes, though it's along the road. The price for the whale shark tour from the hotel with transfer is 1000 pesos; without transfer, it's 500 pesos per person if you book on site. The rooms are spartan, with nothing but a bed and a table. There's a water heater in the shower, but it doesn't quite do its job. However, for 3,000 rubles, if you just came to see the whale sharks, spend a night, and leave, it's perfectly justifiable. The hotel has a restaurant where you can grab a bite, and nearby there's a pier with boats that can take you to a small, opposite island with white coral sand. This hotel is really just for a 1-2 night stay.

We had a good stay at this place! The pool is clean and refreshing, and the rooms are spacious enough for two guests. Having a CR with a heater was definitely a plus, and the service was okay. On the downside, the breakfast could be improved, as they charge the same price even if some items (like eggs) are missing. Food options are also quite limited, and the rocky shore might not appeal to those who aren't fans of rugged seaside views. BBOK SUNThe hotel isn't bad. We wanted to swim in the pool, but the water was very cloudy; it was obvious they rarely change it. The beach area is tiny, and getting into the water is inconvenient. However, the service overall is very decent. It's about a 40-minute tuk-tuk ride to see the whale sharks. The room was clean, and housekeeping was done daily 👍 The staff are very friendly, thank you! 👍 The view from the room was amazing 🔥
