I booked a 4-night, 5-day business trip for a business meeting. It is located in the center of Dhaka, Banani, so it is easy to travel to Gulchang or other areas. The price is cheap and the facilities are clean, so I was able to stay comfortably for 4 nights and 5 days. The yogurt served for breakfast was Bangladeshi traditional yogurt (served in a traditional earthenware pot), so it was delicious and good.SOLD OUT

Hotel Shuktara provided excellent service, with clean, safe - newly painted small basic rooms but with everything you may need. Cost effective option situated in Dhaka, behavior of the staff was excellent and Shahin was very kind. Hotel staff was available if you have any questions or concerns. They were always helpful, provided small currency exchange, daily room service, held luggage after check out and can coordinate CNG or rickshaws. There is 24/7 front desk and security outside the building. Buffet breakfast was plentiful of options which varied a bit every day. Free water refills at restaurant during breakfast, water bottles provided by daily housekeeping, tea kettle and mini fridge in room, WiFi worked great. Location was good to explore some of Dhaka during the day, however it’s unadvisable to be out in the area late. There’s two restaurants in the building, Starlight provided great attentive service and was a very hygienic restaurant. As others have said, there is a river in front of you, and there is a national pattern, so mosquitoes may be unavoidable. I didn't stay at the Mango Hotel in Dhaka before because I accidentally lost my passport and I felt so miserable in this place where I had no relatives! Later, my friend introduced me to the Mango Hotel and said that he would help us Chinese people. I found the Mango Hotel with a nervous heart. The owner was really good. I picked up the phone and called the embassy and sent someone to take me to complete the procedures. Because I had to wait for a few working days to get the documents, I stayed in the hotel. To be honest, the cleanliness of the hotel was my first impression. The second was that all the meals were authentic Chinese food. The third was that all the staff were warm and the service attitude was super good. It made me feel like home. I want to express a lot, and I am not dragging my feet. The breakfast have a good selection of choices and it is different everyday. Stayed here for 4 nights and enjoy it. The people in Bangladesh are courtesy and welcoming. Everyone is helpful and the area of this hotel is near to many other food choices of walking distance of 10-15 mins. The next biz trip will still select this hotel as my choice of stay.From€49

Liked the breakfast! Likes the gym (it's fine for workout during travels). View from rooftop is also good. Got a juice and a hot towel at check in, also nice gesture.

The room was very good, especially considering local standards — spacious, clean, and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent, with a wide selection and good quality.
Service was, in many cases, truly excellent: particularly from the dining staff, entrance/security team, and the porters, who were all attentive and genuinely helpful.
However, at reception the experience was more mixed. Sometimes was good. At times the staff tried to appear friendly, but it felt somewhat forced, and on other occasions their attitude shifted suddenly to being a bit aloof. This inconsistency made the reception service less authentic compared to the rest of the team.
Overall, the hotel is well located, easy to find, with a very nice swimming pool, making it a solid choice for a stay.From€34

This is the third time I have stayed at this hotel on a business trip. Except for the price, which is a bit expensive, I am very satisfied with everything else. The room is beautiful and the service is very good. The waiters downstairs are very enthusiastic. From€36

Too much mosquito even in higher floor. I booked this hotel for my Parents. They stayed 3nights on 12th floor room number 16. Overall facilities is okay,clean but not really clean.1st night they could not sleep at all because of mosquitoes. They informed reception next morning was was told they will spray but same thing happened 2nd night as well, when called reception said they sprayed which was not true.after requesting 3times they sprayed and finally there was no mosquito.they need to give more attention.
Visitors are not allowed, bathroom is too small and bidet is too short to reach.From€33
