We have offered this feedback to corporate and property general management via email with no reply. Sadly, due to the issues that we experienced we probably won't be visiting again. Its a beautiful property but the staff and issues we experienced don't allow us to highly recommend. (+)At check-in my wife had a helpful and excellent experience with Jaime Ortiz. He took the time to help her get our family and our luggage to the room since I had not arrived yet. He is to be commended for his genuine attention and how truly eager he was to help. (-)My wife enjoyed cocktails from the Azul lounge and unfortunately received very aloof service from the female bartender with dark hair and glasses. I also experienced this same level of dissatisfactory service from this particular bartender on a separate occasion on Saturday. (-) Saturday morning our room was covered by black ants. My wife called the front desk and asked that housekeeping or maintenance please come to the room to address the issue. The issue was not taken care of until a few hours later while we were at the pool. (+) Saturday, we spent our breakfast at Azul and Tommy was our server. He was warm, friendly, and very helpful. He made recommendations for entrée selections and interacted with our children in a genuine way. (+) We spent Saturday late morning and early afternoon at the pool and Andrea helped us with our alcohol and food order. She was very sweet and checked on us as she saw us around at the different pools. (+) We booked our 2 children into the Kids Club from 5:50pm-7:50pm on Saturday. Hannah was efficient in the reservation and check in process. Our children detailed that they had fun. (+) We wanted to enjoy some tapas from Contigo while our kids were in the Kids Club but didn’t know how to get there. We went to the front desk and Andrianna actually came around the desk and walked us to the door to ensure we had correct directions. She was the 2nd employee, from Jaime (mentioned earlier) that went above and beyond to help my family. (+) At Contigo our experience was perfection, which we hadn’t experienced at La Paloma up to the point unfortunately. My wife made sure to ask for the manager, Jorge, and share that Erin O and our server Danny V were such great staff members throughout our meal! (-) We returned to our room to see that the ants were still prevalent now having gotten into all of my children’s snacks and a dozen cookies we had delivered to the hotel for our children as a Saturday night surprise. Ants were in my son’s shoes and our carryon bags. It was a mess and my wife had to spend some time on her staycation cleaning our room and hotel furniture, and throwing out so much food! (-) We went to breakfast again at Azul on Sunday morning and Michelle was our server. She forgot to fulfill some of our small requests and our drinks were not refilled in our meal. Security is protective. Maintenance is on the ball and if something needs to be fixed they come and fix it right away. The ladies at the front desk are friendly and courteous and will help you with what we you need. If you need a quick cheap stay then this is it. If you want to stay longer then that can happen too but no it is not a extended stay, though for $280 will get you a weeks stay! It isn't the most fancy upper class it has caring and chill vibes.From$53

Expectations were somewhat higher due to the reviews. Maybe it was the room itself which was spacious and clean but the bathroom was mostly the problem. It was too big, very cold due to leaky windows and no heater. Slow drains all around, faucet about to come off, could use an entire makeover. It was very cold during our stay so the room heater was working almost 24/7. Heater temp and air temp didn't feel right, sometimes not enough heat, other times too warm. Could not regulate the temperature well, plus with all the leaky windows, maybe that was the best it could do under the circumstances. Best part of the room was it was upstairs and the view was very nice, if you ignored all the noise from the staff maintenance area. The breakfast buffet was okay, slight variation each morning but the wait staff was not very friendly and not attentive at all. One coffee refill would of been nice, which most of us had to ask for and half the time they never came back. If they were real busy, we could understand but being close to the kitchen area, you could hear them talking and not attending to the clientele. Will not be going back anytime soon.From$149

Advantages: clean, rooms, bedding, and toilets are very clean and tidy, 2 looks like a legendary motel (I haven't lived in it, I don't know what a motel is, I thought it might be a car modification called a motel, There is an exquisite old car at the entrance of this hotel. My friend said it might be a motel 😅, I don’t know.) But we have done a lot of art fountains. The entire yard is also clean, orderly, safe, and absolutely safe. There are lobby and two The very formal front desk looks and wears pretty nice including talking, so security is no problem. There is free milk, ice water, coffee supply in the small lobby, there is a long bar, and there is another one when you go out. The small swimming pool looks very clean)
Disadvantages: The 17-square-meter house really feels small and compact, the bed is 1.5 meters, it is really small for two people, and the air conditioner is very loud.

Tucson made a temporary decision. It was because the rooms became dissatisfied during various major exhibitions. Or else the price of 4 points or more was not decent. The AC Marriott in the city center last year has been more than 4,000 and nearly 5,000. In fact, the hotel rooms are not only large. It’s clean. The facilities in other rooms of the brand hotel are fine, so after thinking about the domestic epidemic, I’d better save some. I can also buy more masks. Finally, I looked at it on the booking and the evaluation was pretty good. I forgot the high score of 8.5 or 9.1. Most of the comments were clean and safe. It was 1500 on the day and I made a reservation for one day. In the next two days, I chose the Four Points by Sheraton Airport Hotel with a score of 4.2 because it was the next two days. The price is good for 1,300 and there is a room for a night. It was confirmed later that it was quite clear. I heard a noise scratching in the mattress, that woke me up. I called to the front desk and the lady did come up right away. She heard the noise twice herself. I was moved to a king suite at 11:00 pm. I was checking out at 11:00 am the next morning. I asked the manager for one night of room comp while checking out. He said that I was moved to a king suite. That was only for a couple of hours. I didn't get the full benefits of the suite for several reasons. The nightstand in the bedroom didn't have a table lamp nor a ceiling light. The only light was from the main living room or the bathroom outside of the bedroom. I didn't turn the TV on because I had to get back to sleep to be up on time to pack and checkout. I asked did they find out what it was in the mattress? I was told no. Kind of strange you put the room out of services and found nothing. A staff member heard the same noise, hit the mattress and heard the noise again.From$97

We stayed at the Doubletree when we dropped off our daughter at U of A. The property is a little dated but fine. When we checked in, the gave us a room in the court yard area of the hotel. The court yard wing is a two story building that is separate from the main hotel which is about a 10 story building. We were on the second floor and immediately upon entering the room it smelled musty and my wife said it smelled like cigarettes. We also noticed that the AC wasn't working very well and called down to the front desk to get another room. They said that no other rooms were available and that it was monsoon season and the AC struggled to keep up. After spending a hot nigh in the room, we left that day to move our daughter into U of A. When we returned, the room was still warm and I called down to the front desk and again asked if we could get another room. The answer was no and then I asked to speak to the manager. Alex the manager called me back and apologized for poor AC and agreed to discount our room because of the issue. He also sent a maintenance person up to look at the AC and bring us a fan. The maintenance person said that after an adjustment the AC was blowing seven degrees cooler. I am not sure that was a the case but maybe it got a little better, not sure. Anyway, we ended up leaving a day early and ate the last night of our stay. Speaking with Alex the manger, it sounds like the problem is confined to the court yard area and that the main building is fine. I would just say buyer beware if you are considering staying here during the hot summer months.From$119

Always a fan of the AC hotels, and this one definitely meets the mark. Located in downtown Tucson, short drive from the airport and 1 block away from nightlife, coffee, and restaurants. Hotel parking can be pricey, but luckily there are some decent street parking options around. The hotel is right next to a nightclub so you may hear noises til late night so beware if you value a quiet night's sleep. Lobby is well appointed, not huge but has a decent bar. Check-in was quick and easy, not much of a line. Elevators get you to your room quickly, not much of a wait. Not the tallest hotel but you have a decent view of downtown Tucson with large windows. Bed is nice and comfortable, rooms are large with plenty of outlets and luggage storage. Bathroom is large and comfortable and wifi works perfectly. Overall will try to stay again.From$139

Initially, we booked just one night to check the hotel out but ended up staying 5 nights!! We loved the accommodations. The suite-style room was great, the bed was very comfortable, and it was super quiet. Parts of the hotel are still being refurnished so the hallway carpeting is in need of replacement but our room was in good shape. The hot breakfast buffet is also very good with scrambled eggs, beans, potatoes, meat, & pancakes. The location was also great as we were close to the Huckleberry Loop & biked different sections of it everyday. What awesome network of trails!! There were only a couple of negatives, the room temperature was hard to control & there were limited TV channels available but that definitely wouldn’t stop us from staying here again! Always a good sign when you stay at the same place a second time. We like to get the 2-bedroom suite (with loft) when we come to Tucson because it's a lot of space to spread out for the four of us. Full kitchen, two bathrooms, the works. Breakfast was included in a grab-and-go format. It had a fair amount of choices, though the egg burritos were inedible. Service was fine, and the room was clean. Barking dogs in an adjacent unit, but otherwise quiet. We stayed 4 nights at the end of May and found this hotel to be a pleasure. The room was clean and stocked and very large for my family of 3. Staff were very friendly. Parking was a little tight especially since it was a holiday weekend but never had an issue. Plenty of places to eat in the area and pool was nice. Their restaurant was not opened yet but the breakfast seemed packed every morning. The hotel could use a little updating and fixing up. Some loose outside tiles by one of the entry gates and are room could have used a new coat of paint to hide the evidence that there was once a major roof leak but still enjoyed the room. AC unit was loud when watching tv but at least it was cold air. Will definitely stay here again when visiting family in the future.From$139

I read a lot of reviews on this place prior to booking which were mixed, but tried to ignore the bad because I needed an affordable option. The property itself it very nice, it looks like it was quite the resort when new, it’s just a little tired. Carpets in common area were old and dirty, but I did see someone cleaning them on my last day. Being an animal friendly hotel, the room did have an unpleasant smell, but I bought a couple air fresheners and it helped. I had a third floor room with a pool and Mountain view, it was a large corner room and that was really nice. Fitness center was ok, dumbbells were missing. Breakfast had a lot of options and they tried to have different options every day. Staff was friendly. If they replaced the carpet, it would really make a big difference. But first I booked a double Queen and they moved my family of 4 to a single king and gave me a rollaway. At first glance the room looked ok but upon closer look it was fairly dirty. Dead bugs in all the lights, stains on the bedding, dead bug smashed on the wall, markings and dirty on the walls. Doors have a sizeable gap at the bottom and walls are thin so you hear everything. And during the 3 nights we were here people were very loud and inconsiderate of other guests, slamming doors, running down the hallway. The rollaway was completely stained over most of the bed. I enjoyed my staycation here very much. While some reviewers observe that the hotel is old and dated, in general, that was not at all my experience (except for the drapes in the room which may have been from the last century). Fact is - this IS an old hotel and a Tucson landmark. My room and balcony were comfortable, clean, and pleasant. The soaking tub was delightful. My room overlooked the pool (salt water!) which added to my enjoyment. The bed was comfortable as were the chairs, large ottoman, and small sofa. I liked the computer desk. The grounds abound with native plants. I don’t play golf, but I understand that it is an excellent course. Only one of the two pools was open due to Covid restrictions, but it was thoroughly delightful and there was plenty of shade from umbrellas, decent lounge chairs, and some comfortable outdoor upholstered furniture available as well. I did not use the spa or fitness center, so I can’t comment on that. A few negatives in my book, though. First, the hotel is nowhere near ADA compliant. I understand a major upgrade is in the works so hopefully those issues can be addressed. Second, I think it’s ridiculous to charge for self-parking. Third, the hotel was not following the current CDC guidelines for indoor masking. The few times that I actually had to go into the lobby, I was the only person wearing a mask. When I compare that to a recent stay at another local resort where every single staff person and most of the guests I saw indoors were masked - I think that is inexcusable. Finally, the tv selections are heavily skewed to sports of all kind to the detriment of entertainment. Finally, the bed linens were pretty tired. Overall, I think the Omni Tucson is delightful. I would not hesitate to return or to recommend it to my friends. I look forward to the unveiling of the new and improved resort.From$299

We liked the look of the outside and expected the inside to be nicer, especially being a Marriott. The room was spacious and clean, but the beds and pillows were very uncomfortable, leading to not much sleep. The TV was in a spot parallel to the bed making it hard to watch, and we had to rearrange the furniture in order to unfold the sleeper couch (which was completely unmade, and the bedding was stored in a bag in the closet). Seeing as how we paid $300 for the night I was expecting a whole lot more. I've stayed at hotels for less and received a lot more in the way of amenities, convenience and better service (there was no one at the front desk to check out in the morning and I had to walk around looking for an employee, who just told me to leave my key at the desk, and then proceeded to carry on with her conversations with the other employee). Preface: I am an airline flight crew member who lives over half of my life in hotels. This is the hotel our airline puts us up. We do not stay in luxury 5 star hotels... Upon check-in we were given a notice that there is no daily housekeeping because the hotel is unable to hire enough housekeepers and their occupancy is up and they are not able to meet demand. Also, to call the front desk if amenities are needed. I cal the front desk anyway? We stay in hotels for about 8 to 10 hours at a time so I never use daily housekeeping. Having said this, the room was clean and the property appears well maintained. The reason for the low rating: The walls are ridiculous thin. One can hear conversation in the adjacent rooms clearly. One can hear TV as well. I'm talking about TV and conversation that is reasonable levels. I don't want to be a whiner, but it's (that) bad. The gym is sp****. A couple of cardio machines. A set of mismatched dumbbells that go to 40 lbs. Some of the weight increments are missing and some are missing one of the dumbbells. I know hotels have a problem with theft of dumbbells from those who steal these to use as weights for flea market tent hold downs. The gym is small as well. In room has a nice TV. Has one of those crappy CV1 coffeemakers. Small refrig. in room and a real bath tub as opposed to walk in shower. A big deal breaker!!! (If I were choosing a hotel) Has one of those motion sensing thermostats which is also controlled remotely! These should be BANNED! No problem with staff. They seemed friendly and attentive.From$125

(+)At check-in my wife had a helpful and excellent experience with Jaime Ortiz. He took the time to help her get our family and our luggage to the room since I had not arrived yet. He is to be commended for his genuine attention and how truly eager he was to help. (-)My wife enjoyed cocktails from the Azul lounge and unfortunately received very aloof service from the female bartender with dark hair and glasses. I also experienced this same level of dissatisfactory service from this particular bartender on a separate occasion on Saturday. (-) Saturday morning our room was covered by black ants. My wife called the front desk and asked that housekeeping or maintenance please come to the room to address the issue. The issue was not taken care of until a few hours later while we were at the pool. (+) Saturday, we spent our breakfast at Azul and Tommy was our server. He was warm, friendly, and very helpful. He made recommendations for entrée selections and interacted with our children in a genuine way. (+) We spent Saturday late morning and early afternoon at the pool and Andrea helped us with our alcohol and food order. She was very sweet and checked on us as she saw us around at the different pools. (+) We booked our 2 children into the Kids Club from 5:50pm-7:50pm on Saturday. Hannah was efficient in the reservation and check in process. Our children detailed that they had fun. (+) We wanted to enjoy some tapas from Contigo while our kids were in the Kids Club but didn’t know how to get there. We went to the front desk and Andrianna actually came around the desk and walked us to the door to ensure we had correct directions. She was the 2nd employee, from Jaime (mentioned earlier) that went above and beyond to help my family. (+) At Contigo our experience was perfection, which we hadn’t experienced at La Paloma up to the point unfortunately. My wife made sure to ask for the manager, Jorge, and share that Erin O and our server Danny V were such great staff members throughout our meal! (-) We returned to our room to see that the ants were still prevalent now having gotten into all of my children’s snacks and a dozen cookies we had delivered to the hotel for our children as a Saturday night surprise. Ants were in my son’s shoes and our carryon bags. It was a mess and my wife had to spend some time on her staycation cleaning our room and hotel furniture, and throwing out so much food! (-) We went to breakfast again at Azul on Sunday morning and Michelle was our server. She forgot to fulfill some of our small requests and our drinks were not refilled in our meal.
