The hotel's cleanliness and facilities were excellent, and the breakfast spread was very generous. Staying for four consecutive nights truly exceeded my expectations.

Out of my two-week trip, the Renaissance Xiamen Hotel was what I was looking forward to the most 🏨, but reality hit us hard. This was, surprisingly, the most disappointing stay of the entire journey. 👇 💢 **Noise Nightmare** Late at night, guests upstairs were still jumping around 💃, and then in the early hours, I was woken up by the chattering of the aunties next door 🗣️. I spent the entire night in torment 😫. After complaining, the front desk actually blamed the parents?! ”We can't control children jumping around.” This response definitely deserves a bad review 🙅‍♀️. 💢 **Service Fails** I asked for two bowls when checking in 🥣, but even this simple request was messed up ❌. What's worse: I asked for them around 10 PM when I checked in, and they didn't arrive until almost midnight 🕛. The efficiency was simply abysmal. 💢 **Chaotic Environment** The hotel entrance was crowded with vendors' stalls 💥. Is this really a five-star hotel? 🤔 ✨ **Only Positives** The bedding was indeed comfortable 🛏️, and the breakfast selection was quite rich 🥐. The decor was truly distinctive (too bad I had no mood for photos 📸). **Summary:** Came with high expectations, left utterly disappointed 😔. Suggest avoiding this one! ‼️

My first stay at the Hyatt Regency Xiamen Wuyuan Bay last March left such a great impression that I couldn't stop thinking about it. So, when I specifically came to Xiamen for a concert this time, I didn't hesitate to choose this familiar hotel again. Comparing my two stays: Visiting again after a year, the overall experience had some subtle changes. Compared to last year, the doorman's enthusiasm seemed to have slightly waned, and the turndown service felt a bit perfunctory, although the service attitude was still quite good. Additionally, the food quality at the Club Lounge and the first-floor breakfast restaurant had a slight decline; it's no longer something I'd go out of my way to experience. Highlights of my stay: Despite the slight dip in dining details, the concierge service at the hotel remained consistently high-standard and was the biggest plus point of my entire stay. During the concert period, the hotel's exclusive shuttle bus service was well-organized, making the entire journey worry-free. I connected with Irene, the Concierge Manager, via WeChat a week in advance, and our communication was very smooth. Just like last year, upon returning to the hotel, there was still a handwritten welcome card and fresh fruit, a testament to the concierge team's thoughtfulness. Club Lounge Suite: Both stays offered different delightful room experiences. Last year, I stayed in room 1319. This time, traveling with my mother, I opted for the Club Lounge Suite 1815, which was perfectly suited for a family trip. The room was spacious and expansive, with a bright and open view, making for maximum living comfort. Although the hotel has been open for nine years, the guest rooms are very well-maintained. As night falls, the warm wooden textures in the room exude a sense of luxury, showcasing that classic Hyatt quality. Hyatt Hotels' Pharmacopia bath amenities are also a long-time favorite of mine. Perhaps it's not the best hotel in Xiamen, but among my numerous trips to Xiamen, it remains my most reliable and preferred choice.

I highly recommend NOA Hotel; it truly exceeded all my expectations! The location is fantastic, close to shopping districts and the subway, making it incredibly convenient for exploring and dining out. It's a lifesaver for those driving, as it has its own dedicated parking lot, so no more hunting for spaces. The entire hotel has a great aesthetic, with a sophisticated and timeless industrial design. Everywhere you look, from the lobby to the hallways, there are artistic details perfect for snapping photos. The rooms are incredibly stylish, with high ceilings complemented by wooden and metallic furnishings, creating a soft yet designer feel that's comfortable and relaxing. The food at DECK on the first floor is excellent, with solid and delicious ingredients for breakfast and light meals. In the evening, the bar offers a wide selection of drinks, and their signature cocktails and craft beers are superb. The front desk and staff were attentive and thoughtful throughout my stay, responding quickly and providing detailed service. It's perfect for both short business trips and leisure travel – it's definitely on my list for a return visit!

I'd only heard about the unique architecture of the hotel, but after checking in, everything was excellent. The service was especially attentive and responsive. I got caught in the rain on the way in, and the front desk staff provided hot ginger tea. After checking in, I requested afternoon tea, which was also promptly delivered to my room. Kids loved the family suite so much, they didn't want to leave! ❤️ We brought our child to Xiamen this time, and the hotel upgraded us to a Sun and Moon Valley family suite. The overall experience was even better than expected, perfect for a family vacation. The room was very spacious. As soon as we entered, my child started exploring everywhere. The room was filled with animal-themed furniture and decorations – deer, ponies, a giraffe lamp, and many adorable plush toys. It was truly whimsical! Even my usually picky daughter had a blast, spending half the day just taking photos in the room. The bed was huge, easily accommodating four people without feeling cramped. The overall decor had a Southeast Asian resort vibe. Although the hotel has been open for a while, it's well-maintained, clean, and comfortable, without that dated feel you sometimes get with older hotels. The hotel itself has plenty of facilities for kids: billiards, table tennis, a swimming pool, and a children's activity area, all of which helped us pass the time. Our family also played a super-sized foosball game, which was a lot of fun. The hot spring area is right across the street, with a shuttle service running back and forth, making it incredibly convenient. After a relaxing soak, coming back to rest was a breeze. The breakfast selection was also quite varied, with both Chinese and Western options, generally satisfying the tastes of our entire family. The staff were very friendly and attentive, especially towards families with children.

Xiamen is really hot, so you sweat just by stepping outside, which made the self-service laundry on the 2nd floor incredibly convenient. Here's my review: **Pros:** 1. The environment is absolutely top-notch. 2. The service staff, including the security personnel, are exceptionally helpful and resolve any issues you might have. Other staff members proactively greet guests. I'd particularly like to mention Fiona, Sylvia Wang, and Doris Zhang by name, though all the other service staff were superb too! Give them a raise! 3. Fiona kindly brought me welcome snacks and a welcome gift. **Cons:** 1. As soon as I entered the room, there was a strong, musty old furniture smell. It was incredibly heavy, and it even woke me up once during the night. The hotel really needs to replace its furniture, or at least some of the wooden elements like doors and wardrobes, as the moldy wood smell is too overpowering. The room door also looks very old and definitely needs replacing! (Fiona did provide an air purifier, but that's just a temporary fix). 2. As you can see in Picture 3, the hangers are also very old, and age makes them look dirty. 3. The small makeup mirror in the bathroom kept drooping and wouldn't stay up. It should be replaced. 4. The TV is also very old – an ancient Philips model. The remote control is sluggish, taking ages to change channels, which was frustrating to watch. 5. The hotel lacks robots. They should invest in delivery robots so guests can easily have food delivered to their rooms. 6. The breakfast selection is rich and varied. I highly recommend the wontons and waffles. The lady making waffles and the gentleman and lady cooking wontons were all very enthusiastic. (Give them a raise!) In summary, the smell in the room is arguably this hotel's biggest flaw, but it's not something that can be changed quickly. It will depend on the owner's decision.

The hotel experience was very good, and the breakfast was abundant. I especially loved the peanut soup. The pool water was very clean, and my child had a great time playing there all afternoon. However, the outdoor pool did have some leaves in it. While waiting for my child by the pool, I noticed an unpleasant smell, which seemed to be coming from the drain, and that was a bit off-putting. Another point is that the hotel doesn't have a free laundry room. It costs 12 RMB for one wash and 8 RMB for 30 minutes of drying. Even in summer, the clothes didn't dry completely, so I had to do another standard dry for 9 RMB for 40 minutes, ending up paying twice, and some T-shirts still weren't dry. That was a bad experience. It was quite surprising that the hotel didn't offer a free laundry room. For one booking, the hotel offered two complimentary buffet afternoon teas. Since I brought a child, they also gave two complimentary children's breakfasts, which was nice. Overall, the feeling was good, but there are many areas that need improvement. I've always had a good impression of Conrad, but the service at Conrad Xiamen this time was really disappointing. I checked in on August 5th and 7th. On the 6th, I pressed the 'do not disturb' button. In the afternoon, I received a call asking when I'd like my room cleaned. I gave them a time, and then shortly after, I got another call asking the same thing. I don't understand the point of the 'do not disturb' sign or the first call. Around 8 PM, a staff member brought me a complimentary sweet soup, and when I asked why I hadn't received it the night before, she said they were too busy. That evening, I complained to the front desk. The next day, when I checked out, the lobby manager, Ms. Shen (2459), told me that as a resolution, they would refund a small portion of my room fee and waive the dining expenses during my stay. I then left the hotel. On the way, I received a call from Trip.com, saying that for the hotel to refund a small part of the room fee, I would need to cancel my order, which meant I wouldn't be able to leave a review. I disagreed. Afterwards, as shown in picture two, Ms. Shen called me three more times. There was no apology or intention to improve service; she just wanted me to compromise. In the last call, she even started by saying that my 2000 deposit hadn't been refunded, trying to threaten me into compromising and canceling the order. She also constantly interrupted me. I told her I would complain about her as well and hoped someone else would respond to my two complaints. On the evening of August 8th, as shown in picture three, a woman claiming to be from customer relations called. I was unable to take the call at the time, and she promised to call me back the next day. Now it's the third day, and I still haven't received a call. I feel that the hotel has no sincerity or intention to resolve the issue, which is why I'm writing this negative review. Separately, the Hainanese chicken rice from room service was also very bad. The chicken was dry and fishy, and even the rice tasted like it was from yesterday. At the hotel's Michelin-recommended Chinese restaurant, Luchenxuan (2026), I ordered a Boston lobster mapo tofu. It wasn't spicy, numbing, fresh, or fragrant; it was bland and had a beany taste. When the waiter asked for my feedback at checkout, they immediately waived the charge for that dish. At least the restaurant service was acceptable, but the service from the front desk and customer relations department is completely unworthy of a five-star hotel.

Back in 2012, after graduating from university, I visited Xiamen and stayed at a budget hotel on Zhongshan Road. I remember seeing the Hotel Indigo from the taxi – its waterfront location, yachts, glass facade, and imposing stature left a lasting impression! Over a decade later, I brought my family to Xiamen and booked this very hotel, a bit of a nostalgic journey. It's a 4-star InterContinental property, and the service lives up to expectations! The view of Gulangyu Island directly across from the hotel is easily worth 80% of the room rate. Breakfast offers a good variety. The only downside is that the hotel might be a bit older, so the room facilities are showing some age, and the 30-square-meter room isn't particularly spacious. Overall, it's good! I was happy with this hotel from the moment I arrived. The doorman, whose name I didn't catch, proactively opened the car door and helped with my luggage. Seeing I had a child with me, he even took all my bags to the lobby while I checked in. Lin Jiankai at the front desk handled my check-in, patiently answering all my questions. I requested a quiet room and ended up on the top floor. The room was a good distance from the executive lounge, so it was very quiet, yet still conveniently located for easy access to the lounge. My visit to Xiamen for the May Day holiday was primarily due to the hotel's excellent transportation links. It was a 30-minute taxi ride to the Botanical Garden (due to holiday traffic), and less than 10 minutes by taxi to SM and MixC malls. The hotel itself is connected to Panji Center, which offers a variety of dining options and a cinema. As soon as we checked in, we went to Tongren Siji Coconut Chicken, which was only about 50 meters from the front desk – so convenient and delicious! When I got to the room, I initially thought it might not be very bright based on the online photos, but it was actually very well-lit. You could also request staff to open the windows. I didn't take photos when I first entered, and later the room got a bit messy, so I didn't bother. A few details about the room really stood out: a shoe shine kit and cloth, and by the bathtub, there were disposable tub liners, a loofah, and bath salts. These little touches are a huge plus for me, as many hotels only provide these upon request. The next day, the cleaning lady even left a pack of Heart to Heart facial tissues by the sink, which I think speaks to the quality of the hotel's amenities. Again, many five-star hotels have tissues that fall apart easily. Now, for the executive lounge: The afternoon tea offers three types of pastries and fruit. While not extensive in variety, the quality of the pastries is superb and very tasty. As someone with high standards for desserts, I give Panji Hilton's desserts a five-star rating. Happy Hour, starting at 6:00 PM, is even more impressive, with at least seven or eight hot dishes. On the first night, there was black garlic duck soup, and on the second night, morel mushroom chicken soup, along with roasted lamb. The evening desserts were different from the afternoon selection, and again, they were absolutely delicious! Also, there's a lovely staff member in the lounge, Ms. Cao Mengying, who is incredibly professional. Not only did she provide meticulous service in the lounge, but since I was staying on that floor, she would always greet me whenever I left or returned, making me feel truly at home. The hotel's smart features are also up-to-date, with an electric toilet in the room and robots that can deliver meals. Regarding service, I had an unexpected injury at the hotel. Trip.com's customer service followed up promptly and with concern, and the hotel also handled it very efficiently. They even called the next day to check on my wound and left a box of cheese sticks in the fridge for me. For other requests, like mineral water, Kung Fu tea sets, and bed rails, the hotel provided everything I needed. Thumbs up! Due to work, I'll be coming to Xiamen often in the future, and I will definitely choose Panji Hilton again next time!

This isn't my first time staying here, and I really love it; the experience is consistently great. The breakfast selection changes a bit daily, always featuring authentic Southern Fujian specialties. There's a wide variety and the food tastes excellent. The room is also very dorm-like, quiet, and the bed is fantastic, leading to naturally high-quality sleep. The only minor downside is that the pool isn't very big, but the water quality is excellent. Also, our butler, Merry, took great care of us. For example, she'd ask what we wanted refilled in the minibar and prepared turn-down service nightly before we came back (which included a pre-sleep dessert, a floor mat next to the bed, and indoor slippers).

Gulangyu Scenic Area Xiamen|4.84km from city center
Decided to stay on the island for a night last minute, and I picked this hotel on Trip.com in just five minutes. I was a bit worried there might be issues before arriving, but the actual stay far exceeded my expectations! Everyone was comfortable and happy, so I wholeheartedly recommend it! The staff were incredibly responsive and efficient throughout our stay. From luggage transfer at the pier to check-out, the service flow was seamless. Every request was promptly addressed, and every detail handled. Their hospitality truly lives up to its excellent reputation. The hotel is located near the entrance of Sunlight Rock Scenic Area, offering both tranquility and convenience for getting around, while ensuring a comfortable stay. The room itself was spacious and well-equipped. Even my biggest concern, mosquitoes, was effectively managed by the hotel with effective repellent measures, completely eliminating any worries about bites. Honestly, there’s really nothing to fault.

This time, staying at the Ewa Hotel in Xiamen, I absolutely have to give a shout-out to Lemon, the lady at the front desk! She's so gentle and thoughtful, and her service is truly exceptional. Even before we arrived, she proactively contacted us several days in advance to discuss our itinerary, meticulously informing us about the local weather and travel precautions – incredibly considerate. During check-in, she even thoughtfully upgraded our room for free, which was such a pleasant surprise. Not only did she patiently explain all the hotel activities and how to use the facilities, but she also specially prepared exquisite snacks as a welcome gift. Throughout our stay, she was incredibly attentive, constantly checking in on our experience, and regularly showing concern. She was meticulous, responsible, and genuinely warm and sincere in her interactions. I honestly recommend that anyone coming to Xiamen and staying at Ewa should directly ask for Lemon. Her service is delicate and heartwarming, making for an incredibly comfortable and pleasant stay. The overall experience was absolutely fantastic!

Upon entering the hotel lobby, I was impressed by its cleanliness and tidiness. The doorman was proactive and welcoming, and the front desk staff handled my check-in with warmth and thoroughness. The room's window offered a beautiful, quiet view directly facing Yuandang Lake. While the single room's amenities were a bit dated, they were well-maintained, and the room was generously stocked with water bottles. Breakfast was a major highlight; it was incredibly rich and varied, easily comparable to what you'd find at a five-star hotel.

Found a gem for our family trip to Xiamen! The Weishang Garden Hotel's family room is simply divine. It's in a prime location on Zhongshan Road, with a charming Nanyang retro vibe. Stepping out, you're surrounded by street food and shopping districts. It's super close to the ferry terminal and the Bashi market, saving us a lot of travel time. The room is incredibly spacious, bursting with a playful, child-friendly atmosphere. My kids instantly fell in love with the bunk bed with a slide, and the safety rails gave us parents peace of mind. There were dolls, building blocks, and a small tent – enough to keep the little ones entertained for half the day, meaning we didn't have to keep an eye on them constantly. The room also features a private little balcony, and the faint scent of tea in the corridor made us feel instantly relaxed upon entering. The entire room is equipped with smart devices, and the toiletries were clean and high-quality. The bathroom has a separate wet and dry area, and the floor is covered with soft mats, so we didn't have to worry about the kids bumping themselves while running barefoot. Robot delivery is available 24/7, and the concierge was incredibly responsive to our requests. The bedding was soft, ensuring a comfortable night's sleep. It's spacious and comfortable enough for a family of three or even families with two children. Our kids were already asking to come back next time we left. This is definitely our top choice for family accommodation!

Highly recommend the Vshang Zhongshan Road branch! The location is unbeatable – step right out onto Zhongshan Road Pedestrian Street with all sorts of old-brand snacks easily accessible. It's also just a 5-minute walk to Zhenhai Road Metro Station, making trips to Gulangyu Island and the Eight Markets super convenient. The hotel boasts a Nanyang arcade-style designer aesthetic, and the hallways have a subtle tea fragrance, not an overpowering artificial scent, which is a very pleasant experience. The rooms are spotless, and the smart home devices are simple to operate. The bedding is soft and the soundproofing is excellent, providing a rare quiet haven in the middle of a bustling area. The front desk service is attentive and thoughtful; they proactively shared local tips to avoid tourist traps and even offered free luggage storage after check-out. My entire stay was smooth and comfortable. I'll definitely choose this place again on my next visit to Xiamen.

I've been to Xiamen many times and stayed in many B&Bs. Sometimes, the photos online don't match the actual room, so I was a bit hesitant when I saw the pictures for this place, worried it might be different. But I was completely and pleasantly surprised! It looks exactly like the photos – the black leather sofa paired with the floor-to-ceiling windows makes for amazing pictures. The soundproofing is excellent, and the blackout curtains work perfectly. The pillows on the bed are incredibly comfortable; I just snuggled under the duvet, pulled the curtains shut, and slept like a baby. Plus, there's a washing machine, dryer, and garment steamer! I've absolutely fallen in love with this place! I plan to stay here every time I come back to Xiamen.

The environment is beautiful, and the sky garden on the fifth floor is perfect for photo ops. Taxis are readily available downstairs, and there are many snack options. The staff at the front desk (or 'the person who came to collect payment' - depending on context, '前来付款热情' is a bit ambiguous, but implies a staff member) were enthusiastic and helpful. The room was clean and tidy, and there was plenty of hot water.

I actually booked Niaodao Seaview Chaosu by accident, as my wife has had bad experiences with many seemingly beautiful guesthouses from photos. However, after staying in a suite at Niaodao for three nights, my wife was satisfied, and with her happy, I was naturally at ease 😄. To be fair, the service attitude was top-notch, and the hygiene was excellent. We had unlimited complimentary mineral water daily. The lobby (on the 7th floor) has a dedicated smoking room with good ventilation. Gulangyu Island is right across from us, offering a fantastic first-person view from the window. It was especially charming and unique during the stormy weather we experienced 🤫. If guests are returning from Gulangyu Island after 6 PM, they can take the Xiamen Ferry, which is directly opposite the hotel, just through an underpass. (Note: In the morning, ferries to Gulangyu only depart from Dongdu). Right outside Niaodao's entrance is the start of Zhongshan Road Pedestrian Street. You absolutely cannot say the location isn't good, can you? The 24th floor of this building houses the tallest Pizza Hut in China 😄. On the first floor, there's a 24-hour supermarket. To the left of the hotel entrance, there's a Commue Western restaurant and bar. If you don't feel like wandering around at night, you can just grab a cocktail here. There's also a Starbucks, and across the street is Heping Wharf, where you can take various Lujiang River cruises and night tours. There's also a travel agency on the first floor where you can inquire about tours to nearby attractions like the Tulou. The double-decker tourist bus stop is also right outside. A taxi to Dongdu Wharf takes 15 minutes. A taxi to the cable car takes 15 minutes. A taxi to the airport takes 30 minutes. Didn't run into Huang Bo, nor the beautiful proprietress. They are cousins.

Absolutely nothing good to say about this hotel: Terrible front desk service! The in-room Wi-Fi was abysmal! Deliveries can only be picked up from a shelf outside the hotel entrance! Honestly, besides the very kind security guard who helps with airport transfers, I can't find a single positive thing to mention. Avoid, avoid, avoid!!!!!!

Location is superb: The hotel is right next to Zhongshan Road Pedestrian Street. You can just walk a few steps downstairs to go shopping, eat, and buy local specialties – super convenient! It's also just a few minutes' walk to Zhonghua City Food Street, so you can enjoy dining, entertainment, and shopping all in one place. Transportation is also very convenient; it's close to the subway station, making it easy to get to Gulangyu Island Ferry Terminal, Nanputuo Temple, and Xiamen University. Clean rooms: The rooms are spotlessly clean, and the bedding is comfortable, ensuring a pleasant stay. Convenient facilities: Food deliveries are brought directly to your room door by a robot. The hotel also has a self-service laundry room, which is very handy for washing clothes in the summer.

I chose this hotel for a layover, and it was a great experience. It's very close to the subway station, which made catching my flight incredibly convenient. The overall environment was quiet and peaceful, not noisy at all, and the common areas were spotless. The room had a cinema theme, and the projector worked wonderfully – it was so relaxing to lie in bed and watch a movie after a long day of travel. The front desk service was very thoughtful; they responded quickly to any issues. The hygiene was excellent, and the bedding was super comfortable to sleep on. It's truly perfect for an overnight layover, and I'll definitely prioritize staying here again for my next transfer.
