Rajsamand|50.06km from downtownWe stayed here for 3 nights in the garden rooms and had a lovely time. The palace itself is amazing - I kind of wished we had paid the extra money for the quirky rooms there as the garden rooms had no view or sun. However they were spacious , very comfortable and stylish and lots of hot water. The swimming pool area and sun beds were perfect for some relaxing time We had drinks in the evening in the old bar in the palace part - very quiet so no atmosphere but I loved the way they had renovated and styled the room. The food was excellent - we stuck to the Indian food all the time and had dinner outside near the heaters with a lovely view of the starry sky. And the staff were so lovely - helpful , friendly but also happy to talk to us about their families and encourage us to try different foods ( chocolate dhosa s , who knew !) We happily explored the village with lots of hellos to all the children and also cycled around the lanes to see the temple - again brilliant. Altogether a very classy place , with fab food and friendly staff. Thank you.
