We're just a quick walk, bike, or drive to to the beach, hiking trails, or downtown Saugatuck and Douglas. Our home is styled after a Modern Cabin vibe, but still staying true to its history as a cabin getaway built in the 1940s. BED/BATHS: The house offers a large Primary Suite with king bed and bathroom with a walk in shower and jacuzzi bathtub. Upstairs in the loft is the ideal getaway for a couple or family to feel up in the trees with a king bed and trundle twin bed. Located right off the kitchen is a the third bedroom with a queen bed and twin bunk beds, perfect for a couple or all the kids. LIVING: The open concept living and dining room has a massive couch that can hold everyone staying, large Samsung Frame TV, wood burning fireplace, and long dining table that can hold up to 8 people.KITCHEN: The kitchen is fully stocked with anything you need to cook an amazing dinner. From dishes, cups, wine glasses, silverware, bakeware, cookware, basic appliances, olive oil, salt and pepper, and spices, you will be ready to start cooking from the moment you arrive. The kitchen also has a bar counter top on the island with seating for 4 and small breakfast table with seating for 6 to enjoy a nice morning breakfast.OUTDOORS: In the large front yard there is plenty of space for yard games and running around, with a fire-pit ready for roasting s'mores. Be sure to read all the way though Did you know, we have 2 units close to one another? If you're traveling with another couple/family both may be available for your dates. Our condo is on the water and is one of the best locations in our opinion. We are on the same side as Oval Beach & Mt. Baldy. You can literally walk across the street to Mt Baldy. We have an extremely comfy king bed in the bedroom. The kitchen has a Duo Keurig coffee maker and everything you need to cook with if you choose. We have teamed up with the Beachway resort across the street, you will have resort access with an outdoor pool and breakfast snacks. Our guests have use of all the amenities the resort offers! Parking is also included. Hotel amenities are seasonal, typically memorial to Labor Day please inquire before booking to be sure they’re open if you plan to use those perks Our huge shared deck overlooks the water and is a great place to catch sun, enjoy coffee, cocktails, meals or just chill. The views are unmatched. Cozy fireplace if you stay with us in the cooler months. The chain ferry operates seasonally (memorial day -Labor day) and is a fun way to get across the water to town. There are also several free and paid trolleys to town that pick you up right outside the condo. Our beautiful, clean, cozy, well appointed condo on the water is in one of the best locations in SaugatuckConde Nast top shoreline, Oval beach, visit Mount Baldhead, book a dune ride and so much more. Our guests are #1 which is why we personally host. No big companies here, just Dave and I to take care of you. The kitchen oven is half the normal size, so you may want to take a short walk to the coffee shops/ restaurants in town for meals!The spaceWe have tried our best to create a nice space for guests. Though it may not be perfect, we think it’s pretty great. Your space is part of what once was a single family home that has been split into three separate units. Each of them have their own entrance and dedicated parking spot. The noise in between units is minimal and shouldn't be a problem. The outdoor space includes a table and four chairs as well as a grill. The house is two blocks from town, so location is one of the greatest attributes of this space. The sunroom is my favorite part of this unit.Guest accessYou will have access to the first floor unit in the back of the house, as well as the connected sunroom and an outdoor patio and grill. You will have a private entrance on the left of the house and a dedicated off-street parking space (sometimes hard to find in Saugatuck!). The kitchen is fully stocked with dining and cooking dishes and appliances, including a standard coffee maker. The living room is comfortable and includes a tv with basic hulu streaming services. The wifi is excellent throughout the space. The bedroom includes a comfortable bed and night tables. The living room couch also folds out to a bed, and there are spare sheets and bedding in the baskets in the living room coffee table if needed. The bathroom has a standard shower and includes shampoo, conditioner and bath soap. Butterfly Cottage is a truly unique cottage located in the Historic district of Saugatuck. Casual cottage styling mixed with colorful spaces, this cottage makes for a comfortable stay in Saugatuck. This quaint cottage will accommodate 8 or 9 people comfortably. The main house has two bedrooms; one with a queen sized bed and the other with a full. The bungalow, just steps away in the backyard, serves as the third bedroom and has heat and air conditioning. The bungalow has a queen size bed and also bunk beds. The bungalow has a full bath that was added in 2011. As an added convenience, there are no steps getting into the bungalow.Located in the heart of the village district, plan on walking to all the in-town locations. The river is just a few hundred feet away with shops, restaurants and parks located within a 3-10 minute walk. If you are familiar with Saugatuck, Butterfly cottage is a stone's throw from the public boat launch, Gleason's market and Ida Reds. We are happy to be one of the few places to welcome well mannered pets in our cottage. An added plus, the back yard is fully fenced. Please note that if you plan on bringing your pet, you need to include them in your booking. When you are inputting the number of guests, you will want to make sure you add "Yes" to the pet question as well as to include the pet information in the booking. There is an extra cleaning fee of $100 if you let me know in your booking. If there is any evidence of a pet being at the home without you including this in the booking, there will be a charge of $500.Off street parking for 1 larger vehicle or 2 smaller ones. Welcome to 842 Lake St., Unit 12, in Saugatuck! Available April to November. This charming condo has recently been redecorated with an updated kitchen and is fresh and clean waiting for you! Our professional cleaning crew and laundry service cleans everything on the beds between each guest, (from sheets to duvet cover and pillow shams). The cleaning crew also takes extra precautions by cleaning and disinfecting high touch surfaces to protect our guests.This condo is perfect for a family of four or 2 couples (actually we love it just for the two us too!) It’s open concept is great for entertaining while enjoying the water view. The condo has a “master” bedroom with a queen bed and the 2nd bedroom has a full bed. Both bedrooms have dressers so you can unpack your clothes and get comfy and don’t have to paw through your suitcase. There is a large closet in the dining room and master bedroom for stowing suitcases or hanging clothes, etc. The open living room, dining room, and kitchen have views of Lake Kalamazoo. You will see the best sunsets in Saugatuck sitting outside on the patio furniture or sitting on the livingroom sofa. Enjoy the best view of the 4th of July fireworks right from the condo! There is cable smart tv and wifi in the comfortable living room where you can put your feet up after a day of shopping, boating, walking, bike riding, or whatever. Each bedroom has its own ceiling fan and the living room has two paddle fans. All windows open for a good cross breeze.If you are familiar with Saugatuck, you know that parking is at a premium. You are in luck; this condo comes with 2 parking spots on the premises!The full sized kitchen has a ceramic top stove and quartz countertops, refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, garbage disposal, coffee maker, toaster, and blender, dishes, glassware, silverware. You may not need all of those kitchen appliances as there are many restaurants to choose from in both Saugatuck and Douglas, however, the view is so beautiful from this condo that you may choose to cook in and enjoy your meal outside on the landscaped grounds. We think you will really enjoy staying at our vacation rental. Saugatuck and Douglas are so much fun and there is always something going on day or night. You can enjoy watching antique cars go by, plus walkers, and bicyclists. Tuck'd Away was built in 2017 and appropriately named as it is tucked right into historic downtown Saugatuck. Built to be architecturally significant and professionally decorated providing a unique option to enjoy Saugatuck.Tuck'd Away backs up to Phil's Grill and is next to the downtown Methodist Church. A gate out of the back yard leads to Butler Street ( which is the main shopping block downtown ). You can walk to Kilwin's in about 300 feet. Walk out the front door and Lucy's Kitchen ( a local hotspot ) is across the street.Despite being so close to everything, the lot is wooded and the backyard provides a nice level of privacy and screening. You really are Tuck'd Away in Historic Downtown Saugatuck.Tuck'd Away was designed as a Modern Gothic Cottage. It is much larger than it appears from the front. With over 3,000 square feet of living space, it offers 4 full bedrooms, a 4 person bunkroom ( 5th bedroom ), 3 full bathrooms, designer kitchen, seating for 14, family great rooms on both levels, laundry room and a perfect screen porch that opens to the main living area. Even being tucked into the Downtown Village, the wooded lot and landscaping will surprise you with its sense of privacy.If you have spent time in Saugatuck, you will appreciate that the driveway will accommodate 3 vehicles, with additional on street parking across the street. Of course, unless you leave Downtown to explore the region or go to Oval Beach, you won't be using your vehicle.Tuck'd Away was completed from scratch in May 2017. It was professionally decorated in the Chinoiserie style. Great Rooms on both floors provide plenty of space for large groups to spend time together and also allows for the opportunity to retreat into smaller groups. The kitchen is well equipped and accessorized. The combined seating of the dining room, island and breakfast table is 14.The screen porch is a favorite spot. Large doors can be left open to the main floor great room, creating a flowing and expanded space. The screen porch enjoys a nicely landscaped and screened garden setting. The outdoor eating area seats 6 and has a Weber Gas Grill.There are lots of great vintage homes in Downtown Saugatuck. As great as vintage homes are, they don't provide the same modern design, ease of living and quality as a new custom built home. Working closely with the Saugatuck Historic Commission on the design, many people will assume Tuck'd Away was built in the 1930'sWe are happy to be one of the few homes that welcomes well mannered pets.
